Brian's drumming flows like water --- he is so fluid and unique. No one plays like him. Great find and recording!
First time i heard this John Peel Lizzy sessions. Brilliant as usual!!😅❤
12:04 is one of the greatest tunes ever written by one of the best bands of all time. Joyous :)
"Great Phil Lynott, Great Gary Moore and Great Thin Lizzy"
These must be some of the best recordings of lizzy
It's Only Money, wow that has never sounded grittier and Still In Love sounding like some golden rock soul band that no one has ever heard before.
John Peel discovered more bands with the X-factor in one week that Cowell has found in the best part of 20 years.
Simon Cowell and his circus of shit dont know the half of the rock n roll struggle. Respect to all Rockin rollers 🤘
And better bands of course
you probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost my account password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Travis Xzavier instablaster =)
Can't have John Peel and that clown ball in the same sentence.
Never heard this version before, classic!
What a session
Great trio. Gary's on here. Magic. 👌
4.) @ 12:04 is a great version of this song 'Sitamoia' I once had the pleasure of telling Brian Downey in 1996 backstage after they played a 1st night show (of 2 nights) at the 'Edge' in Palo Alto,Ca that this song is one of mine all time favorite songs by TL.. he was surprised by my answer after he asked me what song was my favorite.. That was Priceless to me. Awesome dream come true to meet the Lads that night. Wish Phil could have been there also. that would of be the Best ever dream come true. R.I.P Phil and Gary.
Such a great early version of “Still In Love With You” (which was originally titled “Call On Me”). Superb guitar from Gary Moore and lead vocals from him and Phil Lynott. Brian Downey was the perfect drummer for Lizzy. John Peel was a one-off too ...
Oh my, I have never heard these before......Phil and Gary's voices on 'Still in Love with You' are simply amazing!! Thank you for sharing.
I miss Phil so much still after all these years he's been gone. there was and still is no one quite like him.

Visited phil lynott statue Legend and grave in Dublin.

Gary will be playing Peter Greens Les Paul on here.
Had a great party with these fellas in Bristol in the 70's. Just about recovered in 2024😂
Brilliant. End of. Thanks for posting.
Was lucky to see them 1978 open for Kansas
I am still in love with you Phil, Brian and Gary!
Pure Genius...
There's always some lizzy you've never heard before, hope so anyway, thin!
Peel’s a beast!! I’m amazed how his shows sound better than some of the featured groups albums!!
TREW DAT
Because "featured albums" get PRODUCED, Peel only RECORDS.
It is well known that Peel Sessions are often better than the group's recordings.
@@mikebryan7060 you bring so much redundancy to my life.
@@thePsykomanteum dunno what you are meaning but , hey have a great day.
great stuff-what a voice phil lynott had!
long live Thin Lizzy..😆😆

This Sounds So Perfect So Beautiful So Amazing!! Thanks For The Upload... 🤘🏿🤘🏿
Insane.
Beyond any comprehension is this emerald gem.
This is just fucking amazing, thank you! X
+Jasmine Bird Yes greatest band, what would have happened if....
If He hadn't passed away..well, it's obvious :)
Thanks for the posting of this awesomeness! The vocals in Still In Love With You are brilliant and it's always a bonus when you get alternate lyrics!
dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Thanks for this my childhood memories
Happy Birthday Phil
Are the leads from this session done by Mr Moore ?? and the album damn I thought Robo and Scotty wrote those leads I knew Phil and Gary wrote the song WOW
Phil just smouldered right out of the gate. (Sex on legs!!!). A great Irish musical genius, and the sole progenitor of that nation's rock and pop legacy. It was John Peel who told him to come to London (and helped) - absolutely no possibility of a career in retrogressive Ireland back then...
still in love with you is different.nice
Got to see the what some call classic line up with Robo and Scott Gotham. I’d have loved to have seen them with Moore. But am grateful to had seen that at all. Saw the Snowy tour. And then. Well it was Syke singing. And the remaining members. It was ok. A nice tribute. The 1 Gary out together with all the members he could include. Snowy and Sykes weren’t there? But to me that was proper and best way to say goodbye. I don’t think people should call themselves LIZZY ever again. It’s not even close. Some have to rely on others to try and make money. Sad
Excellent. Thanks for this.
♥♥
My favorite version of Still in Love With You (close second is off the Live & Danergous album).
Lizzy are tops, but also great listening to Peely here too.
Thanks!
Still in love with Thin Lizzy ... I can see why Phil needed two guitarists after Gary Moore
+whitemountain apache - ? 6 Guitarists after Brian Robertson, figures. Brian Robertson needed a Guitarist after he left so I included him.
Dave the Fret he called to Midge the Ure he said hey man, I know your name, I've seen you playing with Ultravox down on 1st Street & Main tuned into and listenin to Thin Lizzy, they've got two Guitarists, a Bass player and a Drummer, sends you right out to heaven. Snowy the White was taken aback Johnny the Sykes you old sly cat cleverly Eric the Bells conceals his stash crisp dollar riffs leave no tracks in the back of a dressing room, Music travels where only Phil Lynott can go, the shady deal unravels hot to hustle Scott Gorham won't use no muscle that cat's so sly slick and subtle, Robbo breaks out the bottle. Tune into and listening to Thin Lizzy music travels, the beating drum and lyrics for the lonely ones .... Sends you right out to heaven.
Not at the same time silly.
i lovedthe hendrix sound of eric bell
@@bluedivide1 I see what you did there
Though never a big fan of em, Thin Lizzy steps up a notch for Peel ...

Saw them on their last tour. They'd gone a bit HM by then but were still a great band. I like the Snowy White albums but Lizzy always put out good music. Shame.......
I still aint found anything thinner
