What was the dyno results
Something tells me she has a leaky rear main seal
you all probably dont give a damn but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?
I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tips you can give me
@Christian Gibson Instablaster :)
@Allan Jackson Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
My favorite TV show that I've missed since cord cutting and their website going behind a pay wall. Ive been a fan since the old Hot Rod TV days as a teen and didn't miss an episode until recently.
Pat Topolinski is the real deal, he was my instructor at SAM in Houston, he taught me ALOT and he went on to work for one one of the best Pro Stock teams
Seems like the ultimate engine nerd!
Would have been nice to see the dyno results.
ruclips.net/video/Psz--nm7vL0/видео.html
I'd definitely like to see what a $30k engine can do on the dyno
Nothing like talking crap about HP and not showing your viewers the #'s !!!
Probably under a 1000
It's extremely hard to get a thousand horsepower out of a naturally aspirated engine big block or not just not enough air to make horsepower
Just want to say again how much I enjo hv watching you guys. Pat’s knowledge is awesome
I swear this channel is one of the most American ive ever seen
My God. Go big or go home. EVERYTHING is massive on this monster. Sweet!
LOL, those pistons are ludicrous. This makes me smile : )
Finally they actually explain what all the numbers are and mean they always say while building a motor. I'm not a car specialist have never even pulled motor out of a car myself so someone like me never understood any of it. Now I'm getting what they are talking about and it's actually quite simple.
Excellent! Now I can put a 350 on my kid's tricycle!
I was impressed with the size of the block, bore, rods, and pistons. 😳 When I saw the size of the heads, valves, and (holy hell!) the intake runners I was shocked!
It's about time some Honda civic loving tool will chime in and say how much power their boosted 4 banger piece of crap makes 🥴
@@69yenko65 douche
Backyardmech1 YOU SHOULD SEE THE INTAKE RUNNERS ON MY 12 DEGREE BIG VICTOR HEADS ON MY 632, THEY HAVE 2.45” INTAKE VALVES.
This channel, Trucks, Stacey's Gears and various other car channels like this one with so many unfinished projects, damn madenning!
Just like real life.....
Haven't watched much of these since I pulled the plug on tv altogether. Used to love Ian on extreme off road. When did they replace Ian with Sheldon from Big Bang Theory?
I'm a journeyman red seal auto Tech and this guy knows his shit. Keep up the good work, you're spot on.
WOW very impressive. give yourself a gold star there KW!
@@camgnilpe9300 not sure if you're being a smartass or not but I'll take it as a compliment, thanks
People who brag about how they went to school to turn a wrench are so stupid.
Doctors go to school for 10 years or more & they don't go around telling the world about their credentials....
@@elonmust7470 ok dude whatever you say
Great Channel!
Great content and detailed instructions and explanations!
I really appreciate what you guys are putting out!
Thank You!
That 632 is gonna some serious power!
Volumetric efficiency, thank you for explaining the mathematical aspect of performance reliability.
I just love your budget builds
I'm glad y'all got into the compression ratio a little bit at the end
Sick show . Loving all the details
Engine Masters is way better
I love the voice-over guy, he must smoke 40 a day!
My dad has one in his 64 nova and it’s a monster
10:58 - Knowledge is imparted. Respect is given.
Great show
That was so ..... FresH ! Mr Topalinski !!
I have 2 blueprint engines a 540 and a 496 both have been flawless.
This is great. I have the Skip White 632 (Dart/AFR).
The sound of that boat in the beginning, damn!!!
Never did get to see that Willys. The one Stacy built years ago is still one of my favorites so I really wanted to see that one. Even if it wasn't street legal.
Those heads are insane lol
No follow up to this video? Kind of a waste of time.
Look at their website this shows about 25 years old. I watched it as a teenager on Sundays.
@The Shade Tree Mechanic Haha, "HELL YEAH BROTHER!" Project Mullet.
Mark Rich this is a newer episode
@@markrich3271 thank you an i dont understand people that will watch a hole video you knew half way through that you didn't like but. But instead of not saying nothing bad like your momma rasied you too. You bash it . ive been in grudge racing since i was 15 some people actually like theses types of videos. So to who eva made thid keep up the good work
@@michaelgray2982 Yep and my comment still stands true.
I can't help but to point out that Mike was conspicuously M.I.A., I can't help but wonder if he's either leaving or had already left the show
Am I the only one that spit out their drink when he hammered the thrust bearing out of the motor installing that lower timing pulley? I know that shop has the proper installer somewhere.
