I've had the OG Krell since 1998, still haven’t mustered the courage to paint that badboy, one of my all time favourite models. My first ever fantasy army was Vampire Counts back they first came out as a distinct army in 1999, so I really love that original 1999 range as well as many of the earlier Undead models and I've been lucky to acquire some of those models recently like the superb mounted Wight King and the 1999 Wight on foot (looks like a knights), the Red Duke and many others.
@@Nachotaco101 Haha, oh well he will get his paintjob before he and you are in your thirties I promise! Cool that you are into older models even though you are young yourself.
Happy birthday Deetz! Those vampy credits were so great, you really made them count. Great to see you getting your teeth stuck in. Bloody good mate. (sorry, couldn't resist!)
Happy birthday Deets! Those old Undead minis are what got me into Fantasy back in the day. The 4th Edition Undead army book is one of my most treasured possessions! Cheers!
Holy shit, Happy Birthday! It's my oldest kids bday is the 25th as well! You are the only Warhammer related RUclipsr that he and I have watched together and he likes your stile! (we both do) Thanks for all you do and if you are ever in the Great State of Texas you've got a place to crash.
Happy Birthday Deets! Enjoy a cool beer and I hope you received lots of classic mini's, paints and brushes for gifts. 👍🍺Thanks for bringing us amazing content.
Happy birthday mate. I had that Mordheim vampire as my warband's leader. I agree, one of the most dynamic and interesting minis GW had done to date. I'm probably showing my age here, but my favourite dragon was always the original Trish Morrison Zombie Dragon. And so fun to paint.
I thought this Kemmler was the classic one, as i had and painted it in the 90s. Also agree on vlad and isabella and also the lahmian queen vampire with the cat mini - Bastet. Can't recall her name
Happy Birthday!! #3 is awesome. One of my all time favourites, not just from Vampire Counts, is the mounted vampire lord, sometimes known as The Red Duke. Him opposite The Green Knight is a duel of the ages...
Happy birthday!!! I really wish that minis with these early edition aesthetics were still being made. SO much character...the modern ones are REALLY nice too but are a completely different style; hyper-realistic to the point of being too much in some cases.
I bought a large bag of mixed GW bits over a decade ago that I've been using for various kitbashes over the years. A couple months ago I found a metal Necrarch head in it, and took a look at Stuff of Legends to try and find out where it came from. I sourced it to the Zacharias the Unliving model, and as I looked at the picture I realized "... I've seen the rest of this model in the bits box". So I did some digging and yup, I have the full Zacharias model, including the freaky little familiar (which is actually holding one of the Tomes of Nagash, how cool is that?). The zombie dragon is unfortunately not included, so whoever I got the bits from must have used it to convert their own Vampire Lord on zombie dragon. The model now has a separate box, and I can hear it faintly whispering sweet temptations to start and Old World Undead army.
Been watching some of your videos while building some minis, just wanted to say love your vibrant colours, real classic styling with modern techniques, awesome job
Great list, I find it interesting that you jumped back and forth between older and somewhat less-older models for your picks. Cheers and happy birthday!
Happy Birthday! Heinrich Kemmler all the way for me, especially that pointy hat version. Always loved his lore, a necromancer who became a real menace. The way Warhammer always portrayed necromancers, not as cool bone wizards, but the nasty dirty dregs of society who have stooped to necromancy... classic!
Great video and the artwork rocks! I have Krell, the #2 you painted, Isabella and the Wight King. I have a lot of old Citadel undead still in blisters as I bought more than I could field. I really liked the WHF story behind the vampires. You had the traditional Dracula type (Von Carstein), the Strigoi (nosfertu), and Egyptian themed (I can't remember their name). AOS just doesn't do as good of a job with their lore as WHF did. It makes me want to go find my books and give them a read again. Thanks!
I agree with your No. 1. One of my favourite vampires. The undead dragon has so much character. It was a lot of fun to paint back in the day. Another great video.
Happy Birthday! Classics - I love Heinrich Kemmler. But he is still waiting to be painted. I've glued him on a corpse cart not sure though, whether he stays there.
How dare you put my fave at #3! There's something about that middlehammer Kemmler model that I love, still use the mini whenever I can in games. Never got around to owning your #1 choice though, the rest I have and love. Fun video for the spooky month, love the channel
Happy Birthday. I can vouch no 3 is the best. Have several copies of the mini for some strange reason! One of Gary Morleys best sculpts. Edit: Also have the dragon. A real pain to assemble iirc (was 22 years ago). Make sure you pin and put a lot of support on the leg. Somehow I also managed that the wingtips rested on the ground and some of the weight was supported through them, more by chance than intention. Lastly going to have to dig out the mordheim vampire with the sword and paint him, been gathering dust in his plastic blister coffin for too long.

