Maybe just maybe you are not 100% up to date with different fillers (I wouldn`t know). But your mechanical and electrical knowledge and diagnostics are are amazing. You cannot be master of all trades. Great videos.
Mask on for that fibre glass mate.....
Your doing a great job and you have explained it well and shown the process. Great job buddy.
I would say the type of repair depends on the damage and whatever the customer is happy about and prepared to pay fore.
Enjoyed your series. I need to practice spreading filler...my last job came out really good however I must have filled ten times...
Great, simple repairs nothing fancy, Happy New year!!!
Nice work mate.
Great video mate, personally though, I wanna see a video on repairing the rear corner tops on a jumbo 2008 transit. Just so happens I have mine here if you need an example ;) . Great videos matey!
that filler looked sticky lets hope it gets better as you go thanks for all the videos for theis year and I hope you have a very happy new year
Watching this reminded me of plastering my small bathroom with Easifill 60.. fokin bubbles, getting it uneven and 💩 but looked ok in the end! 😂 Happy New Year Leon!
You should have mixed in a little bit of bodge Leon, it would have made it easier to spread and sand mate
You make it sound easy ?Happy new
You never Mix filler on Cardboard because it absorbs the all the Moisture from the Filler and Dries faster, before you can Spread it...! Always use a plastic board to Mix Filler...! 🤔🤔👍👍
My mates call it "Fury Bog" . As long as there is no movement that will be fine.
The most importent part of any repair from furry bog bodge over big holes to a perfect weld is to get the non setting rustproffing whatever in behind and into all the seams and making sure its done every year afterwards...if they had done that in the first place then all this could be totally avoided.
Surely no filler is THAT thick? 😂😂😂
Good strong repair to replace it though, done the right way in my opinion, sorted!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@bodgitandleggitgarage You Leon have far more trade skills than I will ever have or learn. Bodywork is something I have always avoided, along with electrical (having a great mechanical knowledge I find is not enough these days though). Great set of videos on body repair.
Surely the customer cost of all this work, means this repair job isn't really economically viable? Once rot has set into a Transit, there will be a need for welding every time the MOT comes around, and this makes sense if its £100 on patching, for another years use, but £600-700, and very likely more money on welding the next MOT comes around, needs some careful thought.
At least buddy
Let’s say £90 per hour
The hours into this job , I’d like to know . Way more than that
Messy and labour intensive also a fire hazard .
All this on a end of life vehicle not worth a lot
It’s no wonder my old Boss . Would sub out any welding repairs to a body shop
@@benmayne7910 As I said, if you can scrape through an MOT with £100 worth of patching, it's worth doing, but the cost of this lot is probably going to be more than the van is likely to be worth.
It's also tying up a ramp, for the best part of a week, and that alone is probably going to mean losing money.
Why are you so concerned about money? It truly does not make any sense. You are not paying one single penny for this. You are watching a free video. It makes no difference to you how much this cost. If you watch all the videos properly, you will see this is my dad's Van. And the repair cost was 0. But that has absolutely nothing to do with anything these videos are to helpful. Even if someone's put a 100000 pound into this, it's no business of yours. It's not your money get over it.
Just interested in how many hours
Into the job . No offence meant
That filler doesn’t look right looks too sticky
Year lol
Fk sake Leon it’s like a dogs dinner 🤣
Ya should have bodged it and legged it with a quick welding butt job. Even the previous video aswell, you’re not going to get payed for the amount out time and effort put in, and let’s be honest, it’s a rusty transit ffs 😆 not a mk1 escort lol
