I could be off on this since I haven’t had a chance to play it but a lot of the demos I’ve heard sound almost like a Marshall JMP-1, but with more tone shaping options. Definitely gonna pick one up.
Brett, thank you very much for your demo's. the metal was great but the single coil Broadcaster was FiYAH. I stumbled on your channel by accident saw another video by a big time youtuber he was alright but man you worked every switch, knob, button, and slider like you've made the dang thing. I like your style, knowledge and groove. Subscribed to your channel and gonna scoop one of these up.
It sounded awful lot like 80’s rockman style distortion when you added that chorus and started playing rush. I love these pedals with full eq……i like the rockaway archer etc. this seems even more versatile with the 2 boosts and the gate…..sounds amazing. Btw I typically hate metal with few exceptions so thanks for this vid….most other demos are unwatchable to me.
Honestly, I'm surprised that the pedal sounds FAR better with this Tele/Broad than the Holcomb SE, given their marketing has been focused at the heavier players. Definitely not to say a tele can't be used for any genre!
I wish more playing was shown with the gain and pre-boost rolled fully out upd: I've checked the manual and looks like zero pre-boost means zero volume. The 9-hour pre-boost was shown (though briefly), sorry for those demands :)
I’m really liking this Pentatone more and more. This video only adds to it. See, I’m not much of a Fender guy. Don’t get me wrong, I love David Gilmour and SRV. Just not my sound. But… Back in 1980 I bought two Gibson guitars brand new and still own them after 44 years. One is a 25/50 Anniversary Les Paul. It’s got the usual vintage Humbuckers that LP’s are famous for. The other guitar is a 1980 Flying V2. It’s a gorgeous instrument with gold hardware, a natural finish on a five layer body. It’s got V or boomerang shaped pickups and tail piece. Very cool looking. Only problem is… the boomerang shaped tailpiece makes it just about impossible to find a tremolo that will work. But that’s not the biggest issue. The boomerang pickups were something Gibson did specifically for this guitar. They are, for lack of a better description, dual single coils. They have a small coil in each half on the V at 30 degree angle. Each coil covers three strings. So, you have the dual coil humbucker thing going on but it still sounds like a single coil. All in all, the guitar sounds very Strat like. And, the boomerang shape of course, makes it pretty much impossible to replace the pickups with something more modern. I have been looking for many years for something that would give it some cojones. I even wired an ancient Barkus Berry preamp into the thing. So, all of that is to say that maybe, just maybe… this Pentatone will make my V2 sing like it should.
Hello from Canada Brett. Is this unit meant to be plugged into either a real amp, or a digital amp model, or is it an actual amp modeller like the NU-X Amp Academy that can run direct into a studio console, or a P.A. Board?
Brett Kingman always play like a KING!!
It's the only pedal that have me intrigued - in a long time. Sounds incredible.

This is like an 80's toolbox, Brett!. Wishing you and your family a great new year to come!
Always love a bit of ‘Limelight’ - should make that my ringtone again.

Hmmm, don't care about a metal pedal but that's a great thing you got goin there with that tele.

I swear to all things holy, if I bought this pedal, I could never, ever get it to sound this good…uurrgh!!!!
Can I turn OFF all distortions and use only EQ section? As EQ only pedal. ?
Great song
Nice

"1966 Fender Blackface Twin Reverb, Vibrato Channel, tuned by Andy Fuchs ", what kind of mod is this???? Is there a preset? 🙂

What is the song Brett often plays when demoing chorus? Is it a Rush song?
Brett? Anyone?
This sounds excellent :) Great demo Brett
At 4:16? That’s “Limelight” by Rush, off of Moving Pictures.
@@Coffee3lf Thanks
Okay then
"OK, enough of it"?
No sir, just no, I strongly disagree...

Sounds amazing!
Can the Eq be used independently of the distortion?
