There are is a song by Michael McDonald live and both his sisters sing background, eldest is Maureen and youngest is Sara who is an M.D. but the family raised with jazz and Gospel got Michael to where he is today. Michael McDonald set many a heart aflutter back in the day. The hair is now completely white but he still has the same effect.
The Doobie Brothers were already wildly successful before he joined the band & of course the hits streak continued with him. And he continued to have hits later in his solo career.

Huge hits with the great Tom Johnston as lead singer, very different from Michael but very popular beloved songs with his voice out front.
