    My heart sank watching that approach at the end 😝. Love the caravan.

    That shuttle approach is insane. I see why your man wanted more training...

      It takes skill and practice, but it's the best and fastest method for this runway. Plus it's a ton of fun!

    Looks like you had perfect weather. Never know what you're going to get in WI spring.

    Thanks for posting this Kerry! I’m a brand new jump pilot out at 7 Hills Skydiving in Marshall WI! The tips you gave will definitely help me out a lot. If you’re ever in the area stop by WI97 and say hi, or maybe come jump with me sometime! Rock on man and keep making amazing videos!!🤘

      I've been meaning to visit 7 hills for years. It sounds like a good old fashioned club DZ like the St. Croix Valley Skydiving club where I started back in 1986.

    Kerry, why not spin the 'Van' down for a rapid descent or would that shock cool the hot end of the engine too much-?

    • @KerryDMcCauley
      @KerryDMcCauley  9 месяцев назад +1

      We stopped spinning jump planes 25 years ago. It's just not efficient, even with piston aircraft. Turbines don't have any risk of shock cooling so we descend as whatever airspeed is the limit for that plane.

    • @andrewagner2035
      @andrewagner2035 9 месяцев назад +1

      And these planes are not rated for spins anyway.

      @@andrewagner2035 I was not aware of that for the 208.

    It's like a clown car, how do you fit so many jumpers in that plane? Haha Cool video 😊

    I noticed you popped your side window on decent. Does that help with the wind buffeting? My A20s can get pretty uncomfortable after a couple drops due to the excessive wind buffet cut out during open door operations..

      Yes, popping the window open helps a lot!
