I Find myself watching this one over and over...I think the actors made it come off as more real and believable, like.... I can picture myself in the scenario. I don't think Harrison Ford, Shawn Connery and Natalie Portman in it would have made it any better. I really don't know much about Steam Punk but I really liked this one...
@Timothy McCaskey Actually, many actors are affordable. There's also many examples of big movies where basically non-actors were used and through good casting, coaching and directing, the performances were really good.
Only such small private groups that do not like money and success will be able to resist and bring down Hollyweird in such a fashion. They will face an onslaught of money in an effort to crush competition by Hollywood.
I love the over dubbing . It makes me feel like I am in a different world where the language is different, and there is an illusion they are speaking a language no one in our world understands. Also It makes it very stylish and merits its own artistic licensing- making it very unique AND FuNNy! It also feels more vintage when it takes me back to old foreign films that are overdubbed! It makes me smile very much, thank you very much for making my day very happy😂
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Koa Xander Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Awesome material!!! Why can't the Sci Fi (refuse to label that sissy "SyFy" bullshit) Channel come out with such innovative ideas such as these--I've had it up to my ass with zombie and vampire flicks already! SteamPunk should be the order of the day! And how about some Sherlock Holmes, Jules Verne or even HP Lovecraft to supplement the lineup?? ( PS Last show on Sci Fi akin to this was "The Adventures of Jules Verne" (or something like that) which I remember aired around 2000 or 2001.)
+ursa41 No curent coperate funded sci-fi will ever do that becuse it means to deviante from the ''keep things static unless prompted to change''... love sci-fi were shit Arent static
That is because todays sci fi is aimed at those that turn over after the kardashians! dont fool yourself that sci fi is made for the fans! its made for money and bums on seats, aimed at the knuckle dragging LCD. BTW this is actually awesome!!! top work, fan love keeping it real!
An excellent job of blending the live actors with the cgi, some terrific designs, a lot to applaud here! Acting is variable - even leaving out the voices (in German or English dub), some can't help grinning to be in such a cool thing, despite everything supposed to be crashing around them. Good luck to all who sail in this, I hope you do get to develop it further.
There is much about the film that I liked and I hesitate to criticize. That said, the weak link was acting. Writing and story was good, sets and costumes were excellent, and animations top-notch.
Please continue with this! Nicely done, so far, and to those who think "Not enough rust," while I agree the engine room needs more grime, remember, steampunk has many different incarnations.
Whilst I LOVE this genre, I cannot but regard Steampunk as jewelry to strut in. There are items out there that work, however. Steamfired watches, levers and gears that operate function - and it is this that I am utterly in awe of. Sadly, the vast majority are but poseurs and I simply cannot take it seriously. However, any person who expresses themselves to be that which they see themselves as without shame, fear or embarrasment, has my sincere respect. And it's in that which I admire those who follow this fashion.
I think the English dub really adds to the character of the film. It makes it obviously foreign. And which foreign work is actually well dubbed? I love the "bad" voice work!
Makes me think of a live action anime. Reminds me a little bit of the "Last Exile." I really liked the designs, and the costumes. The special effects and CGI were pretty cool, too. Story wise, and acting and action.... Makes me think of anime! I like it!
All the time, all the love, all the creativity... poured into nothing but another war movie. Nine minutes of a gun battle before I gave up. How depressing to waste such talent to produce more war.
Sorry, folks, I just watched this for the eleventeenth time. For the genre, this voice acting (und Tonmischung) is TOP NOTCH! Just the right amount of "epic corniness" with a video game feel. The tone fits like a glove! I LOVE the English voice work! Also, gibt mir Tiernamen... JETZT!
Design and roads and cars are right out of 1935 Popular Science and Popular Mechanics. I love the cars especially! And the planes!!! That was incredible work!!! Could have had the engineer speak in a Scottish accent: "Captain, I've fixed the warp drive!" (Kidding!!) I thought the young lady was very strong, most of the men were weak. I am reminded of The Rocketman. Great fantesy, capturing Sci Fi out of the 1930's but much better!! Hope to see the whole movie some day.
I love this!!! I would totally buy / watch this film in cinema! The acting is a bit stiff and the special effects obvious, but for an amateur production it's great. I love the designs and ideas behind it. It's absolutely worth becoming a larger production! Good luck, all the best and may your hydrogen tanks always be full!
I know the acting is cheesy, but the Japanese style of steam punk is just that. It is almost python caliber. That being said. This is the best non main stream studio steam punk I’ve ever seen.
That was an awesome feeling the only thing I can say is that sometimes the CGI is not going to act in or acting is not going with the CGI, like kind of fake, but overall it was absolutely fantastic. I'll be looking forward to see part 2. thank you
