xXSonTjXx okay I gotta make an actual argument for why Sang is better than all the other avatars including Korra. main part being he had time to train from the preceding avatars wisdom because he didn't screw up and sever the connection and he had more time to learn from them u like Korra who lost the connection right as she was learning how to use it. Each avatar is more powerful than the last as they just add onto the power of the previous after being able to learn from their wisdom til you lose that archive FOREVER. COUGH. Korra. COUGH. but at the very least Korra is one of the top 10 avatars most likely

second, if u think the creator thinks korra is the strongest avatar because she was put last, then your wrong about that too. the creator put the avatars in order, from first to last, not by strength.
third, this is only my opinion, but i dont think the better avatar is the stronger one, i rank avatars by there achievements, not there strength. for all we know, kyoshi could be the strongest avatar, we have never seen kyoshi in her full prime now have we? but u wouldnt rank kyoshi above aang now would you? if u would then sorry, but if you wouldnt then u see where im getting at? most people like aang more than kyoshi, cuz kyoshi killed someone to get her way, while aang ended a war and created republic city. he did more things to change the world then kyoshidid

Personally I think Aang is the most powerful. The monacres he received made him out to be the "most powerful Avatar of all time". He was a master of all four elements like his predecessors but he was also very spiritually connected and achieved more than most of the avatars before him ever did in a matter of a few years. Korra may have been close but her Avatar State could never match Aang's. Just my opinion though.
Also it's kinda cool that when I look back, some of the main villains were actually quite weak funny. Nice list :)
Korra is considered stronger than aang in avatar state. Because it allows you to access 💯% of the abilitys that the pervious avatars had, it may not show properly in animations but it is true.
Not to mention that Aang did learn how to redirect lightning, something that none of the other avatars could do, since it wasn't really invented, but Korra also never learned to redirect it. Plus Korra could only go into the avatar state after Aang gave it to her basically lol

I still think with this list firelord azulon should be on the list. Ozai said azula was named after him because they were both firebending talents.

I'd give Kuvira, Toph and Azula better spots.
Kuvira won against Korra in the Avatar State (I know she was still messed up for reasons that Korra is a spoiled little brat, but still), and she was portraied as stronger than even the Beifong sisters together.
Toph doesn't need introductions.
Azula was simply unbeatable, she lost to herself in the final match against Zuko. In her prime, she would beat anyone apart from an Avatar, I think. And let's not forget, when Zuko, Iroh, Katara, Toph, Sokka and Aang cornered her and all shot their bendings at her (and Sokka with his boomerang), everything exploded and that bitch still survived.

Well, a good list, but I don't think that Jet is stronger than Suki or Sokka... all of them are nonbenders and Suki und Sokka are really motherfuckers in the end of the show. I mean, Sokka is a swordmaster and Jet is a kid which live high up the trees.. but cool Video! :)
And Suki is the leader of the elite Kyoshi Warriors. I believe she would be able to even best Sokka if it was an all-out one-on-one fight.

I don't mean any hate but I think that Aang is slightly better than Korra because:
1.Aang is just a child when the events of The Last Airbender took place
2.He didn't really have actual teachers so he could learn to master the four elements
3.Even tho he couldn't enter the avatar state easily, when he did he was unstoppable
4.We never got to see Aang growing up, who knows maybe when he was at Korra's age he could blood bend without full moon hundreds of men (supposedly)

In Korra Yakone was blood bending Aang. Since he was unable to resist it we can assume that even if he could blood bend, it wasnt at the level of Yakone.

True. She completely mastered airbending along with very advanced techniques (spirit projection) when she was 12. She's one of the most, if not the most spiritually connected character in the series.

I think Azula is best than Zuko, she only loose that agni Kai because she was crazy and because Katara helped Zuko
If you remember correctly, zuko was actually winning the fight, and did beat her, he was besting her and she attacked Katara because she was getting outclassed. We can say that Azula would win if she was in a better mental state and if she was calm and under control like she normally was, and say that she could have outsmarted Zuko, but we will never know. But one thing is clear when it came to pure fighting she was getting outclassed by Zukos dancing dragon firebending.

@MrChiefB56 Katara broke Agni Kai entering the tournament so Azula did it better. In all previous battles between her and Zuko, she always dominated and showed better technique.

