The angel looks wonderful! Loved hearing you share how you approached washing it, as well as the internal process of giving up, wise stitchers suggesting its about the memories, and then deciding to continue. You're an inspiration to watch - thank you for your videos.
Hey Arica! Thank you for the mention 🎉 and the kind words💙 on my vacation and on limited data, but finally found a WiFi to watch😅. Feeling what you said about too many goals, already feeling slightly stressed with my lola crow sal and the loose plans I had for Christmas in July. Go for what feels right 😊
Thank you for the video. Your projects are great, making a project bag is on my to do list yet and yours you’ve made is great. Chris Cross Stitch has always said in his videos the same thing about Mr. Rodger’s and welcome to the neighborhood which is so true with this community of stitchers from advise to generosity.
You are so welcome! Thank you for tuning in and reminding me about Chris, you are right he totally says that! Good luck on your project bag, I hope you have some fun with it :)
I’d seen your post about your oldest wip on Instagram and how wonderful it is looking after its bath, and loved seeing it again here! It is very fitting that you will finish this beautiful Angel with Samantha. I’m also loving astitchers12daysofchristmas and have posted for all the prompts so far! You have such great ideas and fun flosstubes!
Oh thank you so much Karen! It’s challenging to consistently create content that is interesting, fun and new. I’m happy to hear you are enjoying the content.
You've made us all so happy by washing the Angel! She is so beautiful! The side-by-side shows how the colors indeed have intensified. It's like the results of a museum cleaning a painting! I had a friend who collected antique clothing. She swore by ruthlessly cleaning the heck out of old fabric that other people might think was too fragile. So I was delighted you went with laundry detergent. And the OxiClean was inspired. The work bag you made is adorable. Love the fabrics you chose.
Thank you! I was a little nervous and thought it may strip away the colors but it didn’t , it worked out great! Imagine how satisfying your friends job must be, getting to see all those old piece come back to life!
I love your videos and especially the Mirabilia ones as I was just starting my first one. I’m so glad you came up with a plan for the Angel. It’s gorgeous. I agree about being stitching neighbors. Chris XrossStitch says that on his videos, too! No matter where we are in the world, we are all neighbors in this wonderful community. Please keep your videos coming!
Oh you know what, I forgot about that! You are absolutely right, he does say that in every video! I need to catch up with him, it’s been a while. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope the Mira videos will help you enjoy your new Mira!!
As the world's least prolific stitcher I am in awe of how much you get done! I bought a book of days this year and I can safely say I've really enjoyed putting in the stickers! 😊
Arica!!!! I’m so excited to find you!! I recently started watching Sam over on the Hygge stitcher and caught the joint video…and immediately jumped over to subscribe here. What I wonderful voice you have. Very soothing…I enjoyed all of your content and projects. While Teresa Wentzler is not my esthetic, I can appreciate all the work y’all put into them, and the beautiful results. But if it ain’t bringing joy, move on!!! Chris cross stitch also refers to everyone as his neighbors. I think it’s a wonderful way to build the community and feel like more than just nam3s on the screen. Love it!!!
Nice to meet you Jenni! TW are definitely not a lot of ppls cup of tea, that’s for sure! I happy to hear you have found us and have enjoyed what you’ve seen so far :) Happy stitching!
Hi Arica! I’m so glad that were able to save your angel! It’s a so sentimental peace for you with all this memories! ❤ Also you’re so lucky to get all this great gifts! I hope to enjoy them!😊
Thank you for your Canadian-centric Flosstube and the mention of other Canadian Flosstubers and designers! I'm a dual citizen living in the US and it is so frustratingly hard to find Canadian designs - even by Canadian designers! Thank you for bringing attention to the designs out there. I must find the montage. It is incredible! 🏒🥌🍁
Hi Arica! Your Celestial Dragon is gorgeous. I’ve started that project twice and now I’m thinking I should get it back out. I started it when I was 15-16ish and never secured any of my threads back then so I’m sure it’s a mess! It was nice to catch up with you and I am excited to see how your Elizabeth Furniss starts shaping up.