Fantastic. I always loved the speculative/alternative history sci-fi/fantasy genres like cyberpunk, steampunk, and dieselpunk. I hope they eventually give Airlords of Airia the big budget Hollywood treatment. Just like dieselpunk masterpiece, Sky Captain started out as a short film project that was later remade as a big budget film (which sadly flopped), this little steampunk masterpiece deserves the same big budget treatment.
This... is.... GREAT!!! Just a lot of fun to watch. Loved the visuals, the action, the actors... and "The Camp" (if anybody still knows what that is). I'll be sharing it. Thanks for the up!!
First the bad: The acting needs a little bit of work. No biggie. A little more practice makes perfect. Then the good: Everything else. This is outstanding. Very well done. Very enjoyable to watch. Had to pause it a bunch of times the second time I watched it just to get a full appreciation of the detail and cinematography. You guys did a great job. You should send this in to Netflix. They're always looking for a good idea for a new, original series and I think you guys have a winner here. I'm looking forward to your next one.
What an amazing achievement. Thanks for giving a fantastic example to those of us who are trying to do the same thing. Awesome effects. Great editing. Design and costumes. As for the acting, of course the dubbing will affect how you perceive it! I was hooked and want to see more!
You've created an awesome universe for this story, and I really hope you can get the full version out there. Hollywood could definitely learn a thing or three from you guys
I love this! Steampunk airship/airplane/dragons with gatling guns battles are amazing! I know it was CGI but the detailing is fantastic! And WHERE IS PART 2?
Its great to see these independent films popping up.My only criticism is that I would have preferred subtitles to dubbing but that's my personally taste.
The Captain cares not for definition, only the sheer expansive thought of every creative impulse to spread its wings and fly, not defined as what it shouldn't be by being exactly what it should...I raise my glass to the creation that brought me here...see you in the ether, where the inner and outer worlds collide in synchronized harmony. 🐋
Looks great. I really enjoyed this and I do not remember any other good steampunk movie except "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" which I really like. Would be nice to have another movie :-)
complaining about dubbing is 'silly', it wasn't filmed in english No way is english going to match the lip movement the special effects , modeling, and video overlay, were PERFECT i loved this, and hope they can continue to make more chapters or a feature film
The efects, the music, the actors, the story .......... just about anything WONDERFUL!!!! Thus a film I was very happy to see in the cinema Why do not you make it into a Real Movie?
Such wonderful humor, history, and creativity in our deflated displaced world, how is it possible? I loved it x1000!!! You guys and girls are first rate all around. Thanks for brightening my day. I thought the acting was superb. These are professional actors, and darn good ones too.
Absoluter Hammer...das ganze cgi, Konzept, ist Wirklich absolut großartig, würde gern selbst mal bei sowas mitspielen :D .... Ich hoffe auf weitere Episoden, macht weiter so!!!
Wow, that was FUN! Visually stunning and very imaginative! Airships and DRAGONS! How cool is that?! Heck, yes, I'd love to see a full-length movie based on this premise. It would be exciting and different from most of the Hollywood dreck. Might even rank up there with Peter Jackson and LotR!
Concept: Excellent
Special Effects: Excellent
Story Line: Interesting
Acting: Find different people...
Am with you: great story , lousy acting .
@@richardthomas5852 THAT'S THE BEST PART!!!
Still better than what Hollywood has produced recently........................ May I remind you about Mortal Engines?
Better than I could do.... besides, it lends a nice old school indie effect.
I like it.
Besides, what are you comparing it to?
@@steamnach2853 : Exactly! 😃
"They have dragons?! That's not fair!" Steampunk dragons with Hussar riders has my vote any time.
9:08 well, since nobody said it...
THEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED
Yah I got that, "Where are they coming from?", my answer "Poland obviously.".
COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAINSIDE
Hover-the-top action, some humor, spectacular setting and art. This would made an awesome 6-8 episodes mini series.
I love, love, love Sci-fi and Steam punk. Favorite theme for anything, costume, movie, music, everything
"They have dragons! That's not fair!"
I know, I want some too.
Steampunk, Sci-fi,and Fantasy! Got to Love it! Dragons, Oh My!
dragons with machine guns, wow that was original. really great movie.
Wonderful, gorgeous steampunk machines and images...and really bad acting...love it!
RichardFeynmanRules I can't bear to watch this because of the poor voice acting. Where is the original?
ikr lol it was so weird.
Being too slick and polished makes things lose character.
Is also kind of like live action RPG.
Aman
I think its in a different language and the actors doing the over dubs are what is bad.
Winged Polish hussars on dragons .
With gatling guns .
OK that's fun .
" They have dragons...that's not fair"
I Find myself watching this one over and over...I think the actors made it come off as more real and believable, like.... I can picture myself in the scenario. I look forward to the day that small private groups can make quality full length movies and put the Hollywood clowns out of business.
That day is already here.
It is not this day.
This, as it exists today, is still better than Hollywood.
@Timothy McCaskey Actually, many actors are affordable. There's also many examples of big movies where basically non-actors were used and through good casting, coaching and directing, the performances were really good.