I've seen them do that multiple times! Drives me up the wall.
SMOBY44 I’ve also seen them bang the cam lobes off the block plenty of times
Thank you sir 🇧🇩🤝
People have made more comments about beating that lower pulley on. Most engine builders do whats called setting the crank and that is giving it a couple of raps on the end of the crank with a piece of wood and a bfh. I always go back to front in the direction my clutch fork pushes. Beating on the crank with the little rap taps he did will not hurt the thrust bearing nor does it change end play from where it was at to start with.
I am thinking order a custom build 632 from "BluePrint Engine"...put it on a dyno with some NOS....successful episode!!!
no cover for the belt drive in a 4x4, that looks like a recipe for rock mud distaster.... maybe i missed something...
my thoughts exactly.... cant do power adders(that will have the same protection from a filter as a n.a motor) but we can do an open belt drive lol
Loved it
@Brendan McCarthy he said the heads flow 453 cfm @.800, the cam lifts over .800 with huge duration and the 15:1, with a proper induction its well over 1000hp.
don't forget to put the keyway back on the cam adapter after you install the thrust plate...
There is no way I would ever put a belt drive on a displacement like that if anything I would go with gear drive I love the whine they do
Yea, I was with them until I saw the belt.. No, No, No, No, and No.
Belt drive is extremely tough, accurate, quiet/less harmonics and quick to change or disassemble.
Personally, I hate the whine of gear drive unless it's a blower whine.
@@nitroustommy3668 okay so you got to put a extra gear on the crank for the belt and there's no way that a belt is as tough as Steel and as far as the wine of a Gear Drive I really don't care what you like it's what I like that's my opinion bud plus I don't like boost I'm a NA person
😂 you mad bro? Chains stretch and crack, gears wear. There is a reason 4000 HP cars run belt drive . The harmonics from the gear drive would destroy the valvetrain.
I don’t think any true 4wd vehicle will ever use a drive belt for the same reasons they wanted to keep it naturally aspirated. However I doubt this thing will ever be dirty again.
Those 4.6 inch pistons are huge! They are like the size of the pistons in a semi truck.
She looks good.
GREAT VIDEO, THATS GONA BE 1 BAD ASS WILLYS, IM BUILDING A SMALL BLOCK 54 WILLYS PICK UP,COOL TRUCKS
Damn Liza you got some big thunder bunz!
You know you like it!
Big Block yes! Liza yes!
she’s a baddie!!
Let's hopes Power nation can there hands on the 7.3L Godzilla V8.
Did you see how big that cam is on it. That thang huge. Guarantee it gonna last.
She gorgeous 😍
Name chane right reminds me of a girl I had auto shop with.
THICC
She's bottom thick.
2:30 when the boss isn't looking. hahaha
Damn. That's a big engine. It's got over twice the displacement of my 5.0 Coyote.
I did the math to get in into liters and I couldn't believe it. I thought i did my math wrong but I didnt, 10.3L is insane right?
@@edwardmyers1746 sounds more like a marine desile engine or something, dosen't it?
@@177SCmaro deffietly I know them marine motors get pretty big like 8.1L and bigger as well!
@deadboy600 420hp from 5 liters stock so more like 84hp/l. This BBC would need to make about 870hp while meeting emissions standards to do what my 5.0 does stock with its displacement. Given those huge heads I don't see 870hp being that hard to achieve here but doing it while being EPA compliant for a car or light truck is another story.
@@177SCmaro It probably could be done but wouldn't be exactly easy.
Dammm cleetus we found leroys new engine
Woogy can dance. Must have found some nice heals to sniff. Lol lol lol
Will there be a follow up video to this ? Really wanted to see the Dyno numbers...
The GM Performance 632 is 12:1, runs on 93 octane, and makes a little over 1000 hp. 30k from Jegs.
great no bullshit show
Master engine builders didn’t even use a piston ring expander
2:30
Pat finally loses it after all the assembly lube and exhaust fumes he's been inhaling
I didn't see the crank come out. You guys normally just throw in a set of rods/pistons on any random crank? Or was it a complete crank/rod/piston kit purchased?
Please keep uploading episodes to RUclips , @powernationtv going through the website to view past episodes is a nightmare
If you change the piston and the rod you damn well better rebalance the whole assembly
Very true. This episode always disturbed me because of that.