@@FibersandFlossCanada how kind of you to assume there was planning involved. I taught myself how to stitch and just didn’t know. I never finished any of these projects mostly because I was a kid and also because I, for some reason, jumped right into hard mode Teresa Wentzler kits. I still have all of them in my craft dungeon and I still have the pattern books, but I think I would restart. I should dig them all out and look at them.
Very true, it’s so easy to forget that esp when you want to be able to provide good content. I’m sure you are familiar with these stresses as well! Thanks for watching today and I look forward to our swap :)
Thank you for taking time to do this. I’m a recently retired nurse with 3 adult children. I remember how crazy summers were but also how busy each year was has they got older! I have lots of time now to sew and quilt. Plus I’ve turned one of the kids room into my craft room. No empty nest here!! I loved the time we spent together when they were little but I really enjoy the adults they are now. Something to look forward to❤.
Oh how lovely Lori! I look forward to those days but I’m really focusing on enjoy the present time with them today :) they are such great children and bring me so much joy 🤩 Thanks for tuning in today :)
❤❤❤the comment the joy out of my hobby. I work full time and don’t want stress when I’m stitching. I’ve put my Teresa Wentzer away more than once. It’s the dragon and castle and over 20 year old whip.
Oh Arica, I was so distressed to hear of your recent bout of anxiety. Thank goodness your self preservation prevailed so you could figure out an intervention. How fortunate to have a kindred spirit in Samantha, who has your back. I’m wondering if you’ve had a chance to view any of The Comfort Stitcher’s episodes, especially the one that has a meditation session? Think we can all benefit from taking a moment or two during our busy days to find peace and calm and recenter ourselves. Thanks for all you do!
Girl! That freaking bag is amazing!!! Let me know if you are willing to part with it.🤑🤑🤑 I enjoy your flosstubes, don’t comment cause I’m usually commuting. But today, I was the only person in the small therapy gym. I could enjoy your floss tube while typing up my evaluations.
Thank you so much! She was so much fun to make and I had the thought of making bags like these, I did once, but it takes a lot of time to be creative in making that quilted panel… how nice to hear you were able to watch in comfort this time (or while working in private!). I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some good stitchy time in :)
I was so excited and planning to attend your stitch event on the 6th. Our daughter who lives in chilliwack was due to have her baby on the 12th and we were going to be there patently waiting in the birth. Baby had different ideas though and arrived June 28th. Hopefully I will be able to make one in the future.
Angel of Spring! OMG! I did her for my Mom in....1999??? Can't remember. I also did Angel of the Sea for my sister and put my niece and nephew's names on it, like a baby announcement sort of. My oldest WIP is Winter Queen from 2002. I'm sure that you can fix the project that you have to frog. Sometimes the stitching Gods are against us. I have also run up against the quilting Gods with the same results. Time outs are necessary. The frog project is awesome! Excellent quilting job.

Hello Arica! First of all great finish with the froggy project 🐸 Second, it's so impressive how different the "Angel of Spring" looks, it's a totally different project, maybe not perfect but certainly good enough to worth your time and effort to finish it, in my opinion! 😇 Also I wanted to say, please don't push yourself to the point that you'll want to stop doing altogether all the fun things you do, fun for us and hopefully fun for you too😁 I mean, I've said many times how much I enjoy watching your videos but it's not that you HAVE to do them! Your family and your personal well being is more important and if you are well and you feel well, and you have some time and you WANT to make a video for us that's really great too!!! So, take care of yourself, enjoy, rest a bit and we'll be here whenever you feel like making a new video! Might we meet each other at the Midsummer Stitch event or probably it's impossible with the time difference? But you never know 😍🛋🍷🧵🪡🤞

Hello Arica, if it really bugs you then frog it or fudge it. However perfection belongs to God ( Persian saying) so often the carpet weavers often put a "mistake" in the carpet weave to keep the evil eye away from their work. Heck yes.....have I left something too to ward off the evil eye 🧿 um yes to that too. As ever I love your projects. And yes Enjoying the stitch is really important.
