This was very informative, I couldn't figure out how to connect the rear as the axle doesn't come with the link mount. I saw at 8:02 where you said to take the 2 screws out of the old diff and use it on the new axle. I was lost at this point until watching your video. Thanks and your suggestion of not tightening the wheels was helpful also.
If I understood Jeff correctly, they should be shipping with brass in a few weeks. I asked for cvds too. We’ll see! Thanks brother. Hope you have a great week!
I have run mine for a long while on the stock motors. I just recently installed the Furitech micro kamodo withe the lizard pro esc. on my c10. Injora gearbox with the .3 mod and the injora axles featured here. The slow speed control is ridiculous.
Good tip for the wheel nuts being to tight .. If u cut the the 2 ears off the hex u can tighten the nut all the way to the locking ruber on the nut also gives u a tad more thread if u need it
if its anything like my experience will hub spacers on stock axles its EXTREMELY easy to go to far and have tons of wheel wobble and its an huge time consuming task making sure you only take off a little at a time, at least once you get close to the goal. i did 8 total and i only got one right, its that hard.
I would like to see the overdrive optional meaning you would get both gears. Mofo portals will mount up to these as well, rear axle screws are horizontal
Mofo's rear portals won't work with them unless he makes longer inner shafts for these housings. Fronts should work, since they utilize the axles inner dog bone.
i switched out the front one on mine bc i kept breaking the dog bone and couldn’t consistently find cvds with a longer shaft i still run the injora rear but now run a stock width front housing w some really durable cvds that iv seen on amazon from a couple companys mine r from rampcrab but there much thicker at the joint. my komodo even broke mofos spring steel cvd but these have been holding up
Yeah I broke pretty much all of them. That’s why I went to the fcx axles. Haven’t broke any of those and been doing stupid stuff with them for 6-8 months lol
after 5 months with them what do you think? i have had them for a couple of weeks now, (im some what new to the hobby) i didnt know to put that blue thread stuff on every bolt................. an lost the bottom two front knuckle screwes an one brass washer that the screw held in lol took me a weeek to get intouch with injora an they say there shipping extra hardware now. an it was a absoulte mess trying to tell a Amazon/injora woman what im missing lol soo take that for what it is lol
Worm gears lock up the truck as soon as you let off the throttle. That’s why every high powered Scx24 stops on a dime & flips as soon as you let off the throttle. Not fun for a truck with a 2 speed transmission that can fly in high gear lol
If running Scx24 axles these are a great option. I prefer fcx24 axles on all of mine now but they don’t have straight axles in those yet so these are still a great option imo
hey matt? think you could do a comparison between the scx 24 and proline ambush 24? l purchased the proline like 2 yrs before axial put out the 24. ambush has leaf springs but the same axles. jusy curious as to how many of the parts will swap out. im currently machining my own frame design and skid plate to change over to 4 link. would love to send you a photg?
I honestly don’t own a proline ambush. I thought about buying one yrs ago but had a Redcat sumo that was pretty fun so I didn’t bother. I may keep my eye out for one on eBay or something. Wouldn’t mind having one just to sit on the shelf if nothing else lol
Hi Matt, any chance you could please tell me the correct hex driver size for the SCX24 Bronco? The screws seem smaller than what i had on my Wrangler last year and i dont want to order the wrong size, also the correct size of nut driver for the wheels please. Thanks man.
The screws should be the same size on any of the scx24s. I use the MIP .05 for mine. The wheel nuts are a 4mm and Rc4wd has a great little tool for those but they seem to be backordered atm. I’ll see if I can find one somewhere. The rc4wd tool actually comes with their 1.0 wagon wheels and it’s what I use all the time. Here’s the MIP tool I use. It’s pricey but great quality. bit.ly/3oc69uy
I would say these are excellent high-quality but have to run at about 30% power to not break the dog bones does anyone know of any CD's or dawgbone upgrade to fix this?
Don't put these in a brushless system and stay off the rocks. I think even a harsh drag brake could snap these. I don't want to throw mine away so I ordered a set of replacement shafts. Those are broke so I ordered 4 more sets 4 extra for front and 4 extra for back.
That’s the main reason I quit running scx24 axles for a long while. The mofo x15s and iso axles have been pretty tough for me so far. All of the rest I’ve ended up snapping in the long run.
Thanks for the reply, especially so long after the video. Ill check out those others when I need some. These +4 are really good on my Injora buggy though with perfect overdrive. Too bad about the weakness of them but they are easy to replace. I'll probably spend more on shafts than the full shebang though. @@2fmrc
Fcx24s 😆 anything without the worm gears at this point lol. Nah I’m just kidding. Honestly I usually run stock plastic axles with overdrive, cvds and brass steering knuckles. I like how these are widened already though. That’s nice because I always run wideners as well. I’ll have to get some run time with these but I like what they offer so far!
@@braelighty6212 yes. I’m gonna put some fcx24 axles on an Scx24 soon. Just gotta get the time to do it. May take a little work on the links but it can be done fairly easily.
$70 (from there website, more on that later) and for $15 more you can get 1/10th portal with lockers. how the hell do these tiny ass parts cost so much? based on that logic you would expect, if they ever made them, 1/24th portals with or without lockers to be well above the price of 1/10 portals with lockers. also no ones gonna pay $70 and wait a month for their parts to arrive from china, they will pay the $75 and get it in 2 weeks. thats bullshit by its self, why does it take 2 weeks from amazon when all their other stuff takes 2 days? it makes no sense and its bullshit. also, is red really the only color they come in????
They just released them so they haven’t hit all the suppliers in the US that can get them here in a couple days. Give it a couple wks and you can get them quicker I’m sure. I agree these parts shouldn’t cost so much. Look at the fcx24 axles. Complete portal axle for $12.99! It has plastic gears but who cares at that price lol. When portal axles that are complete garbage for these trucks are running $80-100 I think these are a pretty good price honestly. The popularity of the scx24 has drove the price of parts too high imo. People are releasing wheels for $80-100! Just because they know they can cash in. That’s just dumb! I’ll take my $25 amazon special wheels. They also have other colors coming so calm down 😆
Good reminders for the new guys…
Just ordered these for my child's Gladiator. Excited, they look like quality kit!