Yay
The narrators voice bum humps my mind when I sleep 😱😱
What a Cool Lady 😂😂😁👍👍
Pat better not let Eliza see how he permalubes those wrist pins lol
*casually slides piston in with no rings* 0:03
For degreeing the cam
how did pounding on the crank snout not change the crank run out????
it's a rat motor.
God,,, after puttin all that luv into that bottom end, and then take a 1/2 jack to the end of the crank,,, something has to give!! and the start-up of that motor with all that piston rock,,just like the corvettes did on start-up back in the day!! the early morning "rattle"! just sayin
FUCK JUST SAYIN!
Mate, really enjoy your show! After 30 years building motors it always surprises me how much lube you use whilst assembling the engine. I design the assembly lines, fixturing and tooling for BMW engine group and must say you use more lubricant on one engine than we do in a week of production. Is this an American thing or personal enjoyment?
In most high performing builds like this where parts are machined to order you really don’t want to risk access ware on the engine so lube is never a bad thing
I wish I had my 3rd gen RS Camaro.
Hey Pat can I borrow a blue pen or a little screwdriver or a slide rule or a black pen or maybe a pencil or a little flash light or your phone or glasses or your leatherman? Geez what are you goin into space?
Looks like the truck from Jeepers Creepers.
holy shit now those are rods
Nice dance moves Pat.
Don't stop building engines. Bawhahahaa
Joe was better
Its to see a goods size lady at work...
That lady must have never heard of a filter before, pfft too messy for power adders? the mud just cools the blower!!
No discussion about the head gaskets we are using on a 15 to 1 compression motor? i would have liked to hear about that.....
The narator should say " YEAHHHH...'MURICA"
15.36:1 compression......my goodness! Wow!!!
I'm pretty curious about dyno number, if they make any..
@@rmdhndwi ruclips.net/video/Psz--nm7vL0/видео.html
makes you scared when you PULL ON IT 😁
Waa this the episode that has the reusable oil filter canister style that was black? Who made it?
Hello.l love mechanic job. I always whatch your videos . I want to now how many yers did you work and stady to get here . Iwant to be like you .
Wish there was the rest of the video to see the hp and tq numbers
The piston moves alot @ 8:20
i dont think it had rings in it.
I spot an Olds at 18:27 in the video. Is there a video or build about that engine? I could not find any when searching on the RUclips page.
That could be the old horsepower tv 455 build that got a new camshaft and intake. That motor was actually worked on by the late Joe Mondello aka Dr. Olds.
@@michaelhorgan9525 Ah, thanks, that`s pretty cool that Joe Mondello worked on it. He is/was one of the guys I look up to.
The extra -.0035 on the deck clearance an issue with manufacturers' numbers or rod bearing clearance?
Raymond Kaczmarek my guess would be that the block was not decked to the exact number advertised, possibly to leave room for clean up on a future rebuild if the deck surface was damaged
Where is the lube on the cam going in???
Full episode? Where is the dyno? What the number?
I am about 100% sure he touched everyone of those head fasteners again with the camera off! 🤣
Not balancing the assembly??
had no idea that, that short of a piston, let it rock back and forth that much @ tdc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW"!!! cold start ""rattle"" I am assuming????????????
ok, i just fell in LOVE. who is that? Whats her name?. i like the wagon too.
Eliza Leon (name shown @ 15:58..............i know right!! she's beautifully thick!!
utfan26 yeah!! she’s super thick! 🤤🤤
So thick her butt cheeks are going to pop out her back pockets and make assless chaps. 😋
Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal.
Juicy
A huge 10L V8?
Jeez!
Is a 4.75 stroke reliable for a street truck 632 used often 4 days a week???
First Last ABSOLUTELY, AS LONG AS YOU USE QUALITY PARTS.
dyno video?
I wouldn't use a timing belt on a heavy hitter mud truck, if anything I'd swap in timing gear's
So what's the power?
What about balance & blueprint ???
what about it?
What's the benefit of going with belt instead of chain for cam drive?
No harmonics transferring through a belt. Probably 10 to maybe 15 more hp
Same blueprint block thats in toast right?
Going in a mud truck - And you use a open timing belt ???
Clearly only about who pays and donates what now and not about building something that works
It has a cover.....WTF, it was mock up
632 Ci + 10.3566 Liters
why run a belt for timing and not chain or gears?
Wouldn't a rubber timing belt be more susceptible to stretching in such a high compression high horse power motor?
I would think so, a big inch mud running engine, I would run timing gears.
