In 2015, I started listening to some trap, Troyboi, and so on, but then it quieted down a bit. In 2018, I discovered DJ Timmy Trumpet, and I fell in love with EDM because of him. In 2020, I became more interested in techno and house, and that's when Hardwell spoke to me. I knew about him before, but that's when everything started for me, and that's how I fell in love with techno. I like those dark, strong, and energetic beats. I also want to start making music. There aren't many tutorials like yours on Polish RUclips, so I'm glad I found you. I hope I'll succeed. Thank you again!
I've been producing EDM for roughly 5 years, i am not the greatest but i have been able to get an unreleased (yet coming soon 😉) track signed to a smaller label and i recently started watching edm tutorials especially more of your videos because i never wanna stop learning and by watching these videos I've learned alot more than i knew years ago! These videos have been really helpful and my entire perspective aswell as a big percentage of how i produce has changed immensely for the better 🤙🏻 Thank you for all the advice ❤️🔥

A great tip for reference tracks is to sketch out the arrangement in the DAW using labels and then you can have a good visual reference for when certain elements come in and go out.

I take it one step further: I change the percussion samples and I tune them (with EQ peak filters or with pitch shifting; instead of reducing resonant frequencies, I *strengthen* them). Then, that gives me ideas for a melody. After that, the rest just falls in place.

Check out the trial versions first of some of the popular DAWs like Ableton, FL Studio, Cubase, Bitwig, etc. and once you have found the DAW you feel most comfortable with (and has enough relevant tutorials on YT that can cover all the questions that you may have) I recommend that you understand the stock plugins first before spending money on third party plugins. :) (Never underestimate stock plugins!)
im fresh to all of this. im wanting to make dubstep and all sorts of edm even as far as some chill house but mainly dubstep. would you maybe consider doing a dubstep tutorial for a video sometime?

Everytime I try to use Ableton I get to the screaming in rage point . I have an ancient old DAW I'm still using from 20years ago . 😅 Great tips personally I used samples and basically did the same .
Yep...samples...MIDI...it's all good! I'm about to release an Ableton Beginners course actually....taking an age to make but should ease some of that rage 😆

Hi, I have a question about EDM, maybe you know the answer? A popular element of it seems all EDM is what I would call the bursting thermometer, or something similar. It's when there is a pulsing sound that emerges and builds in tempo and pitch until it "explodes" and it's so corny but whatever, so is most EDM in my view. But I imagine that element has a name so that when EDM makers want to talk about it they can. What is it called?
