I upgraded to the SIM Max 2 D driver this fall over my box set titilest driver and from the first hit I was sold! Easily gained 30 yard's further distance from the Titleist driver. Plus the D really straightened out my flight! Going to get fitted for the irons over the winter and am really excited to play them next year. First time on your channel and subscribed and am looking forward to watching!! Great video 💗
Great review, Sophie! Thanks! My swing speed is close to yours, so I can identify much more with your reviews. Just ordered the SIM2 Max in driver & HL 3 wood. I can't wait!
Great review. I've recently been fit to the Sim 2 Max. Having always been fit to low spin driver models like the ping g series lst, I was surprised that the max outperformed them for me. The sim 2 was good, but the dispersion and distance were slightly better with the max
Thanks for the great feedback Brian. Whether it's worth an upgrade is up to the individual golfer and what gains you can find during a custom fitting session.
Thanks Keith, great to hear that people like yourself are benefitting from the Golfalot content. Stay tuned for more and spread the word on social media where you can. Thanks!
Taylormade Burner Bubble driver need I say more... :) The official Bubble Shaft Burner was released in 1995, officially the first graphite shaft in golf. The Burner would make a few reprises in the early to mid 2000’s, and again in 2015 as the Aeroburner Driver. The R series Drivers
12 handicapper here. Have SIM 2 and SIM MAX D both 10.5. I find it much easier to hit Sim Max D than Sim2 and distance about same yet Max D is the fairway finder for me
This is for anyone who might read this at this point. Take the max put a 20 gram in rear and test putting an 8 gram round front weight or 18 and 10 it can be well worth your effort ⛳️

@@GolfalotTV I am a subscriber now and really enjoy watching your reviews! Yeah I just got one with a sim max I’ve picked up 15 yds of carry and have tighter dispersion!
I took a chance on the SIM max but hated it and never got on with it- did notnslsonlike the look. Compared to my trusty m2. Though when I tried the pxg gen 2 X with an aftermarket shaft it was so much better and superior including sound, feel, huge decrease in dispersion too. Wow. And much cheaper in the states than any of the other main brands though the aftermarket shaft is expensive - venture blue velocore. I see the gen 4 is now out too. So am looking forwatd to testing. I hear also that the new titleists are great- some 47 in play at the Sony open in Hawaii. Must be something in it!
I had a Sim, was super excited but with my insane spin, it was shit. Fitter got me into a TS3 and even though I hate to admit it, it’s amazing. Hitting bombs.
I actually found the m2 to be better, more reliable etc than any of the Taylor mades since then so am reluctant to go SIM max 2 given also my not so good experience with the SIM max. Indeed same applied to my SIM max hybrid which just never lived up to the reliability and consistency of my ts2 hybrid yet I game a SIM 5 wood with s stiff shaft.
Soph: Fantastic Driver review. One question for you. Were you using the Fuji Ventus 5S "for TaylorMade" or the Ventus 5s with Velocore (the expensive upcharge model). I just got fitted for the Sim 2 Max over the weekend (Ventus 5S). Should the average 10 - 15 handicap golfer (driver swing speed 95 - 100) even consider the upcharge "Velocore" shaft? Thanks again!
Great to see a genuine review that’s not some guy smashing it over 350 yards like most us can’t do. Keep up the great work.

@@GolfalotTV Already had. Great Chanel. Ps you were great on the Rick Shields pod cast 👍

Look great but not sure performance warrants an upgrade. Love the fact you don't over complicate your reviews keep it up 😍👍

I have seen a couple of the demos and the bottom of the club is getting really scratched up after use. That black carbon isn't hiding scratches well.
Hi BeTheBall, you may be right! Although I think the carbon marking up over time will still look better than the chrome marking up on the old SIM.
Always love your reviews Soph! We have similar speed and launch conditions so your responses are particularly relevant to my game.

There's something very aesthetically pleasing about this year's Taylormade drivers - and I'm a self confessed Ping fanboy.
Agreed! I certainly think it looks better than last years model. I love how the new PING G425 driver looks too. It's hard to call it to be honest.
Great review. Got one ordered but hand to delight it to 7 degrees
You did a great job. Thanks for posting.
I still game my old cobra fly-z driver, thinking of trying the sim2 max D next, spice things up a bit!
I got the sim2 max, best driver I've ever had

Is not the injection to make it slower ? Back to rule standards on drivers ? I use a F Max and keep a M2 in the cupboard.
what's the chance's of callaway b21 against taylormade sim2 d driver test
Can you tell us what flex shaft you were using, regular or stiff?
Stiff 55g
I have the max D and still Slice like a mad man
Great review! Your swing makes me so jealous! You tried the Autoflex shaft yet?
Thanks Brandon. If you like what you see, please subscribe to our channel to see more. I haven't tried the Autoflex shaft no, should I?

every year TaylorMade find 3 more things to change that they didn't think about last year. How amazing

So keeping the adjustable weight you can have all in one club... but the rather make three different driver's..

Sophie I find the Taylormade drivers very fade biased and they look very busy from the top of the head. Is the sim max more draw biased would you say

Like last years colors much better!
Just bought a Sims 2 Max LOL!