Heck yeah, been waiting for this for a while! I can't wait to get a set of these, just waiting for the all black ones.
Love these axles. I only wish Injora made steering links in the longer size in different colors.
They look great mine should arrive in a couple of days. Great video as usual 👍
Yeah great upgrade appreciate you sharing
If I understood Jeff correctly, they should be shipping with brass in a few weeks. I asked for cvds too. We’ll see! Thanks brother. Hope you have a great week!
I couldn't wait. I'm without a front housing so I ordered a couple up. Should be here by the end of the week 🤞
@@Hi_Doctor_Nick
Nice! They look pretty!
Those look neat! Also I picked up one of those rubber mats a while back when I saw you using one and it’s the best thing ever!
Heck yeah! Love that mat!
Link to the mat please. So tired of these microscopic parts disappearing.
I just bought these waiting on them to come in
Nice, Im still waiting on him to finish the all black ones. I would love to see a plastic one as well.
Yes sir!
Yeah all black will look good for sure!
I was thinking a plastic one tooo.

also, i was waiting on someone to do a video of these axles
Yeah they have all black coming soon and I’d say there will be plenty others.

Yeah I assume everything that mounts past the inner shaft will work. Outer axle shafts and all should work!
Mofo's rear portals won't work with them unless he makes longer inner shafts for these housings. Fronts should work, since they utilize the axles inner dog bone.
Now that's an idea 💡 🤔
@@2fmrc I have an idea

Will work for spare parts. 😎
I bet these would help with the stability of my atv conversion of a deadbolt since it has a new body and action figure on top.

I wonder if axial will start putting in the v2 electronics in the Deadbolt or the c10 anytime soon
I would think so. Maybe that’s why they clearanced some for $99 awhile back. That’s where I got this one in the vid lol
If they offered them in plastic, or at least a less gaudy color scheme i would be interested.
I would have to paint them brown or something lol
Can you explain why you dont want worm gears on the Fcx4? Im not familiar with how the Fcx axle is setup. These look really cool.
Worm gears lock up the truck as soon as you let off the throttle. That’s why every high powered Scx24 stops on a dime & flips as soon as you let off the throttle. Not fun for a truck with a 2 speed transmission that can fly in high gear lol
I was killing my fingers the other day building the high clearance links for my C10.

If you were to build a SCX24 4WS comp build, which wheel base would you go for?
Probably gladiator length. I like the long wheelbase.
Can you install them on the geek gladiator..?
I would say these are excellent high-quality but have to run at about 30% power to not break the dog bones does anyone know of any CD's or dawgbone upgrade to fix this?
14:35 i would rather take the penalty in how much less they slide over obstacles and have the weight advantage that doesnt add rotating mass.
True. I’d just run plastic housings and brass steering knuckles if I cared about the rotating mass though. Plenty of weight and still slides better.
