I think the Frito Bandito is hilarious. 😅 Very clever idea
There will never be another peak like the Frito Bandito ever again
Remember Cheesy Rider?
Yeah, a cool cat with sunglasses riding a chopper!
They should!!
Nothing beats the FRITO BANDITO
Still like the Frito Bandito regardless of how anyone feels. They should at least make a new Fritos Kid.
I’m old enough to remember the Frito Kid and Muncha Buncha jingle. But i remember the Bandito eraser being a must have, up there with the Wacky Racers erasers.
I had no idea that anybody objected to the Frito Bandito. As a kid I thought he was delightful and funny. The song is great. “ I’ll get them from you”.
I love W.C Fritos. "Everything I do is either illegal, immoral, or fattening".
"GODFREY DANIELS!!!!"
thanks to the democrats.....everything that is funny is racist or offensive....Dividing the people so they can get their share of angry voters. LOVELY.
I had a Frito Bandito pencil topper
Cool 👍
I had dozens of those things... ! and I see they go for 40 bucks on Ebay - wish I still had them......
How is the bandito a stereotype? It's a depiction of Mexicans in the old west & I'm guessing 1 in particular from a Clint Eastwood movie that uttered the famous line " Badges? We don't need no stinking badges! "
This ^^
That line wasn't from a Clint Eastwood movie. It was from "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre", starring Humphrey Bogart and Walter Huston.
@@disneyfan8178 Ok my bad. I'm guessing that's also why Looney Tunes stopped making Speedy Gonzales cartoons too. Also voiced by Mel Blanc.
I love fritos
Especially the chili cheese flavor and the twisted honey barbecue flavor
U just got a new sub. I like the Frito Bandito
Can you post any of the commercials with the Munch a bunch cowboys if
you can find them? I vaguely recall seeing one the year the narrator said
that Frito Bandito was retired.
Sad what happened to the Frito Bandito
Ikr
Hope you’re channel keeps on growing. This is awesome.
A lot of Millennials have never even heard of WC Fields- IMHO the greatest solo comic of the early sound period! Fritos should make him their mascot again for that reason alone!
It SHOULD be the Bandito! Lmao!
Chili Cheese Fritos chips are my favorite.
In the age of minimalistic and bland brands, I kind of miss all these mascots.
I do agree that a lot of them relies on stereotypes, especially based on ethnicity or country of origin; they aged poorly and are kind of tasteless in that regard; but overall mascots are so damn cool and gives so much personality to a brand, a product, an event, etc.
Like here, this whole mexican stereotype is something to keep in the past, but with it and the other mascots, there is a whole cowboy lore and imagery you can use.
Fritos are probably still good, but the brand is definitely more bland now.
I really hope to them come back more in the future.
@GrannyBender What about Speedy Gonzalez? Don't some Hispanics and Mexicans love him?
I had never seen the mascots of Fritos and the Frito kid is the best mascot. (PS:This is the best view ever)
Thank you! Glad I could introduce you to these mascots!
Watching this while eating Fritos
Mexican Americans I knew were fans of the Frito Bandito.
Chili Cheese and Barbecue Fritos are my favorites
BBQ is the best Frito flavor!!
Currently binging your videos, good stuff. Could you do one on the Keebler Elves or Sugar Bear?
Makes me wonder what if Frito Kid meets the Frito Bandito?
How do you not have more views? This is a really good video, and I honestly wish they kept The Frito Kid, he's my favorite of the Fritos mascot. Also, I know this is a weird request, but could you upload the Magic Bullet Frito Kid ad? That one is super cute, and I haven't seen the whole thing.
Thank you for checking out my videos! Here's the link to the Frito Kid commercial (Historic Commercial and Bag Footage): www.magicbulletmedia.com/MNR/Fritos80th/
The toys are worth a small fortune now
Anyone recognize the "Mom" in that first W.C. Fritos commercial?
I've never had the Chutney flavored Fritos.
Do you know what years WC Fritos appeared?
I seem to recall a WC Fritos commercial from the early to mid 70s where he kept visiting the school nurse with some little complaint or other in order to get a free bag of Fritos from her. The three I remember were...
My glove is stuck.
My nose is cold.
Indians! Indians!
I have a feeling more white women complained about Fritos Banditos than actual Mexican Americans.
I'd love to see the Frito Bandito. But let's be honest, it'll end up triggering all of the woke weirdos out there. (That's okay, I'll allow it 😉)