+I. Th. She fought Mal, Ty Lee, azula, the FIREBENDING prison guards in the FN prison etc.pp.. And she won most of the time. She is an experienced Warrior, while Asami is on a streetfighter level. Besides, Asami has to touch Suki for her Electroglove to work. Suki is very agile and her fighting style demands she predict the enemy's Next Move and use it against him. She is at an advantage.
+I. Th. Suki is the leader of an Elite group of Warriors, trained since early childhood to defend their home against enemies. She grew up in a time of war and fought actual warriors, as in people who regularly *kill*, while Asami never really got the fighting experience Suki had (It's a fact that soldiers who actively fought in a war have better reflexes, are more aware of their surroundings etc.etc. No amount of training can Simulate a life-or-death Situation).
And the "mediocre" guards surely were better fighters than most of the benders alive during Asami's time (same reason I mentioned above). Don't forget Suki also fought people like Azula and Ty Lee, who are definetly not "average".
To effectively counter an enemy attack you've got to predict what he'll do.
I do think Asami is interesting because she's a nonbender amongst benders, but Suki is superior in almost every way. She has a fighting mentality (meaning she is used to Death all around her, which Asami, as a more or less sheltered girl is *not*), she is battle hardened (Asami was not involved in as many Battles as Suki, neither did she fight against people born and raised at war) and she easily Beats Asami in agility (Suki *ran up a friggin wall*, easily incapacitated two firebenders and took the warden prisoner, impressing even Sokka's battle hardened father Hakoda).
+I. Th. Yeah, the equalists were good no doubt, but I'm certain experienced soldiers shooting fire are a greater danger for a nonbender than Chi-Blockers.
Asami fighting red lotus = suki fighting Azula and Co.
Okay, once more: Asami and correspondingly almost everyone living in her time were born and raised in a time of peace. Suki and her generation lived during a war which had already raged for 100 years, their Instincts and reflexes were honed from the moment they were able to walk. The Fire Nation soldiers grew up in a militaristic dictatorship/monarchy, fighting for the Firelord's cause was a matter of honor. Thus every FN citizen trained their children to eventually fight for their nation, even if the kids took on other jobs later on. --> more skilled than people growing up during peaceful times, as fighting abilities weren't needed anymore.
Firebenders were able to create much more powerful bursts of flames during Aang's time than in korra's time. Come on, those puny Flames are not superior to a FN soldier during the 100-year-war.
+I. Th. And after aang arrived in kyoshi island Suki and the other kyoshi warriors travelled arround the Earth Kingdom, fighting for freedom and certainly crossing blades with enough enemy soldiers for Suki to be considered 'experienced'.

I said she was used to Death all around her, as in people dying all around her (though we don't know if she really killed no one during the time she was off-screen. It's entirely possible, as she was fighting against enemies showing no mercy).

I wouldn’t really count bloodbenders as “the most powerful”. They would certainly win in a fight (well, unless you’re a superior bloodbender or your in the Avatar State), but they don’t have the same destructive capacity. It’s more like negating the power of others, instead of you being the most powerful. Then again, that would basically have to exclude all non-benders, so never mind that.
Besides that, I’d move Jinora, Opal and Kai up, certainly above Jet. I’d also put Lin and Su above Tonraq, as Su was able to keep up with Kuvira briefly, and almost seemed evenly matched, before Kuvira got the upperhand. Lin was equal to Su, she lost because her chi was unbalanced.
Zuko should be below Azula, he only appeared superior because Azula was mentally unstable. Iroh and Zuko knew Zuko couldn’t beat Azula on his own, that’s why he brought Katara. Azula wasn’t stupid enough to use lightning on Zuko, even after she went insane. Zuko should be in between Toph and Katara, maybe even above or below either. Azula learned to redirect lightning too, in the comic “The Rift”. I believe the comics are canon too, the writers of the show have some influence.
I really doubt that Tenzin and Zaheer are above King Bumi (who was tossing buildings around during the Eclipse), Toph (who was matching him in the comics, and held up Wan Shi Tong’s library), Azula (all around impressive, fought with Aang fairly evenly when he knew three elements, plus lightning), Zuko (a bit below Azula) and Katara (who fought against Azula in the coup of Ba Sing Se, and nearly won, if it weren’t for Zuko, though Azula could’ve also won without Aang).
Speaking of which, for the reasons above, Katara should be moved up.
Other than that, I agree for the most part, with some changes in the lower spectrum that aren’t really backed up with too much evidence.
Jeong Jeong and Pakku should be moved up, Pakku was able to block Sozin’s comet enhanced firebenders blasts, and was especially impressive during his battle against Katara, showing great versatility. Jeong Jeong created a massive wall of fire, even without the comet.
Honourable mentions - Monk Gyatso - he beat dozens of fire nation soldiers where his body was, when they were empowered by Sozin’s comet
- Firelord Azulon - notes to be a firebending prodigy, a title only he and Azula were given, and Azula even calls him “powerful” (when he was in his prime).
Also, the Boulder, The Hippo, etc should be here, certainly above Sokka, and probably a few more things I’m forgetting.
The LOK rankings are spot on, though.
Overall, a great list, with my comment making it look like there’s more to change than there really is. One of the best, actually.
TheBatmeme368 power and destructive force aren’t necessarily one in the same. Power is control over energy so no matter how you use it, blood bending or lightning, which every gives you the higher advantage is more powerful.
Energybending is the only form of bending superior to bloodbending in my opinion, when you put humans versus each other.

