You should get more recognition for your spec on this model - it’s to die for. Instant classic!
The Ferrai Pista is the nicest design. It is beautiful.
I love how the launch control button is the most faded one of them all.
Love how you specced your Pista, Damian. Very elegant and classy and with your unique stamp on it. Such a beautiful horse. Wishing you many more glorious miles . Great vid.
One of the best Ferrari specs I've ever seen. Very unique but it absolutely works 100%.
👍🏻👍🏻
The Pista is my current dream car, especially after COVID since the Lexus LFA become unaffordable for me. There are a couple specific specs that I have seen on Insta that I want the most though, mainly the Verde Kers and Viola Hong Kong specs. What I appreciate the most about Damian is that he's a harsh truths guy - very little if anything exists that is truly flawless, and calling out those errors or annoyances is key to describing the overall experience.
Your outfit and car are colour matching. Nice one! You are the most easy going and humble Ferrari owner on RUclips. You clearly enjoy having fun and don’t take trivial things too seriously. Enjoy in great health!
I love that color combination of that car.. The gold brings that grey out!! Pinaferreri Designs are timeless.
The more I see this car the more beautiful it is. I would love to see it in person to see if it's as gobsmaking as on film. What a car! Great vid !
Oh man, it is so good to see that you guys still produce new content. I wasn't much on youtube last few years, last video I watched was when yellow TDF lest the garage.
Keep up the good work! 🍺🍺
Nice one Damian and yeah you really 100% nailed the spec of that car... really beautiful!
This contrast spec absolutely works 👌 totally gorgeous. Beautiful car ❤️
I recall the “speccing video”…..you were right all along, well done.
Fantastic honest review, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for another great video to mark the start of the weekend. Enjoyable review - but the real question is how does it compare to the Aperta? You have us some hints,(as a Speciale owner) I would like to hear the “head to head”. Great spec that you have, amazing interior, I am quite jealous.
My 4th favourite Ferrari behind the la Ferrari, f40 and Enzo. Awesome car and spec
You did surpass yourself on the spec, it is absolutely stunning, second only to your 458 speciale aperta for me,
Another great video Damian.
And I admire your honesty in regards to the Pista Spider’s flaws.
I do agree with you that the spec of your car is fantastic!
That being said the overall exterior design of the 488/F8, whether standard or Pista or Spider, just does not work for me at all. Far too busy, especially when contrasted with the 458..
The Speciale is where it's at for me when it comes to modern v8s. Definitely looking forward to THAT video! Hopefully standard Speciale rather than Aperta
Great Content. Thank You for sharing. have a nice day!❤👍
👍🏻👍🏻
That's actually hilarious about the color spec. Its a stunning color Combination.
Simply gorgeous car! Beautiful, elegant, sporty WOW
Beautiful spec Damien, you are a man of impeccable taste! I do like that launch spec with white and blue strip very much too🙂
Sweeeeeeeeeet.
Toys for the boy...
What a lush car to have in the garage..
Thanks as ever for sharing
Damian that's my favorite in your collection u speced it perfect chocolata & grigio EXCELLENT COMBO👌🏽
Congrats Damian, it is an amazing spec.
Cheers
Aggressively beautiful. I couldn't have said it better Damian. Another fantastic video.
The Pista is a masterclass in car design. The in-house team at Maranello under the direction of Flavio Manzoni knocked it out of the park with the Pista and haven't matched it since. I genuinely wonder if they will ever surpass it, because the F8, SF90 and 296 GTB are all lovely cars, but (for me) fall short of what they achieved with the Pista.
I bought a Pista because (in my humble subjective opinion) it's one of the most beautiful cars ever designed. The swooping nose that perfectly intersects with the S-duct, the rear design and stance, the lines, those lines!, the proportions, my god those proportions!, the aggression, and most importantly of all - the beauty. This thing is a masterpiece of drama, theatre and elegance.