😊 Absolutely agree!
Dubbing + Dialog + So-So Acting = DID YOU FREAKING SEE THAT? GIANT AIRSHIPS! ... was I saying something?
"to be continued..." - WHEN? ...can't WAIT!
Modern take on futuristic Art Deco mechanised steampunk in retrospective Victorianism,.. love it..
alright !!!! airships , beautiful women and steampunk dragons ...., whats not to love , sign me up.
Flying Dragons with machine guns. You have won AWESOME!
Your English voice actors are perfect, but I much prefer subtitles over dubbing.
I need subtitles. I can't use dubs because I'm deaf.
Gad. I've watched this a dozen times and with the right actors, this could be a real winner. Taking nothing away from the current actors, of course.
Wow, you put a lot of work into that! Well done!
i guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account??

I am quite distressed that you have not continued this lovely piece.
They've got Dragons! That's not fair!
dragons are ALWAYS welcome and fair!
I'm only finding this now?! This is awesome!!
8:27 - Kind of cheesy but I love it!! The whole video is great!! I hope there is more to find!!
I love the three wheeled cars! It makes me want to build one and drive it.
This NEEDS to be an actual film!
Steampunk Dragon Hussars? Can't get more EPIC than that!!!
radness
Hussars are epic cause they are humans with wings ,they are always amazing.
Steampunk Polish Dragon Hussars. The Poles were the ones that had those wings attached to their horse.
Steampunk dragon hussars *with machine guns*
Not just machine guns but turned-brass gatling guns, lol.

