Thank you so much for the recipe! I’ve been doing it all wrong-trying various recipes, and it was never very good. Your recipe was perfect! Easy, delicious, uses only the main ingredients. Love it.
Can’t afford Chipotle in CA anymore, AND they cut the amount of food you get so this comes in handy!! Just made your fresh tomato salsa and it’s perfect!! 👍
Can you PLEASE make different videos and show us how to make the chipotle steak and possible hot salsa (and all the other chipotle ingredients lol) if you know it?! I f-ing love chipotle lol thanks for this video! New follower 😊😊😊
I feel you man ive been a chef for 13 years now, misery is an understatement lol. Can i ask how much rice is for this recipe and what type of rice is it ? Thanks
The cilantro lime rice at Chipotle seems to use standard white rice from a Chinese or Korean market. Just avoid different specialty white rices like jasmine, basmati etc if you want chipotle style since those rices already have a unique flavor and aroma
*Before they got more "commercial" and let McDonald's put their hands in their pockets, the rice was perfect... Now, the rice be half done and taste more like rice with hints of lemon than cilantro lime rice* 🤷🏾♀️
The only thing I forgot, was that you citrus juice, not lime juice it’s a mixture of lemon and lime, and he also forgot to add oil to the rice. They put one cup of oil for the entire large pot that they make. I dated like five or six chicks that used to work there. They literally gave me the recipe cards 😂
At our location we never used oil this was also 10 years ago and we had brand new equipment. No oil is necessary. Also it was lime juice when I was there...chipotle has changed alot over the years and there quality has gone down. Make this version its much better. No need to add unnecessary oils. Also congrats chipotle chick's are easy. I'm glad that's where you got your recipes.
Everyone knows that..but when you make alot and your cilantro is wet and you introduce it to the hot steam3d rice it will wilt and turn brown no matter how fresh it is...I spent years making giant batches of this stuff.
Nah, my Chipotle was run by a complete dumbass. It's just Cilantro Lime Rice anyway they don't have a corporate hold on it..they didn't create it after all.
Any store bought Xtra large burrito tortilla works. Chipotle does not make tortilla in house and use pre packaged Tortillas...if you wanna get fancy I recommend a brand called "tortilla land" they are raw and usually found in the fridge section of the grocery store, they feel and taste homemade.
Cum... its cum thats chipotles s3cret ingredient...lol it's the melted cheese and salsa my G you never had a burrito with Guacamole, cheese and salsa. Hating ass
I was there for 9 full years and i honestly can say speaking for myself It wasn’t miserable for me I got to go to conventions and paid trips and worked along side amazing managers 😅❤😅 just my experience
You were one of them that's why. Chipotle corporate was the worst, especially if your manager was trying to go "restaurantuer" or whatever that BS was called...hopefully you weren't making your employees miserable.
I was miserable there for 2 months 😅😂😂
At least he learned recipes lol😅
lazy
HOW CAN UHATE SOME PLACE THAT MAKES WONDERFUL FOOD I CAN’T NO MATTER THE MANEGER OR CUSTUMERS I WILL NEVER HATE CHIPOTLE ❤️😄
I loved working at chipotle. Greatest job I ever had
I currently work there and while I’m more tired than I’ve ever been, I can also say it’s one of my favorite jobs I’ve had!
That burrito at the end looks bomb 👍
I trust you because you paired it with a pineapple jarrito 🤗
I see you are a fellow person of culture, class and the finer things in life. Lol
I am a Snackasaurus Rex. Hear me out. Pineapple Jarrito and Cheez Its.
I was miserable working at chipotle for a little over half a year
U got paid to eat chip all day for $50 an hour. Ez money

When he said "I was miserable there for 4 years". 😢 I feel your pain 💔 I truly do. But on the flip side your FREE AT LAST!
That looks delicious I’m definitely making tonight thank you for the video
Your Family & Friends Are Super Lucky To Have You 😁
Thank You🥰
My man made a homemade chipotle fr
This is something I can make at home honestly
Always good to see Jarritos!
I like to add the lime zest to mine while it's boiling. Gives more flavor
Thanks for this!
Perfect 👍 ✅💚💚💚💚
I'm hungry now. Nice job brother, looks delicious

There’s another account on here that does it!
Yes I love the steak!🤤😋
@@diabloakland thanks for the hint but what's their name?
Delicioso!!!! 🤤 Sorry about you feeling miserable there, hopefully, you're in a better place now.🤗
I WAS WONDERING HOW YOU DO THIS
Now how to make those giant pliable tortillas

