Oh man, amazing how after someone else got injured and sued a rich person for damages, two other people suddenly claim the same thing happened to them. Whoa whoa whoa, it's magic!

It must be tough being so cynical.

Yeah it happens to a lot of people once one comes out others do as well I’m just making the observation that it’s obvious though it’s not magic you are being miss construed as being cynical because of the obvious sarcasm

The real crime is that Copperfield hasn't changed his hairstyle since the 80's

I was part of "13" years ago. Trust me, there is no need to rush anyone anywhere. David and the stagehands can ad lib for another minute or two if need be. Provided you've never been part of the trick, you'd have no clue how soon the participants exit the stage once the curtain is lifted. Everyone is gone within about 30 seconds. I'm not saying the 'ole British chap wasn't injured, I'm saying maybe he bit off more than he could chew so he'd be in the show. David should have settled out of court.

Yeah when you participate in an illusion you sign a contract that makes you not reveal the secret.

@@sterlthepearl1000 If you sign and then reveal the trick, get ready for a major lawsuit that David Copperfield would win. It would clearly affect his image and income if the trick were revealed ...A bit too late now, but that wasn't due to the participant leaking the trick! :-)

I was part of this illusion when he performed in Dallas some years ago. After we were selected but before I went on stage an assistant asked me "Can you run? Can you climb stairs? and Do you have any physical impairments?" So you know that there is going to be some physical aspect to the trick. But I never felt like I couldn't do what they were asking. It was all very safe. When we appeared at the back of the theater the effect was spectacular! And great fun! And I have a great story to tell!!

You cant "reveal" something that everybody already knows. There's only ever been one way to do this trick, so it's not like anybody was stumped. The enjoyment of the trick came from Copperfields' presentation, not from some mystery about how it worked.

I don’t even understand how this would be Copperfield’s fault anyway? The property doesn’t belong to him. Those injuries seem excessive, maybe he wasn’t in such great health after all. I once saw a man fall at Disney World because the exit to a ride had a slight slope to it. He was walking toward an ECV so obviously he had some sort of mobility imitation. It was daylight and you couldn’t tell the slope was even there. It almost got me once too, which was scary because I have bad knees.

Chances are they picked some old people witch was one problem never rush an old person and if this did happen it’s probably the stage hands who rushed people David probably blissfully unaware as be there probably fired
