*I used to fish with a Crippled Killer growing up in the 50/60’s and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend think this lure gas a smoother propeller action. It is a great surface lure.*
I'm just learning saltwater, been fishing freshwater for nearly 40 years, these are great tips about what to use, when what to look for, thanks for your help!
this channel might be the very best for a coastal american angler starting out. john skinner is a great one as well. both guys really know their way around a coastline and how to fish it. still, the best way to learn how to fish is to do it consistently. short, frequent trips are usually what becomes practical for most of us. once you get dialed in you'll get a lot more bang per hour out of your trips. car ready, spots winds and tides checked and familiarized, plugs ready, etc. turns a 3 hour trip into a 2 hour one, and becomes something you can do before or after work on most days if you really dedicate yourself to it.
Nice video! Beautiful conditions! Smaller topwaters with a medium power inshore rod and light braid has been getting the job done for me in calmer backwaters and smaller tidal rivers and creeks in western CT, where peanut bunker and larger young bunker have been very thick. Texas rigged weightless Super Flukes used as subsurface twitch baits are also getting lots of attention. Recently landed a fat and heavy 28.75" keeper with a 4" Noeby bottle neck using 8 pound braid on a 6'6" inshore rod.
Love the top water blowup. The only thing better is last second surf lip hookup when you're not expecting it. It reminds you to never give up on the cast until the lure is out of the water.
you prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Kairo Raiden Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey fishaholic I fish in the belmar area of New Jersey in and around Monmouth county. There’s stripers by these Bridges that lead into a back bay and there is tons of bass around them that are constantly blowing up on baitfish. However they are finicky and are hard to get to bite. Any tips on what to do to get more hits?
FishAholic Fishing I’m so happy you replied thank you it honestly made me so happy I watch all your videos as soon as they come out and I like them all I’m a huge fan and a huge fisherman you always have to make time to go out to the waters and most importantly never forget live to fish, fish to live
Watching from Davao city Philippines, I really like your channel sir! By the way what is the set up that you are using? Thank you and more vid to come!
@@FishAholicTV any difference between Korker Spikes and any other spikes? I assume Korker is one of your sponsors, correct? Btw, I truly enjoy watching your videos, you showing the lures you use, and your explanations as to why you use them. Thanks
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Love the top water blowup. The only thing better is last second surf lip hookup when you're not expecting it. It reminds you to never give up on the cast until the lure is out of the water.
Nice catch 👍
That follow the leader action was awesome and blowups topped it off

Water super clear back bay has been schoolie heaven creek chub knuckle head junior been doing the job.....awesome trip
You the man dude 💯💯 Subscribed
I've had bass follow a hooked bluefish, waiting for the upchuck that usually happens.
I am a beginner. Would you suggest a good spinning rod and a reel and a lure with their model names (on amazon for example)?
Medium rod or medium heacy
I was trolling umbrella rigs and i caught 4 schoolies on one and then caught 2 blues and a bass on another it was a great day.
What are the specs on the carbon shield that you are using
hey what power and action is the rod ?
medium fast action
Great vid! What line are you using on the 3000 reel?
💕💕💕💕Nice video 👏👏👏
Do you reccomend this reel for like inshore fishing for trout and stuff ?
do you ever fish any back bays in Jersey
Thank u
Where is this beach??
Rich, what size rod do you have? 7ft medium? And how much lb braid are you using?
Great video thanks Question why don't you use snapclips for changing your luirs ?
Henry
Sometimes I use them sometimes I don’t. When I’m fishing really clean water and throwing smaller topwater plugs I sometimes don’t use clips.
Nice fishing hi from puertorico
Love this video and the place.
Crazy fish out there ;-)
Watching from Perth Australia, awesome video where can I buy that lure from please.
Hi, I do not understand what to say but I can ask you why the fish catch and then return it to the water
Because he isn't overfisher like you
What kind of braid u throwing on the 3000
good stuff ... know that spot well
What is the size and action of your tsunami carbon shield II? It’s not listed in the description. Thanks for making these vids!
Medium heavy
Don't you slip out of those mossy rocks while casting? Or do you use spikes on the bottom of your shoes?
Korker Spikes Always
@@FishAholicTV any difference between Korker Spikes and any other spikes? I assume Korker is one of your sponsors, correct? Btw, I truly enjoy watching your videos, you showing the lures you use, and your explanations as to why you use them. Thanks

How do you like the reel overall? Maybe do a review/comparison video?
It’s a great Reel I really like the drag and the reels handle knob. Has a really smooth easy retrieve
Maybe I’ll do a review though thanks for letting me know.
Safety first brother
Bass and Pacific rock fish look a lot a like.. Of course pacific rock fish are much more tasty!
Once again great vid. Question: what model mojo surf rod you have for your vs? I think it was a 9’ MHM or MM but not to sure.
Great video! Is the Tsunami Shield medium or medium-fast?
Medium heavy
What's the setup on the fishing pole please. I'm a BiG fan...

2:24 hookup..... Please like!
Would you recommend a penn battle ii 5000 with a 9 ft medium power surf rod? If so, why?
Louis 4000
Fishin PA why a 4000 over a 5000?
Louis lighter and no need for that line cap and drag for stripers in the surf
Fishin PA I’ll take that Into consideration, thanks
Spheros 5 or 6k
As soon as I saw the color of that plug, I knew the manufacturer in China!
Wow
B.C.M. lurs☠️
nice
You cast with your right hand, handle the rod left handed, and reel with right hand. WEIRD!!!!!
aye first
Quality video is bad sorry
Blah, blah but can't be bothered to say where you're fishing. SMH.