To me, it's the most breathtaking Ferrari in the past 30 years. The 458 still looks sublime, but the extra drama and 'winky fizz' in the Pista pips it to the post for me. Sure, I wish it had the ferocious top end sound of the 458 Speciale and the lighter responsive steering, but to me the Pista is a more attractive design and I was willing to trade in those acoustics and imperfections for the emotional heart-wrenching visual oomph I personally get from the design. And my goodness does it shift. Imperfectly perfect. What a car!
What a lovely car. Inspired bit of spec'ing. I can see why you're pleased.
Stunning spec , just need a straight pipe to be perfect! Before I preferred the Speciale, but after I drove a friend's 488 Pista with a straight pipe, I fell in love with the car, driving at the limit with everything OFF, it's one of the most fun cars ever made! And about the maximum speed, several tests with gps have already proven that it exceeds 217mp/h easy! And the sound of the turbos with that exhaust is amazing!! Regarding the car's steering and brakes, yours must have something wrong, because there's nothing on the market that comes close to the feel of driving at 488 Pista, the steering precision, the brakes' sharpness, and I work with sports cars at almost 15 years, already driving almost everything you can imagine! Or are you just not used to more direct cars, because I feel like driving a 488 Challenge when I drive a 488 Pista! Regarding the sound, as I said before, you need a straight pipe! And the sound is muffled by Euro 5 laws and not the Turbos fault!
Love the spec Damian looks bloody marvellous. So how many Ferrari's have you done so far? I hope there are still a lot more to come, loving this series. Cheers 🍻
Plenty more to come
Congratulations Damien on having such an incredible Ferrari. I say go big or go home👍
This is one of the best specs ever. Well done Damian!
I love this channel 💙
👍🏻👍🏻
Love that car Damian, still waiting to see it in person. My Audi has that annoying stop start every time as well. Pain in the ….
Great video, surprised you have not put a cherished plate on this one yet!
Good point
Sensational car, spec is wonderful, love to know which is the more exciting car between your 675 LT McLaren OR THIS ?? Come on own up ? Great content 👍
It’s my one of my favourite supercars.I have a blue pista piloti.
Nice!
Honest review thanks.Hope you can conjour up a 16M for some extra raw fizz in the sound department etc
0- 100 MPH HAS TO COME WAAAAAY Quicker than 8.0 Seconds
Well done with the spec. Great looking car and an interesting review but I do have a problem with the video. It made me jealous! 😂
Whilst I am unlikely to ever own a Pista at least I have managed to get a ride in one. Thanks to Ray of the mighty CSC👍
The roof is amazing... as long as it's up when it starts raining 😅
Good spec. I approve.
Enjoyed that, lovely spec although I'm not a carbon fan so may have looked at what was standard. Agree re the noise, not as good as what some others produce. The state of the inside of those exhaust pipes mister, have you not heard of Autosol? 😄
your outfit matches the car beautifully
I love seeing this car! Regarding the stop/start - With all the after market tuning firms we have here, why cant one of them (just one of them) create a permanent Stop/start switch. Whenever this is triggered in my daily driver I'm instantly transported to a very younger me in a stalling car with poorly tuned Carbs. All this does is give petrolheads heart attacks at T Junctions and roundabouts.
Love the spec D, I would only change two little things, agree/disagree?, 1. Yellow centre caps, 2. Stripe on the windscreen surround, 😄.
Beautiful car, great spec. Just a slight correction you stated the 0-100 time as 8 seconds it’s actually 5.2. Don’t want you under selling such a great car cheers
What a beautiful car!
Grey over brown, superbly classy spec, in any really nice motor.
Has that 812 GTS launch feel, before the GTS.
Edit: as I typed it, you said it. Doh...
EDIT2: AMAZZZING spec, bet it kept you up at night. 🤔
Soooooo Ferrari will not let you specc a car the way you want... If they think its not gonna work? I can see thats a good idea in many cases, but I didnt think they would do that.
That almost is a Mike Reid (of old) catch phrase "That will blow your socks off" ...."run around ....nn.n..nn.. Now"
100k coming soon! Will you celebrate with us?
I am actually missing the wrist check, was always fun and interesting!
I love the car I would have done gold horse on seats and stitching, have to see also how bright matching seatbelts
👍🏻
Really elegant and beautiful spec. Complements! However the SF90 does have the most powerful v8 Ferrani engine to date with 769bhp and it sits very low also; of course the electric motors add still more power.