Live actors? You thought they were live actors? Live actors riding real dragons?
Bwah-ah-hahahaha!!!!
They mounted miniguns on dragons? Thats a terrible idea, I freaking love it.
There is much about the film that I liked and I hesitate to criticize. That said, the weak link was acting. Writing and story was good, sets and costumes were excellent, and animations top-notch.
Great visuals. Giving the actors extra credit as it was all green screen work. Thanks for adding the behind the scenes look too
Watching this concept trailer for two years. About time the full feature aired. This is awesome.
Please continue with this! Nicely done, so far, and to those who think "Not enough rust," while I agree the engine room needs more grime, remember, steampunk has many different incarnations.
The tower looks like an hybrid of The Tower of Babel and Vladimir Tatlin's "Monument to The Third International" - love it.
Deserves less forced acting and direction, and a bigger budget, but is solidly awesome.
CliventheTraveller pretty much sums it up.
I thought the appalling acting was deliberate !
Agree, also subtitles instead of voiceovers in English would help, imo. Very cool little movie! Reminds me of 1980 Flash Gordon.
Whilst I LOVE this genre, I cannot but regard Steampunk as jewelry to strut in.

Steam punk dragons! I like it!! Please sir... may we have more?!?!
OMG, Crimson Skies with winged Hussars and Fellbeasts, i want a Videogame with it. Great work!!!!
The best cheesy short film I have seen thus far! I really like the cinematography and imagination put into this and look forward to the sequel!
this is cool, makes me want to watch SkyCaptain again.
Some of the nicest looking steam punk models and cgi I have seen,
I think the English dub really adds to the character of the film. It makes it obviously foreign. And which foreign work is actually well dubbed? I love the "bad" voice work!
@Matt Hudson_Me too! 😀 I'm currently in love with all things Steampunk!
Well, it's nice to see someone finally built Taitlin's tower.
Throw some decent money at these guys ...as soon as
I've now swathed part 1, fifteen times. Where is the rest? PLEASEEEEEEE
Please make a full length movie, even if only on DVD, and I WILL BUT IT!
I like the look of this film! Obviously, an alternate reality.
Makes me think of a live action anime. Reminds me a little bit of the "Last Exile."
I really liked the designs, and the costumes. The special effects and CGI were pretty cool, too.
Story wise, and acting and action.... Makes me think of anime! I like it!

Very well dun, unimaginable beautiful crafted movie, should this be new long movie and nice story with it, it will be a champion.
All the steam punk whimsy one could wish, for from the Victorian theatrics to the gorgeous copperplate. A pure gem.
Oh man, I'd love to play a role in one of these! STEAMPUNK FTW!

I love it , I love it , I love it !!! Please keep making steampunk movies !!! AIRLORDS OF AIRIA IS FANTASTIC !!!!!
Acting/dialogue was a little silly at times, but oh my goodness, the visuals were stunning! Great job, can't wait for the next one!
Winged hussars. Riding dragons. You guys win the internet.
damn....something original for a change.....Excellent work guys! (And girls!) Time for me to research more! =D

Steampunk is so underappreciated! Bravo!
"WE'LL SEE WHO HAS THE BIGGEST CANNON HERE!" lol my favourite line
He said "longest". Sadly.
Which is even better if you translate it in my language XD

A beauty. I would love to see a one hour and a half movie.

Winged Hussars on Dragons. Love it.
Astounding visuals!! Highly entertaining and impressive!!!

Make a Feature Film..A Series..and a Video Game!
This is so fantastically bad, it's awesome. Where's part 2?
Fire breathing dragons with machine guns. That is just pure awesome.
Hope you plan to continue the series! Great fun, and thank you for the "making of" segment afterwards.
complaining about dubbing is 'silly', it wasn't filmed in english
No way is english going to match the lip movement
the special effects , modeling, and video overlay, were PERFECT
i loved this, and hope they can continue to make more chapters or a feature film
Merci de nous faire partager ce film. :-)
This was excellent. I can't wait to see Part 2. Very well done. Steampunk done right.
“Okay, so our entire budget was spent on the animation.”
Sky Captain flies again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved all the metal and wood. Great designing. And can it be bad w/ dragons? I don't think so.
