Wow. I have read about these Robert-Houdin mystery clocks in two books already (Joshua Jay's "How Magicians Think" and David Copperfield's "History of Magic"). I'm so glad that I get to see one in this video!
You know what I find most magical about David Copperfield? The dude does not age! I am in my 30s, saw a show of his as a KID, and I swear he looks THE SAME. Incredible. Hey cool stuff, too. Thanks for uploading this! :)
I met him after a performance several years ago here in upstate NY. He is personable, down to earth, thoughtful, amazing, tall, dark, and handsome, and gives GREAT HUGS. I have been to two other performances and am still fascinated with his illusions.🙂

His magic is beyond technology. He gets assistant from supernatural and evil forces specifically Jinns (devils). Jinns can take the form of human for example your dead uncle or husband or parents. It is a sin to get any assistant from Jinns It is mentioned in the bible and holy quran. David has to submit to Jinns instead of God therefore it carries a sin. He will not disclose this to the people. David himself does not have any tricks or anything.
He is so clever that you have made wrong conclusion that he works with the devils. So funny. Just search on RUclips. Many of his tricks are already reveled by other magicians. They are all damn simple and explainable.

Devils dont exist. Dont be stupid. This is all careful engineering and illusion