Most amazing molto bellissimo!! 😊😎. Can an aftermarket exhaust tune the sound better!?!? … or just get a 12 cylinder 🤨
gorgeous
Beautiful..apart from the climate controls,
I own a Ferrari 488 here in Sweden, but have never touched the start/stop button. all Ferraris delivered here have the function switched off so you don't have to switch it off every time.
Never had that in my 488
My 488 GTB of 2015 in Switzerland has the start/stop function switched off all the time, for gods sake! I never touch the botton anymore 😄
@@kettenhof Bliss
Great spec I don’t like flat carbon too ,looks like plastic
love the vid!..... just a side note.... dont mean to be a dick, but its pronounced 'IN-CONEL', not 'I-CONEL'..... its the material used for F1 exhausts for its favourable lighter weight and better heat and acoustic properties, just for future reference.
I wish they would upgrade their hub display. Did you know about the steering when you test drove it
Test drove it?
@@TheCarGuysTV take that type of car out for a drive before you buy?
@@andrewstorm8240 Nope, you order it, it arrives, you drive it away
@@TheCarGuysTV ah now understand / anyway looks amazing and those gold wheels work
how do you see the pista prices in 5-10 years ?
realy strong at the minute.
I would say still pretty good. The 296 is just not a replacement. Plenty of people have a soft spot for the Pista.
Finbarr Saunders ☺
Beautiful. But trimmed in resale fuzzy brown?
Love the colours, it sounds terrible tho right?
what's the best car overall for track, street ,daily driver and comfort in f8 tributo or 488 pista think to buy one and still can't decide both are good
They are both very similar to drive - the Tributo feels faster and is obviously slightly newer tech. But I prefer the look of the Pista.
23:42 Oh boo hoo, cry me a river for your monumental inconvenience. But thanks for the video, you did a great job on the spec!
Nice car but the Speciale is better!
Are you expecting me to disagree?
That is a lovely spec. So bored of black interiors and resale spec.
Keep it
Actually the V8 in the SF90 Stradale is more powerful. Cheers from Italy!
My 488’s stop start is off be default
Appreciate that you honestly share also dislikes! 👍🏻
Beautiful cat but that interior just needs to be leather in Cognac
And black wheels.
🙏🙏
oh really? had to fight for the chocolate-brown? - 2:11 - listen to this man: ruclips.net/video/YiskbWOcQ5s/видео.html
nice spec, anyways! cheers
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wonderful. It is a shame the miserable eco mentalists are determined to suck the joy out of our lives in all areas. Just enjoy these wonderful machines while we still can, or tuck aways the cars from the last 30 years for days of fun in the future.

Good episode but Damien, not great. I watch the car Guys because of 'the guys' element. Where is Jason? The two of you are great together. Morecambe and Wise even. Entertainment is an understatement. Laugh every minute. I love the Ferrari content of drive every Ferrari but, with Jason and his comments the episodes would be so much better. Sorry to moan.
🤔 Wow really?. No Damien is doing just fine on his own. These videos are meant to be all about the vehicles. Not a comedy show, this is not Top Gear.....
Always hilarious when an English nationalist thinks they’re not in Europe! 😂😂
Stop start was first introduced in Europe by VW in the 80’s but was first used in the 1960’s.
And first put in a car by Toyota in the 1970’s more for the American market.
So bugger all to do with the BritNat rant about Europe!!
Are you a moron?
As far as color combos inside and out and wheels, I don't think you could've made it any worse or uglier unless you added some green stitching too... jeesh. hard to look at. Great car and one of Ferraris best but you win the ugly and awful spec award. lol
👌🏻
Damian, you're so full of it! Making faces while supposedly "giving it some beans" doesn't wash when the background moves past no faster. Spare us!
😂😂😂😂
Just subbed now you doing Ferrari after just seen talbot sunbeam ….unsubbed 👎
No idea what you are on about...
Boring 😂
🤔🥱 Then why are you here Karen. Your channel is next door 🚪😳.........