Your krell mini is 1 year older than I am XD

That old school Krell is awesome! Just screams old Warhammer
I love this old metal minis.
Happy Birthday

Thanks so much mate! Ah nice, you lucky man 👌 Love Trish’s Zombie Dragon as well. Great choice!
My boy Kemmler is a stunning mini, for me his sculpt seems ahead of its time, and he is a joy to paint. I am also partial to classic Vlad and Isabella
I thought this Kemmler was the classic one, as i had and painted it in the 90s. Also agree on vlad and isabella and also the lahmian queen vampire with the cat mini - Bastet. Can't recall her name

Yeah Im a big fan of the red duke. It would definitely be in my top 10. It’s a beauty!
Happy birthday!!!

Happy belated birthday Deets!! 🎉🎂🍰🍾🥂🥳
I love the newer Isabella von Carstein figure; how they took all the "baroque" they had in stock, and turned it up to 11. It's fantastic!
The lore behind the Von Carstein is amazing too, the never ending love after undead

Happy B, D. Have a good one!
Agreed on the Von Carstein vampire range, and doubly so for the Mordheim vampires, I own both, and they really are terrific models.
Congrats deet! I've played VC in 6th and 7th editions so a lot of nostalgia just hit me with this video :) . Love the list as well.
Been watching some of your videos while building some minis, just wanted to say love your vibrant colours, real classic styling with modern techniques, awesome job
Great video, happy birthday mate, have a great day.
Mordheim vamp is awesome
Happy birthday! And all hail Heinrich Kemmler
Happy birthday! Those old sculpts are so beautiful
Great selection and Happy Birthday!
Thanks mate!
Good choices!
Great list, I find it interesting that you jumped back and forth between older and somewhat less-older models for your picks. Cheers and happy birthday!
The Red Duke is one of my favourite warhammer sculpts of all time, the Wight King on mount is a close second
The Wight Lord on Skeleton steed has always been a favourite. I wish the manticore was still an option for VC to ride in TOW.
Happy Birthday! Heinrich Kemmler all the way for me, especially that pointy hat version. Always loved his lore, a necromancer who became a real menace. Happy birthday! We're 4 days apart haha. Another certified banger as always, Deets!
Happy Birthday!❤
GZ, have a good one and a cold one!

Wooooooo new Anvil of Doom vid
Happy Birthday Deets ❤
I have been searching for heinrich kemler, krell and the old wight king on horse for a while now they are such good minis.
Keep looking! I see them from time to time on eBay :)
I've got and painted a classic Von Carstein. Love the classic Vampire Counts.
happy birthday man 🍻

Yeah Kemmler is a real gem of a mini. Thanks mate 🍻
Take a look at the Warmaster version. The Vampire Counts sculpts are simply incredible, such great 10mm representations of the 28mm versions.
for me it's the banshee sculpt thats rushing forward, just slaps
Happy birthday mate - I'm going to have to find some oldhammer undead model now aren't I!
Thanks dude! Yeah I think it’s time 🧛♂️
Happy Birthday.

Arkhan the Black on winged chariot for me is one of the best. But Heinrich Kemmler and Krell are my favourites of all time!
Read my mind for the number 1 spot. Nice :D
Great taste 🤌
I really like 6th ed vampires. Especially non-Von Carstein ones like Lahmia and Blood Dragons.
It's all about Dieter for me. Spent ages looking at the model and scenario in the Undead book for him
Number one for me will always be Konrad von Carstein he was my first vampire counts hero
5. Seneschal Grave Guard
4. Wight Lord BSB
3. Varghulf
2. Mannfred
1. Winged Vampire Lord
Love Nagash cop out... :D
Haha it had to be done.
Shout ya a beer for your birthday. Cheers 🍺!
Too bloody kind! Thanks so much mate. You really shouldn’t have 🙌🍻🤝 I appreciate it!
@@anvilofdoomminiatures You are welcome. Enjoying the content. #3 brought back memories.
Mate have you seen any of yhe 10mm warmaster 3D minis? The quality is insane. I’d love to see a video of painting some up at some point (:
Good list.. always was a huge fan of Zacharias the everliving and the lore around him. Shame how bad the mini always was on tabletop.
Lately I've been feeling the scratch to start a vampire counts army, mostly proxis...
If I start a vampire counts army I wanna make all the vampires from what we do in the shadows. Colin Robinson will bore the enemy to death 🤣
Have a vampire called Jackie Daytona and every time you move him you need to play “Simply Irresistible”
The new Krell suffers from being early finecast so he was pretty awful.
For the Algorithm! 💪💪💪
Haha thanks mate!
That's not the original Krell. The original Krell was sculpted by Michael and Alan Perry in 1984!
im transgender
