Nice review ! Just bought this lens a week ago, to complete my 50mm, can only confirm everything you are saying on the sharpness. May i ask you what is your strap, it looks extremely soft for a braided leather. Cheers !
Thank you for your kind words, the strap i’m using is the whip strap from barton 1972
That's actually a v5 Elmarit. It is the first aspherical. The only difference between aspherical v1 and v2 is the lens hood.
Dammit I just realised I left out saying “asph” v1. Thank you for pointing it out
Apart from the different hood, the v2 is actually a tad sharper on digital and higher resolution sensors
That is what I heard too. But, is it worth upgrading to the v2? Or even buying the v2 with many cheaper v1 available in the market.

the only difference between the elmarit and summicron is the size and F2.8 to F2 aside from that they are both sharp and find difference between the two. 28mm F1.4 Summilux is the beast and nice leica look rendering. but the weight is not a good thing about it but if you have a money to spend and can you use it no problem.
I have a silver asph 28 cron v1 in my hands now. Hoping for the f2 cron look..

Tried both. I prefer the Elmarit for better micro contrast for that 3d pop. Not by much. The voigt is a great lens too.. Just a matter of preference.
@@robbiesumantri indeed contrast is amazing for daylight. Between voigt 28 1.5 and simera which one do you prefer? Any plan for comparison video between these 2 lenses bro? Im a fan of 28 myself, tried the simera its amazing but havent tried the voigt 1.5, its feels smaller and with normal focusing tab but heard that image quality is not as good.
@@coey31 hmm I don’t like the simera design. Bigger, pointless infinite lock, uneven aperture ring and the notch at 0.7m. I much prefer the voigt design but I like the optics on the simera a lot more.. i’ll compare them when I get the chance to 🙏🙏🙏 thank you for stopping by..
