- Amazing! Here I have EVERYTHING you need to know about the NEW Forge which came with the 1.5 Update for Stardew Valley. There are so many new things we can do with it, including combining rings, ENCHANTING tools, and weapons, forging for better stats plus ENCHANTING, and making some very overpowered weapons.

Honestly the mushroom tree seed is my top add, it's such a bummer going into winter having not gotten a giant mushroom
I just started playing two weeks ago. I had two mushroom trees in my first year and I did not know about them being rare. I chopped them down. Have not seen one since.
I have a whole forest of mushrooms now 😅

Honestly I was already playing with one of my main saves and it merged flawlessly. Has been so fun figuring it out. I just jumped right in with the new content and continued with the old. It definitely works both ways. I'm perplexed on the new road bump at the train station and the supposed "new fishing tv program" that I can not seem to find for the life of me but I'm not sure you're missing anything by not starting a new playthrough? Most of it seems end game anyway. We'll see I guess, be well farmers and happy holidays.
On the beach map don't forge the painting at the end of the secret tunnel to the fishing spot

to bad we can't have multiple tools like minecraft to have different combo's
You can if you build sheds and just use them as warehouses you can make use of the hired hands tools and keep them in chests
Also you can always have more then one Galaxy weapons

@@Rhino123freak Have someone else in multiplayer join and put his tools in a chest, also recommended to let him upgrade his house so you get double wine cellar
Maybe there could be a very late came thing that allows two, along with adding tons.more enchants to more tools

This makes me wish we can craft or buy multiple tools. I would love to have a collect of tools with each enchantment and to be able to choose from different ones based on the situation.
I make 3 cabins, have 3 other people load up and give their tools cause they usually never wns to play.
For the hoe I actually really like swift. My first instinct was "reaching of course", but that makes the charge up take even more time to go from 18-25 tiles. Great if your farm is separated iridium sprinklers I guess, but I have a massive field covered by an 11x5 of iridium sprinklers with no gaps (junimo huts taking up some spaces in the middle). Swift on a hoe greatly increases the charge up speed, and I feel like getting to the 18 tile range quickly can probably work much more land in the same amount of time than getting to the 25 tile range slowly.
Yeah, that swift effect is super fun too I didn't try it on the charge, happy it works on that.
The ones that givenyou more items are cool too

Im REALLY new to this game and I gotta say, watching you play is really intimidating. There's so much you know, I can't even imagine storing all this information! I just can't seem to make any good progress. All the town hates me. I give a flower to one crush I like haha
It's okay, this game is super time consuming. I've been playing it for more than 200 hours. Sometimes I have to look stuff up because I can't solve everything by myself but the spoilers can ruin some of the fun. Finding things out by yourself is fun. The game will give you advice too, pay attention to the secret notes that you can find after solving the first winter quest. The library books you get from artifact spots are good too! A few things I recommend is looking up what every villager likes and giving it to them on their birthday, doing small requests and fixing the community center. Then they will all love you!

I get the calender and place it beside my bed to check for birthdays every day. Most people like chocolate cake, so I've taken to making everyone one on their birthdays lmao. There's also a stardew companion app I use that lets me easily look up favorite gifts, and the Stardew wiki is a lifesaver as well!

I’ve played a long time and there’s stuff I don’t know. Even some secrets concerned ape himself said haven’t been discovered. What’s great about this game is there’s no consequence to playing at your pace and finishing everything slowly, it’s meant to be a relaxing escape so just have fun with it! You’ll have more fun discovering things on your own anyway

Infinity Blade (triple damage enchant and crusader)
Mermaid boots
Iridium band + lucky ring
Burglar's ring + crabshell ring

This update is mental, Stardew is already a huge game and 1.5 is almost an expansion thats free
When my sister first bought me stardew valley for my birthday, I was so excited, but when i found out at the time there wasn't splitscreen coop, i was so sad, since me and my sis play practically every game tgther when possible. I am 12 now, and im so excited for coop coming out! The second it comes out on ps4, im going to play with my sis. :D

Some spoilers:
Artful enchant stacks with the level 10 combat ability allowing for 75% reduction on weapon arts.
Best weapon is hammer with attack+3, artful, more dmg combat tree or attack+3, vampiric and the cool down combat tree, you can add dmg boosting food to both.
Best rings are 2 iridium band + any ring you want, the life steal ring works well with the vampiric hammer and the sapphire ring is good with the dmg build.
Other strong things are:
- fast Galaxy sword (weapon speed+2, dmg+1)
- deadly iridium needle (crit chance+3, critical hits can kill combat ability)
- tank (if you stack raw defense with enchants, weapons, boots and buffs you should be able do make a good defensive build)
And you can upgrade the three iridium weapons again (sadly not the needle). The best way to obtain the disks is actually not buying them but farming monster drops in the ‘hard’ mine. Increase the spawn rate with an elixir an run the forest levels, I got up to 4 disks a day

Oh man, all of this stuff is SO cool. I've been so torn on if I want to make a new file, or use a couple existing ones to play around with the new stuff. Great video, Wickedy!
The update is fully enjoyable with a new or well established farm. With a new one, you'll be able to play the Beach Farm and can change your gameplay setting to make your play different, but with an established farm you'll be able to explore all the end game stuff sooner. Just play at the pace that makes you happy.

@@Wickedy Everyone are excited about the beach farm and nobody paid attention to the enchantment, I can see myself finally using daggers once again! The only sad thing about it is that CA locked the mechanic behind a prism shard and I hate how he balance the game around min/maxer runners, since he increased the difficulty of the skull cavern it's a pain for me to even reach floor 100 since I'm casual, I would love to have access to the forge around gold level upgrades, since when you already have too many prism shards to spare you already done with all the chores of your farm.

Well, considering I had zero idea that 1.5 released, much less had been announced at any point since 1.4 came out, this was a VERY welcome Christmas present!! CA, you are the man!!
Instead of my character just wearing 10 rings I have to jorney through a blazing volcano to reach the forge a relic from the past to combine ring so now I can wear 4 instead of just putting on 10 rings or you could put multiple on the same finger

Thank you very much for this in depth video on forging. I only took a quick glance at the update, I got to the forge and I wasn't too sure what I could do with it. I'm really interested in the reaching skill for both the hoe and waterring can. My main farm is a 1000 Ancient fruit vinyard and getting all those seeds planted and watered on the first two days of spring is a tough task with the time given. So anything that can give me an edge to making this easier is really appreciated. Now I just need to be lucky enough to get both those skill on the same day because I'm like on winter 27 right before the new year (year 10).
Well I tried to savescum getting reaching on at least one of my tool but it seems the game won't let me and always gives me efficient on whatever tool I try(Not just my watering can or hoe). I tired at least 10 times to get the same result every time. I guess it's gonna have to wait to next year to take advantage of that ability : (
I was able to use an item spawner mod for all these shards for demonstration purposes, but on my actual play through im probably going to be a bit more conservative with the shards, and start the forge early morning and restart the day if I don't get what I'm looking for.
From a single farm rpg game to a huge adventure singleplayer rpg with a zillion uprades. This is overwhelming XD thanks for explaining (even tho i am definetly not there yet :P)

Since I play on Switch, I was debating whether or not I should spoil it by watching everyone's 1.5 videos, but I'm glad I did, because my completionist farm doesn't have nearly enough hardwood. I've been grinding for days.
I'm tempted to have Robin build a few cabins, steal their tools then demolish the cabins so I have a few sets of tools to enchant.
