If you didn't notice, the Intro of Ranma and P Chan on Swings is referencing Heidi, Girl of the Alps opening which is so cool to nod great old animes that you can watch Also, this fight is so rigged compared to Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul 😂 Like St. Bacchus school really rigged the fight so bad they can't even beat the elusive Ranma Saotome Go, Ranma Saotome 💪
Yeah, the thing with the final moment of the fight was that Ranma had kicked the post out from under Kodachi and barely managed to save himself while Kodachi lost by ring-out. It was definitely NOT translated well, and I really don't get why, because it very easily COULD have been. I have absolutely no idea what was going on in the studio when that bit was getting animated. The director was clearly sleeping on the job that day.
It didn't translate well most likely because this specific episode was directed by 3 or 4 directors. That must be the reason, but don't worry about the rest of the season because it's the only one like this.
This version of the Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics match is more faithful to the original manga than the previous Ranma ½ (1989) anime. But the first anime had writers throwing in some tweaks that made it more entertaining. The first anime made it clear the ref knew there was only one rule: No unarmed combat. Any non-body part qualified as a tool In my opinion, Kodachi is a coward. She ambushes her would-be opponents, pulls dirty tricks and uses dangerous tools her opponent doesn't use, trying to inflect a handicapping injury. From a writer's point of view, her cowardice can be seen as equivalent to Ryōga's trait of getting easily lost: It can explain why they aren't around when Ms Takahashi doesn't want to include them in one of her story plots Ryōga has no sense of direction, but he has a target sense. He was able to find Ranma in the middle of nowhere China and he is now able to find Akane because of the affection he gets from her through P-chan
@tomdouge6618 I remember them being shown hidden in some dark place (under the ring) while having some snacks, but I don't remember what they were talking about.
@@LegnaiaUnderground I remember one of them going for a ghost story atmosphere with Kodachi substituting for the ghost. It helped with the tension. In a fun way
Another thing Ryoga's crush on Akane we already knew that was coming but it was just more quicker in the 80s they gave more of an explanation delve a little deeper on the why. I mean we know the why but 80s gave us more depth to it.
entire ranma 1/2 anime is more believable than tyson vs paul
Funniest comment of the day 😂
🤣
I love this
So true!
Believe it or not, in the original series, Kodachi's entrance was even flashier.
Insane!

Go, Ranma Saotome 💪
This episode was hilarious I loved it.
I'm getting more and more a Ranma fan
Same! We are right there with you!
You know when you boil down to it (ha boil, hot water) Akane is a true friend for what she did for Ranma and Ryoga
Oh, definitely!
Fun fact: Kodachi was literally the character that created that kind of laugh so commonly used by many spoiled rich girls in anime.
That’s incredible! We had no idea!
14:25 Haha, you know an anime/episode has got to be amazingly ridiculous and special to make someone exclaim “Good golly, Jimini Cricket” 😂
🤣 oh yea it is!

😂😂 Yeah, we’ve had a few people tell us the captions aren’t the best
@@DipDownAnime Well, I was talking about how they animated the scene.

@@scythe9734 Well, I'm actually worried about other things, but it's too soon to know if those concerns are warranted.
@TuxedAaron I don't know about "Other things" but I know for sure that production of cour 1 ended in June 2024 and Cour 2 already started.
Considering they're using fireworks & confetti indoors, I suppose it explains the hose delivering a small river for its stream.
I don’t know what the fire codes are in Nerima, but they seem to be particularly lax in the Fuurinkan area.
ranma 9:39 ryoga 😃
Wait until Shampoo enters the scene
Looking forward to it!
Yup

An example of change in the old anime are the roses in the dressing room. There the roses sprayed out narcotic gas, that put panda Genma asleep.
@@LegnaiaUnderground I liked the gymnasts of Kodachi's team bantering under the ring