What kind of rice would be best?
It’s so yummy , I use brown rice .
Dude is set for life
😂😂😂 yall kill me
Somehow that generic online recipe shtick where they give their entire life story instead of the recipe made its way to RUclips shorts
Man shut yo hating ass up...just mentioned I used to work there so people know it's straight from the source...hater..
Thank you for making this video. I love Chipotle’s Cilantro rice bowls.
Chipotle puts lemon juice in the rice...how do I know? I work for one! 😂 The lime goes to the chips!
someone said it's one lime and one lemon. So they only add lemon to the cilantro lime rice?
@@Clean-N-ShineInDfw it's lemon juice for the rice. The lime is squeezed for the chips.
@@tiffanykahn2535 thanks for sharing
I had no idea that they made their chips too. Well that explains the lime taste 😂
Can u make both bean recipes please?
I’ll be making this soon with some tacos
What is the cook time and amounts of water per cup?
Also what type of rice?
what cheese does chipotle use?
so 1 cup of rice to two cups of water? this looks amazing!!❤
Yes correct! Us that 2:1 ratio and you will always make great rice!
@@Whatscookingathome awesome thank you so much!!
Unless you use a different rice like jasmine. 1.5 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. Just check the package instructions on the rice you use.
Hell yeah!!
where is the tortilla from
Oh hell ya. you da man.
How did you make the tortilla or where did you buy it??? Anyone know??
I got it at a local mexican grocery store called Vallarta. I live in California so it's pretty easy to find.
Where did you get those burritos?
How long did you cook the rice for
Or do it like me and serve it with salmon
You, my sir, are a genius!
@@Whatscookingathome haha thank you 🫡
doing that today :)
What kind of rice do you use
Bro truly never left chipotle 😮
*Before they got more "commercial" and let McDonald's put their hands in their pockets, the rice was perfect... Now, the rice be half done and taste more like rice with hints of lemon than cilantro lime rice* 🤷🏾♀️
Completely agree, chipotles quality has severely gone down.
@@Whatscookingathome
Right...
Do you buy those jumbo tortillas somewhere? Looks a size larger than what most "burrito" or "xl" store tortillas are, and thin too
I buy them at a Mexican supermarket in California called VALLARTA supermarket..but basically any Mexican breadstore or market sells them.
Not going to lie, Chipotle was one of the worst jobs I’ve ever had.
Why was that?
How do I make the burrito sticky like that?
How much rice did he use?
The only thing I forgot, was that you citrus juice, not lime juice it’s a mixture of lemon and lime, and he also forgot to add oil to the rice. @@Whatscookingathome ya they definitely are it was also right near a university ,so.. 🔥👀😜lol. This was back in 2008-09
@@Whatscookingathome why would you call them easy…?
@@diabloakland cause they got no money that’s why they working minimum wage at chipotle. All u need is some bands and it’s that easy
😂😂😂
I’m sorry to hear you’re from california I hope you get better soon
Isn’t there supposed to be a bay leaf in there while cooking?
Yes there is! Bayleaf is for aromatics and does add a nice flavor and scent. That particular day I just didn't have any on hand.
The pineapple soda sets it off!
You already know what's good!
This is from Jamaica BTW. It's not originally a burrito filling.
It's typically served with jerk chicken and boiled bananas.
What abt oil?
They rice look crazy 😂😂
i contemplated suicide while working at chipotle… thankfully i was fired one stormy night
Glad we got out of there dog...good to see us living!
Can you come to my house and make this bro?
wait where did u get that tortilla from?
Mexican grocery store.
Insider tip, brown cilantro equals old cilantro not wet cilantro. As for the rest, thanks for the tip homie! 👍
Everyone knows that..but when you make alot and your cilantro is wet and you introduce it to the hot steam3d rice it will wilt and turn brown no matter how fresh it is...I spent years making giant batches of this stuff.

Don’t they also use bay leaves…?
Yes they do!

Yes and rice bran oil takes it to another level!
Chipotle has nothing on Qdoba.
No butter in the rice ? I guess I’m surprised!
Chipotle is really depressing to work at
Their rice is always hard at the Chipotles near me. So nasty
Nah I know there’s something missing
Hope you in a better job where you like it better man.
ive seen em add fuck tons of oil to this rice i swear
Wow go figure. Just add cilantro and lime to white rice 😂 Chipotle has terrible rice.
Chipotle haves no flavor .
