As you say up to 6kph a throttle is legal without pedaling. A little known fact - throttles are legal in the UK & Europe if you are turning the pedals and the system is working through the cadence sensor. See Rad Power 250w bikes and (most) Woosh ebikes.
Fancy a project ?
The UK (not Europe) has a system where you can regester your bike for exception from the normal throttle rules and you can ride 'full throttle'. There is some paperwork and it costs about £50. If you buy a Whisper ebike they offer this service (with extra payment) on their bikes . I assume your bike would need to be a 250w system.

I know your review of the Gin X was some time ago but if you had the choice of purchasing this bike or the Gin X which would you choose??
They are very similar ebikes to ride and are both good value for the money. I prefer the look of the Hovsco A5 but the Gin X has a 48v battery and a bit more oomph. They are both very well made so it's down to personal choice.
I prefer the way the battery is removed in the A5 but the Gin has Hydraulic brakes. Buying an ebike is a personal choice and also how much assistance you think is necessary.
Are you thinking of but one of these ebikes?
@BACONBUTTTIES Yes my preference was the Gin X based off the battery size and the hydraulic brakes,can't find no other bikes in that £800-£1500 in the UK and I've been looking at ebike reviews on RUclips from yourself and others since February, the weight of bike is important as well as I have health issues. (I see Gin x also are now selling a 500w bafang motor for £1200, bit less with a discount code!!)

Does the battery have an IP level ?

You must have more bikes than Halfords 😂😂.
On the surface this bike and others like it, look ok, but they let themselves down with some of the components, which spoil the look of the bike and make it look cheap. I guess it all comes down to cost though.
Yes an affordable ebike never usually has high end components.

Pmsl. 5' 1" - 6' 7" shows the complete ignorance of the manufacturer making such a ridiculous claim, reach comes into play on bike sizing, anyway the frame in amongst the funniest designs i ever saw, being an engineer/tig welder i just don't see the point of the hole from downtube to headtube,.
I assume the hole is just a design feature. On a side note, the welds really are fantastic 😀
@@baconbuttties yes i can see the welds look spot on, just a bit daft the design imho, the frames design would be far stronger without the hole bit, great video as per usual Bacon🙃