It's a beautiful car Damian, but as a non-turbo fan, the 458 Speciale will always be my favourite. 😍 Totally agree about the stupid stop / start: this has NO PLACE in any high performance car. Great vid once again, my friend! 👍🏻
Can you bypass the switch!?
@@michaelkempton937 I was wondering that too? Maybe a fuse removal is needed... 😉
I owned a new 458 back in 2013,luved that car,I now own a pista, the power delivery is so much better than a 458.
@@nojabs999 I believe you Don...but it doesn't really sound as good though?
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab I agree,I would prefer the power tho.
You’re so good at putting across the essence of a car
Can you drive a 16M and review for your series
I was lucky to daily one here in LA for approx a year in 2010 ( sold it for a 458 ) but it’s still one of the all time best drivers cars I’ve owned .
Love to get your in depth review ( the sound is unbelievable along with the brutal single clutch shift at speed )
I hate these new style Ferrari's. If I had too much money probably a 16M would be sitting in the garage. Concerning the start/stop maybe find a hacker that can inhibit it forever. Can't be that difficult.
What a fabulous video. I love these detailed reviews of Ferraris in this series. Eyes glued to the screen for the whole of the video. You certainly have a lovely spec Pista Spider. Keep up the good work. Andy. 🚗👍

True dat
Stunning beautiful spec, thanks for all your top quality videos.
I saw this at Wilton in September 2021, and thanked the man himself, this does work, and stunning in the metal. All that attention to specification has created a work of art. Awesome Damian - thank you again for the entertainment and attention to detail in this fascinating series. Always a privilege to park in the gravelled square at Wilton, I had earlier in the year at the Classic meet with one of my stable.
It should definitely NOT feel heavy in the steering. It should feel super light and easy, more so than a 488 and 458. If it feels heavy, then it more than likely has way too much toe out. I did a lot of testing with mine, and when we tested it with 30 minutes out on each side i.e. ½ degree out per side it made an old Porsche feel light by comparison.
Let me share these numbers with you. They are slightly off from factory, but they are better and very similar to what Ferrari also uses for Corsa Pilota cars. With this setup, I can run 1.18 times cont. n Paul Ricard.
* = degreees. ' = minutes. All numbers are per side.
Front camber: -1*44'
Front toe: -7'
Front caster: Leave as is. It will more than likely be fine.
Rear camber: -1*52'
Rear toe: +14'
These numbers are perfectly fine for the street and will retain very good tyre wear characteristics. The car will also work great on tracks such as Brands Hatch and Silverstone for a track day. Just make sure you keep an eye on the tyre temps. Run them hot in the 2.2 bar squared range. If you see them go above 2.4, get in and adjust. As soon as they get too high, temps spike and the pressure goes off the charts, and then grip is gone. You can also use this for normal road driving. Rather than trying to make it work with whatever Ferrari says in the manual, just go and drive the car like you normally would for about 30 minutes. Set fronts to 2.2 bars and rears for 2.1 hot. I assume that you run on MPSC2's.
Reality is that many Ferraris come off the factory with abysmal alignment. Way off from factory spec. My regular 488 was all over the place for example. Had over 1.5 degrees of camber difference in the rear from side to side, and that to the opposite direction of the crown in the road. My Pista coupe had toe in on one rear wheel and toe out on the other. Just a disaster. Now I always take a new car directly to an alignment on day one, and I've yet to get one that was right, even my 812 Comp was off.
EDIT!: Just realized that I had written -1 degree and 42 minutes for rear camber. That should have been -1 degree 52 minutes.
Thanks for the info - v interesting
My dream car.
I can't understand why Ferrari would insert that blade of plastic across the dash and not make it a carbon option, which would no doubt add an extra grand into the Ferrari coffers, great video as usual!
you know you are specially loaded when your ferrari has painted cavalino shields :P
Love the spec. I remember watching you go thru the process and thinking it wouldn't be my choice. But now it's really grown on me. The gold wheels are gorgeous and the chocolato interior pure genius. But £10k fur the shields! Did they resurrect Caravaggio fur the paint job??
Rocking that understated PP.
