Steampunk Fantasy Sci-Fi short film trailer AIRLORDS OF AIRIA. Please spread and share, if you would like to see a feature film or series one day.
Airlord Karak, admiral of a fleet of airships, discovered a powerful ancient weapon on an expedition. After he conquered the Wodnik 7 naval base, he plots to seize power of the Airia Republic and drag the entire continent into war. Lura the chief of police joins forces with a gang of smugglers in order to thwart the power-hungry admiral's plans.
AIRLORDS OF AIRIA is a fast-paced mix of science fiction, fantasy and steampunk elements. The viewer is led into a fantasy world where many unknown lands, cultures and life forms are still to be discovered, and every day holds a new adventure.
AIRLORDS OF AIRIA is a feature film Project. An elaborate 10-minute special was produced with amateur actors in order to give you a taste into the world of Airlords.

Hover-the-top action, some humor, spectacular setting and art. This would made an awesome 6-8 episodes mini series.

Yah I got that, "Where are they coming from?", my answer "Poland obviously.".
I Find myself watching this one over and over...I think the actors made it come off as more real and believable, like.... I can picture myself in the scenario. I don't think Harrison Ford, Shawn Connery and Natalie Portman in it would have made it any better. I really don't know much about Steam Punk but I really liked this one...
I love the over dubbing . It makes me feel like I am in a different world where the language is different, and there is an illusion they are speaking a language no one in our world understands.Also It makes it very stylish and merits its own artistic licensing- making it very unique AND FuNNy! It also feels more vintage when it takes me back to old foreign films that are overdubbed! It makes me smile very much, thank you very much for making my day very happy😂

I think its in a different language and the actors doing the over dubs are what is bad.
I look forward to the day that small private groups can make quality full length movies and put the Hollywood clowns out of business.

@Timothy McCaskey Actually, many actors are affordable. There's also many examples of big movies where basically non-actors were used and through good casting, coaching and directing, the performances were really good.
Only such small private groups that do not like money and success will be able to resist and bring down Hollyweird in such a fashion.
They will face an onslaught of money in an effort to crush competition by Hollywood.

Your English voice actors are perfect, but I much prefer subtitles over dubbing.
I need subtitles. I can't use dubs because I'm deaf.
An excellent job of blending the live actors with the cgi, some terrific designs, a lot to applaud here! Acting is variable - even leaving out the voices (in German or English dub), some can't help grinning to be in such a cool thing, despite everything supposed to be crashing around them. Good luck to all who sail in this, I hope you do get to develop it further.

There is much about the film that I liked and I hesitate to criticize. That said, the weak link was acting. Writing and story was good, sets and costumes were excellent, and animations top-notch.

Hussars are epic cause they are humans with wings ,they are always amazing.
Steampunk Polish Dragon Hussars. The Poles were the ones that had those wings attached to their horse.

Awesome material!!! Why can't the Sci Fi (refuse to label that sissy "SyFy" bullshit) Channel come out with such innovative ideas such as these--I've had it up to my ass with zombie and vampire flicks already! SteamPunk should be the order of the day! And how about some Sherlock Holmes, Jules Verne or even HP Lovecraft to supplement the lineup?? ( PS Last show on Sci Fi akin to this was "The Adventures of Jules Verne" (or something like that) which I remember aired around 2000 or 2001.)

That is because todays sci fi is aimed at those that turn over after the kardashians! dont fool yourself that sci fi is made for the fans! its made for money and bums on seats, aimed at the knuckle dragging LCD.

Sorry, folks, I just watched this for the eleventeenth time. For the genre, this voice acting (und Tonmischung) is TOP NOTCH! Just the right amount of "epic corniness" with a video game feel. The tone fits like a glove! I LOVE the English voice work!

The acting is a bit stiff and the special effects obvious, but for an amateur production it's great. I love the designs and ideas behind it. It's absolutely worth becoming a larger production! Good luck, all the best and may your hydrogen tanks always be full!
Whilst I LOVE this genre, I cannot but regard Steampunk as jewelry to strut in.
There are items out there that work, however. Steamfired watches, levers and gears that operate function - and it is this that I am utterly in awe of.
Sadly, the vast majority are but poseurs and I simply cannot take it seriously.
However, any person who expresses themselves to be that which they see themselves as without shame, fear or embarrasment, has my sincere respect.
And it's in that which I admire those who follow this fashion.
Acting/dialogue was a little silly at times, but oh my goodness, the visuals were stunning! Great job, can't wait for the next one!
First the bad:
The acting needs a little bit of work. No biggie. A little more practice makes perfect.
Then the good:
Everything else. This is outstanding. Very well done. Very enjoyable to watch. Had to pause it a bunch of times the second time I watched it just to get a full appreciation of the detail and cinematography.
You guys did a great job. You should send this in to Netflix. They're always looking for a good idea for a new, original series and I think you guys have a winner here. I'm looking forward to your next one.

This.short movie. Was. AWESOME. There is not that much more to say than this movie literally blew my mind. I've seen SO many crappy short movies and I was actually expecting this one to be just as crappy. But it was definatly not. Great work, I'm amazed that some high corporation had funded this movie idea and hit it on the cinemas for a long movie. That would have been AMAZING.

