Growing up in farm country, so few people were ever willing to help wildlife. I think that is why this video has me crying. You guys were so caring and gentle with the little fella, I just feel so proud of you all. Thank you for helping him. You’re good people 🙏 Knowing how smart they are, I bet him and his Missus are eternally grateful for your kindness. I wouldn’t be shocked if you see him around 🌸💜🌺♥️
I'm glad some can saved. I recently saw a bard owl on the side of the road..she had been hit by a car. She was still alive though, and I had a little crate in my car I used for my kitty.. so managed to get her into it. It was amazing, because I'm pretty sure she knew that I was trying to help her because she made no effort to fight me/when I gave her little pets to comfort her, she even seemed to like it.. We drove an hour away to the emergency vet, and I dropped her off. I gave my contact information so they could keep me updated. Sadly, I got a call 3 days later to tell me that she didn't make it. I don't know why exactly, but it hit me wayyy harder than I thought it would.. so it makes me really happy seeing this.
The whole "they can tell we're helping them" thing is us anthropomorphizing wild animals. Wild animals don't want or understanding petting - they're hurt, vulnerable, and now some giant thing is touching them. It's stressful to them. They stay still because they're exhausted, and also scared. If an owl -or any bird- allows you to approach and pick it up without some avoidance, it has a serious head injury or is in a lot of pain/exhaustion/hungry.
@@Danielle-jw9gy You should see the reaction of a captured healthy wild African Grey. It was crazy, fierce and screaming. When these wild birds of prey are in shock or injured, they seem different. I saw a injured wild hawk once, at a park, and he was like begging for help. He seemed like a pet. I don't know if he was shot with a pellet gun or a fledgling. He just wanted help.
He's so beautiful. I love owls so much. They are so wise, majestic and just incredible creatures. This little guy was so calm and well behaved; he barely made a fuss. I'm hoping he will have a long and healthy life with his mate!
Ten years ago, I saw a falconry exhibition in Scotland. We got to the location early enough to get the best bench- middle column, second row back. The first bench in front of us, directly in front of the birds’ stand, was left empty. The first bird the falconer showed us was the eagle owl. After he finished showing her off, he placed her on that empty bench, so she was just a few feet away from me. I could barely looked away from her the rest of the show, I was so fascinated by her. We had a staring contest at one point-she won, because I didn’t know if she would get angry if I looked her in the eyes too long.
Thank you for rescuing and taking care of and making sure he/she was all good to be released back to where she/he came from, to be back with his/her mate; and what a beautiful divine creature! Yes; thank you for posting and for a positive story too! 🙏💚🕊️🕉️
I am so happy these people called the rescue group and they were able to save this owl. I think I would be too afraid of being bitten to try it myself. I am sure the owl and his mate were happy to be reunited. He really was very calm, wasn't he? Thanks so much to the people who rescued him and to the rescue organization
Ummm didn’t seem too calm to me! He was fighting him as he was trying to get him out, then bit him a couple times afterwards. Also, what was the need to put him in a cage?? The guy himself said he was fine. He should have been released right then and there. There was no need to put him into a cage like that and kept away from the wild for who knows how long, truly!
Great story! I’m glad that the owl wasn’t injured. You all did a great job to rescue. What an unusual place for the owl to be trapped? I’m glad he was free and able to fly away. He is a gorgeous bird!
Thankyou for saving him or her, wonderful story. You sure are right, with all the negative things an uplifting story daily helps. Beautiful 🦉..if we all tried like this the world could be a tad better..thx for sharing. And dodo is just the best..
It is so special and heartwarming to see good people helping wildlife out of the "problems" our society sometimes causes them. Thanks to the good folks who found the owl in their car grill, for calling dedicated wildlife experts like Mike! Awesome!
Bloody brilliant thank you for rescuing him or her I’m so pleased that he has gone back or she has gone back to mother nature where he belongs I hope he finds his beloved this put a big fat smile on my face as it’s Mother’s Day today my mother passed away 20 years ago and I miss her but I have to say it just to make me happy thank you

Since dogs have been living with humans for a long time, they are said to be able to read our emotions. Many dog owners may have some idea of what they are feeling, such as going to the side of someone who is sad and comforting them with a lick, or wagging their tails vigorously when they are happy. Dogs have excellent senses and cognitive abilities, and can distinguish the slightest sounds of breathing, heartbeats, and tone of voice, and respond to human emotions
Owls are such majestic beautiful birds holy crap. I've always wanted one as a pet, but would never take one out of where it belongs for my own pleasure. Cheers to these people for these beautiful videos. I hope the owl is doing his best with his mate.
In many years of bird watching, I've not yet been blessed to see a beautiful Owl in its natural habitat. What a glorious moment that would be! I remain hopeful to experience it one day soon. God bless this rescuer & the people who contacted him for saving the life of this magnificent Owl.💕🙏💕
I helped to save a baby owl from someone who bought her illegally in the Amazon. I was terrified of birds but she was the one who actually helped me get over my fear of birds. I got her to a bird rehabilitator ( just by dumb luck my new friend was one). I got a picture taken with her to remind me to be brave like her. Thank you kind souls for helping our animal friends ❤
Thank you all so very much for not sentencing him to death by refusing to acknowledge that he was in the front of your car and then doing the right thing. Applause all the way around. Owls are so special.
I hope he found his mate back. These people were amazing helping him with expertise
Owls are beautiful in their own special way. I love them. Many blessings to the man and woman who save such a beautiful creature.❤️❤️❤️

Owls are beautiful and very fascinating animals but they're actually pretty dumb as far as birds go apparently lol.

Look at how he scratched that guy's hands...geez
Barred owls are beautiful. Happy he was able to get released back to where he belongs and finds his wife again.

Not really! Scratched the heck out of the guy and bit him a couple times even, but ok!