Every single time where Zuko and Azula have faced off and were even in power, Azula has won. At the moment of the final Agni-kay Zuko still didnt surpass azula in terms of technique and firebending based on what we have seen from her when she was introduced. Zuko even said it himself that he can not stand up against azula but when he met his sister he noticed that she was letting of and that he could beat her in that state.
Azula is precise with flawless bending skills but on the agni-kay she was attacking wildly attacking with large burst of flame. It was only the madness that consumed her that Zuko was able to win and only on this one spezific day.

yes azula was unhinged, but really she essentially lost to zuko in that fight - she was taking hits and exhausted while zuko was still fresh as a daisy, so she got desperate and cheated. zuko sacrificed himself to save katarra, but azula's lightning still wasn't enough to kill him. zuko was injured, but fine, as opposed to when aang was struck. aang was dead, and needed katarra's spirit water to bring him back to life.

Katara is truely underrestimated. She became a master after training some days. Also, she can heal, plantbend and bloodbend. She defeated Zuko and Azula (even during Sozin's comet), who basicly trained their whole lifes. And if you say she only defeated Azula because of her low sanity: she would have defeated her in the Crossroads of destiny if Zuko wouldn't have rescued her.

I think Korra is stronger at the end of her show than ange was at the end of his. Ang never truly mastered all the elements without the avatar state, we know this because Zuko and tops both said that he needed to work in their elements. korra truly masted all the elements. Korra also faced many strong enemy’s in season 1 without her avatar state. Korra also had the ability to enter the avatar state at will while Aang can only enter it when his life is in danger.

Since Amon (a waterbender) is ranked before air, air is before fire and fire is before Earth... I believe the order is:
1) Water
2) Air
3) Fire
4) Earth
Note that was only with blood bending counted. Otherwise I think water got the lowest rank since Katara at 20 was the highest ranked not being a limitless blood bender.

I wouldn't say Zhao was a firebending master. In "The Deserter", Zhao had the patience and the recklessness of a 10 year old. In my opinion, the only firebending masters were Ozai, Iroh, Jeong Jeong, Azula (during Smoke and Shadow) and Zuko (after Dancing Dragons). I wouldn't say any of the characters in LOK were firebending masters (since P'li can only do combustion bending, she doesn't count and Mako isn't good enough).
Edit: Whoops haha forgot about General Iroh. He should be in the series more often.
Ozai was literally said to be the greatest firebender ever by the creators so placing Iroh over him was a mistake. Also Toph was ranked low, she isnt probably top 5 but still. And the avatars are it all equal, we dont know enough about most of them but of the 3 we do know about Wan was significantly the weakest, and Aang was the strongest in his avatar state. This is due to aang having the most past lives to influence his bending since Korra lost them. Wan did not have any time tested abilities to use seeing as that he was one of the people laying the foundations of bending, which means his bending was very primitive in comparison with the more modern bending.
Also Bolin and Mako were rankled stupid high (honestly name a time they showed actual mastery of their bending), and Azula also very low (she was always shown to be far stronger than Zuko until her mental breakdown). You also underrate lightning generation and overrate lightning redirection, since redirection is only usefull against those who can use lightning while lightning is usefull against everyone who cannot redirect it.

Meelo is probably the most underrated character in the show. When you actually pay attention to his abilities, in his prime, he'll probably one of the best, if not the best, airbender during his time.
