Does the Unit have to be running to re-charge?

I admire the guy trying to help the others, I'm sure he was getting paid but there was no way his students were comprehending what he was talking about. If you have to explain that the blue hose goes on the big pipe and red hose on the little pipe then they shouldn't even be touching a reefer. They need to go back to refrigeration basics and understand where to connect and what each component is in the circuit. They are too green for this machine. Funny to watch though.

All you need is recharge, make sure to push release air output to clear out air vacuum on the gauges. Which locate in the middle of the gauge between blue and red. Put like 2 pounds of freon. You 👍 good. 😂. Other than thats you have leak somewhere. Also for safety wear PPE. Grove and safety glasses..

The guy said blue to low pressure and red to high pressure, and connect to where the bubbles are when you need to vacuum the system. The guy know his job just can't explain it right and people who don't know how to work in reefers unit such as thermoking or carrier will have an even harder time understanding anything. The Freon R404a for these units can be loaded both gas or liquid, just load it slow and with an scale. it's always better to vacuum the system and load the right amount of Freon to get a more efficient operation.

@@jonathanmembreno1325 not really. It's easy though. Thermo king has instructions in the operators manual. Basically get the box to around 0⁰f and add refrigerant until the ball in the sight glass is a bit over half way.

It's is programmed like that if it weren't your load would most likely freeze on top or in the front depending if you have a produce shoot installed or not, You can set it different if you have to have it maintain 33 only, But it will stop and start alot unless you're running it on Continuous, Then it probably will.

Its not out of this world. I've notice that reefer work is very hidden from anyone. Why,don't know. But its very easy once you get hands on. It was limited to me at thermo king, but I've learned lots by myself. I have seen the worry of a driver owner operator and the smile after saving his load of frozen pizzas. I do road side with a partner of mine. I might be able to answer some questions to anyone and no I will not charge you.

    U can use 2 way gauge .
2nd. If u want to take hi side prussure is better use compressor liquid service valve instead reciver.
3rd. Who told u high side prussure most be about 300 to 350 psi ???
And 400 psi could be sighn of problem.
In last if u look at the refrigerant label on front u . can see this unit most be charge by R404a gas.
This gas isn't freon. R404A is a HFC blend,
