      @ryanc2927 7 месяцев назад

      Exactly. even if the prices match a house the lending and subsequent interest is the issue. Dodge is bragging about 8% rates on their website. So let’s say On an 80k car @ msrp that is literally 7-800 dollars of hidden interest per month - ON TOP of your normal payment - which equates to that 8% or 10k annual. Let’s just say someone is SMART and has a trade in, where you’ve actually paid tax on the difference (so in a smaller amount) it is indeed foolish right now. Most people were put off because they weren’t even in the same tier of vehicle. Now Supply has caught up but demand is slow to kick back up. Wonder why that is. Maybe all These dealers can do is wait on unknowledgeable first time buyers?? Or …Maybe there isn’t any issue and this is all internet hype -- let’s discuss financing vs cash down… your rate never really mattered much whether you paid more cash down by a few thousand than if you didn’t. Facts.

    Actually they aren’t selling because indeed there are still markups out there. RUclipsr OC Motivator recently put up a video of a live call with a salesman from a Dodge dealership that was asking for a $40k markup on the Hellcats. Also! The banks aren’t being as lenient with lending due to the fact that lots of people are defaulting on their loans. The loans that the banks approved on marked up vehicles. I’m glad that this is blowing up in their face.

      70k plus for a non Jeep or Durango srt - in other words hellcat has hidden interest of appx 200 per month even if your rate is 4%. That’s why it’s bullshit. The dealers are preying on first time buyers who haven’t done the math perhaps? 8% as broadcasted on dodge website for a scat pack financed works out to be over 700 dollars a month hidden interest - ON TOP OF YOUR dealer agreed upon rate - to equate to close to 8k per year if 8% (of a 80k car)

    The last calls don't mean SH!T the interest rates are so bad. The Dealerships will have to start dropping the price like they did in 2008. Just so they can made the interest rate not so bad for a payment!!! The Mopar '23 is the only number car for collector value. The other 7 limited number cars are just a car just a limited number of them. Just different badges and a limited number made. I bought a Mopar '19 and I hate what I pay in interest a month I should not of bought it!!!

    I'm personally so glad to finally read on a publis forum, where people are finally telling the true story behind where Dodge/Mopar is heading. I have been loyal to the brand for many years. Dodge and Ram have always been my first consideration when thinking about a new or used vehicle. I recently sold my 2016 Challenger SRT 392 mainly because I didn't feel comfortable parking it anywhere for any extended amount of time. The "HOOD", and everyone knows who I'm referring to, has all but ruined the Mopar scene. The justice system has fallen flat on it's face. The criminals are taking over the driver's seat and the "Chrysler" brand, may it R.I.P. will never be the same.

      That's actually reasonable for the trim, 70k for a scatpack is what's outrageous. You see, when hellcats first dropped they were at the 70k mark, then prices bumped up just a bit before the widebody came out which was around 80k+ a little extra (without any customization) a 10k bump up isn't really that much if you have the money. It's funny how people say 90k for a hellcat is too much but people will be willing to pay double that for a supra. No hate at all, it just doesn't make any sense to me. Do you see BMW prices? I mean I get they're sports/luxury cars but some of their trims are NOT worth ANYTHING above 60k and yet you see them above that by at least 7,000-10,000 and people are still willing to buy them. I'm not defending dodge, I'm just saying that right now, since the dealers are dumbing the prices down by so much... why don't the people take advantage? I'm trying to make as much sense as possible without starting a senseless war about something so ridiculously stupid.

    I Purchased a 2016 hellcat charger and a 2016 hellcat challenger back in 2017. They were leftovers. Nobody wanted these cars. There were thousands of these leftovers nationwide at that time. I walked into the dealership and walked out with both. Both sticker over $72,000 and got them for a little over $53,000 each. even at that price in 2017 they were expensive but worth the money to me. Now fast forward to 2023 and these things are stickering roughly $25,000 more than they did in 2016/2017 yet it’s the same exact car. It is a dinosaur on the market. There is a reason why they were discontinued. They just can’t compete anymore. Lots of horsepower but no finesse. It’s finished!!! Just hang tight, between MSRP mark ups, dealer, incentives, and manufactures incentives. These vehicles will be dropping about $20,000 to get them off dealership grounds. I honestly don’t even think $20,000 is going to cut it at the moment to get them off the grounds. No one likes to read yesterday‘s news. It’s always about what’s new and these cars are still running on 1970s underpinnings. Ridiculous!!!! I think it’s still a good looking car, but I sure as hell won’t pay over $70,000 for a fully loaded hellcat. GT500 and Corvette killed Dodge! They built a vehicle that works both for track and street use and they are serious machines. Horsepower is not everything.!!! Add a recession/depression into the mix and it’s total disaster. This guy on the video seems to be under the age of 30 and probably hasn’t had to live/work through a recession. He probably won’t even have a job at this dealership in the next two months so no need to worry about selling any Dodge vehicles.

      Of course people want them. It’s just the way the word is going would someone waste money on buy a depreciating object or save money and be more responsible with there money and the end of the day it’s a car that’s gets you to Point A to Point B like any other car

    That's exactly what I paid for my 2020 Scat Pack $47k. The only way I would but a new Scat or hellcat is for MSRP price only....and even that is too much 😅

    A lot of dealers aren’t putting the markups on the site and when you call in they throw it into the deal like a “forgot to mention”. Hold steady and do not buy this crap. The prices will come down. Let them keep hurting

    I was interested in a dodge charger hellcat but I see my friends with a bmw m5 and and a gt500 and they and they do not have to be dealing with it being stolen or tampered with so that deterred me from getting a helllcat because you have to do so much just to make sure you car is still there when you get back

    I want a Camaro ss now scatpacks and hellcats nice as hell but ain’t worth it. It’s not just the pricing but all the attention it gets from the good kind and bad. I can’t even imagine having a hellcat honestly. Having to worry about people trying to steal your car or kill you to get yo car. The insurance, gas and repairs. It’s just a pass at this point for most people.

    One big issue is the banks aren’t giving loans on them. And the insurance on them has skyrocketed.

    I Truly Believe That A Majority Of People Are Just Burnt Out On The Cat & Scat! You Still Have People Who Are Fascinated With The Beast, But Just Can’t Afford Them🤔

    Human nature .. Whenever something is rare and scarced everybody wants it , if it's easy to get it becomes less desirable.. Just like the pretty baddie on your block , if She's hard to get everyone wants her , but if she becomes accessible to everyone to get then She's less desirable ...

    Plus it’s a ton of hellcats and scats still being made and that’s in these yards at the plants. I mean it’s a ton of them. I see them coming in on trucks everyday. No cap. With under plastic still on the side panel

    Took a look at a Durango R/T premium. 70k mrsp. They swore these were flying off the lots, but the one i test drove at 1200 miles and they had 3 durango hellcats just sitting. Chrysler takes 2500 off the top as an incentive this month if one finances at their 6.9% rate. I got it down 4k, but walked. That interest rate!
