@@cpbbailz sean is passed tbe point of having a production boss.he is the show. The sub him to a different interviewer, the show will be canceled.sean would have a new job next day.and prolly own more of it
The reason Hot Ones is so successful in my personal opinion. Its because Sean is such a great interviewer. So many times his guests say things like "how did you know that" or "man you are really good at this" I don't think the show would be as successful without him. I dont think ive seen someone conduct interviews as well as him. He's rather amazing at his job. I'm sure a lot of it goes to the people behind the scenes as well. Its nice to see people who are passionate about their work.
Yeah, after a few episodes the hot wings could have become very gimmicky and everyone would have lost interest over time. His(and the shows staff) talent keeps the show in production.
Davidevan84 I agree! Sean is phenomenal in retaining this information and getting it across in such a natural way but I bet there’s a whole team of people missing out on credit. The editing, camera, lighting, guy who gets coffee etc etc...the show is so well done!
I watch this show for one reason, evens shut eating grin when his guest bites into the first super hot sauce and they are crying, and he’s fighting back the shut eating grin! And then he says I’m right here with you, no your not, your laughing your ass off! That’s 😄 funny
brvihu if you like the way he interviews and dives into topics that are not known facts about certain people, you would probably enjoy watching Nardwuar interviews...it’s mostly musicians but he’s so entertaining to watch and he always surprises his guests with really cool questions, and really neat surprise gifts!
He is amazing. I hope he'll start using chili peppers instead of chili sauce, like Chili Klaus. He has had Danish celebs crying their eyes out as well as Sean...
I seriously believe that in each pre-interview before shooting Hot Ones, he tells each celebrity: "If you ever need a moment to think about a question, just say 'Wow, that's a good question...' - it gives you a moment to ponder, and the audience seems to like it." :P
we always see guests surprised both by the hot wings AND the questions being thrown at them. "Wow. that's a really good question" is something you hear all the time in Hot Ones.
I know! I never really see guests turning around to make eye contact with anyone other than the host. He was twisting and turning to make sure that Rita was in the conversation. He also is very easy to understand m. It probably helps that he’s less immune to getting star struck because of his show.
I can tell Kelly Clarkson and the other lady hasn't watched his show. The reason why Hot Ones is so successful is because his interview questions are so well thought out and intentional. That is why most people have fallen in love with the show. Also Sean himself is very charismatic! It's hard to see him be interviewed and asked such surface questions when he asks his guests in depth questions but oh well
I think that charisma is the key, it’s the way he interacts with, connects with his guests. He’s always right there with them, so attentive. Sean is so reassuring to his guests- it looks like he makes them feel safe and respected and THAT is the key he brings to Hot Ones.
They're a bunch of pretentious wanna bes who wants to be "in the now" 'cause their writers told them that it has been trending for a couple or more years now.
Sean Evans is a fantastic interviewer. Thoughtful, articulate and engaging. His interviews are some of the best out there, and his saying they meet celebs halfway as they are “career spanning” is absolutely justified
Does anyone else find it highly ironic that Chris and Sean invented a new way to interview celebrities so as to take away the monotony of asking them the same questions they get asked all the time, yet whenever Sean gets interviewed he gets asked the same shit by every fucking body?
He puts his guests at ease by asking real thought-out questions. He doesn't pander to them and that's why every single one of them compliment him and say how much of a wonderfully fun experience the interview was at the end.
Great format, but he’s an incredible interviewer. Does the research, insightful, interesting, makes it really personal, let’s them talk and doesn’t make it about himself. Truly genius!
He deserves all the success. But Hot Ones is good enough for him. He can control that. If he goes Network. It will not be the same as Hot one's. Big wings will want to control everything.
The part that Sean gets right with Hot Ones is DOING HIS RESEARCH. It pained me when Rita had obviously never seen a single video, or even heard about it. "Peppers"?? Really? And laughing so hard at the fact that Sean asks GOOD QUESTIONS, surprising the guests at the depth he researched their lives. Unlike MOST interviews, like THIS one, where they've never watched any of Sean's content, or anything about him. They fed Kelly some basic, current info, that came across as just... not caring about the guest at all. Sean, you're the man. You've proven that interviews don't have to be like this, all work and no heart.
She was cringe on this and disrespectful, laughing at Sean when answering Kelly's questions. You can tell he takes his job as an interviewer very serious and looks uncomfortable when she just keeps laughing for no reason. On the outside perspective or from someone who's never watched the show it might seem like its just a show with celebrities pooping their pants and getting a runny nose from hot sauce, but it is a serious thing for him and that's why its successful, because he works hard in every single interview he does and keeps it professional amd respectfull.
Sean is the king of the interview. I'm sure the softball generic questions that shows like this ask give him a great sense of why celebrities love his questions.
