Citistar Awesome! This tent has done very well in the wind for me so far. And it has been in a lot of rain without condensation issues. I leave the end vents and top vents open and no rain gets inside. I wish you the best on the PCT! Let me know if you have a blog to follow. I’m in the Portland area and see a lot of thru-hikers on my backpacking trips.
@@LisaDHolmes I'm in the same process as Citistar - preparing for a PCT thru hike (and hopefully many others). Glad to know this does well with wind and condensation. Question: have you ever used it free standing, with the optional additional pole?
Yes, it can be set up fly first. The poles and stakes are attached via the fly. The inner clips inside it. I have both the mesh inner and a partial solid inner, and I switch them when I have the fly setup.
Really helpful video to watch! I'm considering the Moment for my PCT hike next year and I was wondering how do you feel it holds up in high winds?

Can this tent be set up with just the fly first, then clipping in the inner afterwords if needed?

Noooo! Stake the windward (upwind) end out first.