That was an awesome feeling the only thing I can say is that sometimes the CGI is not going to act in or acting is not going with the CGI, like kind of fake, but overall it was absolutely fantastic. I'll be looking forward to see part 2.

Fantastic. I always loved the speculative/alternative history sci-fi/fantasy genres like cyberpunk, steampunk, and dieselpunk. I hope they eventually give Airlords of Airia the big budget Hollywood treatment. Just like dieselpunk masterpiece, Sky Captain started out as a short film project that was later remade as a big budget film (which sadly flopped), this little steampunk masterpiece deserves the same big budget treatment.
I thought Sky Captain did ok? It was all over the screens for months before and afterwards!
I think the English dub really adds to the character of the film. It makes it obviously foreign. And which foreign work is actually well dubbed? I love the "bad" voice work!

I know the acting is cheesy, but the Japanese style of steam punk is just that. It is almost python caliber. That being said. This is the best non main stream studio steam punk I’ve ever seen.
This... is.... GREAT!!! Just a lot of fun to watch. Loved the visuals, the action, the actors... and "The Camp" (if anybody still knows what that is). I'll be sharing it. Thanks for the up!!
What an amazing achievement. Thanks for giving a fantastic example to those of us who are trying to do the same thing. Awesome effects. Great editing. Design and costumes. As for the acting, of course the dubbing will affect how you perceive it! I was hooked and want to see more!

Makes me think of a live action anime. Reminds me a little bit of the "Last Exile."
I really liked the designs, and the costumes. The special effects and CGI were pretty cool, too.
Story wise, and acting and action.... Makes me think of anime! I like it!
Its great to see these independent films popping up.My only criticism is that I would have preferred subtitles to dubbing but that's my personally taste.
Very well dun, unimaginable beautiful crafted movie, should this be new long movie and nice story with it, it will be a champion.

the acting wasn't great but this was really entertaining! i was really into the action! the sfx were pretty good for an indie short film and i really enjoyed the overall look of the world. keep them coming!

Wow! I started watching these Sci-Fi short films from some very Talented people like you on You Tube back in February, and I have to say they are WAY more entertaining than most of the crap the networks are calling "Sci-Fi today. People like you are innovators doing Brilliant work that I believe is overlooked in mainstream media for sometimes dubious reasons. I am always wanting to see more of these "shorts" when the work is this Good. Keep up the Great Work and Thanks for sharing this!

Looks great. I really enjoyed this and I do not remember any other good steampunk movie except "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" which I really like. Would be nice to have another movie :-)

Astounding visuals!! Highly entertaining and impressive!!!
Awesome concept! I did not know that people outside of ILM had access to such great CGI. The pilot brings up MANY questions (where did the dragons come from?) but that's what a pilot is SUPPOSED to do, leave you wanting more. I read about some of the technical criticisms, and most of that is most likely attributable to lack of experience or more likely, budget. All that goes by the wayside when you involve yourself in the story! Sure, an ILM would dress it up more, but the design concept leaves little if anything to be desired. There are the usual plausible impossibles like the Admiral standing on the bridge of an airship without being blown off into the sky, but this is not the only movie to do that (Sky Captain??). TOTALLY enjoyed it, hope more is forthcoming, or this project gets picked up by a major studio, with NO loss of jobs by the original crew.

Wow, that was FUN! Visually stunning and very imaginative! Airships and DRAGONS! How cool is that?! Heck, yes, I'd love to see a full-length movie based on this premise. It would be exciting and different from most of the Hollywood dreck. Might even rank up there with Peter Jackson and LotR!
I would love to see HBO produce a "Game of Thrones" type series based around a "Steampunk" universe. True steampunk should be void of the uses of electricity

I think static electricity can be used in a steampunk universe, but electric current definitely should not.

This was definitely cool - I really enjoyed watching. I would however prefer to watch it in the original German with subtitles - I gave up on dubs a long time ago in favor of watching films in their original language. Anyway, keep up the great work!
clocutron I went through the entire thing thinking it was terrible lip-syncing until I got toward the end. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement, subtitles would have been better.
All the time, all the love, all the creativity... poured into nothing but another war movie. Nine minutes of a gun battle before I gave up. How depressing to waste such talent to produce more war.

Design and roads and cars are right out of 1935 Popular Science and Popular Mechanics. I love the cars especially! And the planes!!! That was incredible work!!! Could have had the engineer speak in a Scottish accent: "Captain, I've fixed the warp drive!" (Kidding!!) I thought the young lady was very strong, most of the men were weak. I am reminded of The Rocketman. Great fantesy, capturing Sci Fi out of the 1930's but much better!! Hope to see the whole movie some day.

The incorporation of CGI into the Mise en scene is very skilfully done. I also appreciated the slightly sardonic sense of humour. Best of all though is the retro style: the uniforms, aircraft and other paraphanalia. Reminded me a little of 'Brazil' and 'City of the lost Children'. Very imaginative and fast paced enough to keep me on the edge of my chair. Can't wait for the sequel.

As an indie filmmaker I can relate to the problems with the acting. I would've rather watched this with original dialogue. The fx and visuals were cool, a bit campy but the compositioning was great!
