Brilliant video! Nicely paced and informative commentary over a well shot and edited video. Based on this, I've bought one and am using it in my 40l (fish) tank very happily. Thank you! 🙏

This one is great. I use it together with a mini airlifter for my 6gallons shrimp tank. It is so quiet that you have to stop breathing to hear it. Combined with the airlifter I thought it was too small and weak at the first moment. But after a few minutes it created a very light but constant stream inside the tank. Perfect.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this air pump Tina. I intend to attach this pump to a volcano ornament for both aeration and decor

Can we plug it to a mini sponge filter for a 5g tank?

Great but I think you made an unfair noise comparison where the hygger one has a tube connected and the other one without. It makes A HUGE difference (maybe biased because hygger sent you one?). I have that air pump myself and it’s okay but could be more silent than actually advertised

Good review! However if you DO plan on using this with sponge filter I would highly recommend 2+ for anything above 10gal, the flow is just too weak. Amazing pump though

Interesting video, do you think this could be used with a non return valve so that the pump could be placed in a cabinet rather than on the side of the aquarium - or would this slow down the flow somewhat?

I did try a non return on mine and it was okay. It did reduce the output but only a bit and tbh my non returns are pretty rubbish, so if you could get a good one I’m sure it would be fine. I didn’t want to include that in the video as I really don’t know about the ceramic plates, the added resistance might reduce their working life for example - or it might not, I have no idea 😅

I personally use it for non planted tanks with moderate flow

@@Constantine_Cvl8 I use a combination of pumps and surface skimmers to turn over the surface of the water. I enjoy the complete silence of the tanks.
