Thanks so much, and God bless you! I am a beginner to the world of crochet. I am going to be a great grandmother and wanted to make a blanket that is simple but beautiful . This is an answer to prayer!!
I love listening to audiobooks and crocheting. I'm retired and just picked up crochet again. The last (and only) thing I made was a can holder in 1974...
Thank you Bonnie for this beautiful baby blanket video. I have searched far and wide for a #5 weight yarn pattern I can make for charity. But most of the time when it says bulky all I can find it #6 weight patterns. I prefer #5 weight yarn. It is easier on my hands. I am thrilled and I am starting this blanket today !! Thank you again and bless you!
Very pretty! 🥰 I'm going to make this one for sure. Thank you for another beautiful quick and easy baby blanket.🤗 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day 💖 🙏🏻
I am new here.Thank you for this tutorial on this baby blanket.I appreciate the simplicity of it.I have never tried chunky yarn, but I will give it a try. Thanks Again.Much love and blessings !😊
I'm going to make a baby blanket soon for someone. And I seen this and it Possibly be the one I Choosefor my blanket.Thank you bonnie. My blanket. should look good with the burnett baby softy With this nice beautiful stitch
Thank you for showing how to make this blanket. I love how you use a black background so we can see the stitches being made. My stepdaughter is going to a baby shower and this is the blanket. I am making her to take. Thank you again. The blanket is beautiful.
Hi Bonnie! I do love all the fancy blankets I've been working on! My baby feet blankie is almost there. Woot. Ever have a project that you actually love but somehow it keeps being put on the back burner? You really have no explanation. I think between the shawls, blankets, hats that all are very detailed designed I keep going for something I don't have to think about. Lol I'm even doing your cables mittens. Lol need gloves to match my hat, scarf, sweater, leg warmers. Omg lol. This blanket will be perfect for me -- everyday blankets coming right up! I am making crib size so about double in size! Oh for those that don't have size 5 yarn I'm doubling to weight yarn. Dk and finger weight are my favorites. Not totally sure if two do makes 5 weight. But close enough!
There really is no wrong here about the yarn weights! Hope you enjoy this one. For the record I also have a project that I enjoy but keep moving it to the back burner. Hope I get it done before the winter though!
I noticed your skein was 100 yards or thereabouts. I have a skein that is over 200 yds. How many skeins do you think I would need to do this baby blanket? I'm starting out with two.
So I bought this yarn but it's a bigger skein. I believe it has 218 yards per skein and I have three skeins. I guess if I double the length of the chain mine should end up being 48x48, right?
So when I did it with an even number of chains I had one left over. I didn't odd number of chains and I had the exact amount. I don't know if I could have messed up twice?
@@lindsyhoward2470 it is the space created by the chain between the single and double crochet. You should be able to put your finger into the space. In other words, don’t work in the chain alone (as you would in a foundation chain) but in the larger space created.
@@squeekee35 Not a problem at all! I didn't take it that way. I too can have opinions on something, especially crochet styles, which is why I don't do everything. Definitely seek what you enjoy the most and spend your time there. Life is so short - especially once you reach my demographic (over 60).

Another wonderful "easy peasy" blanket and looks so soft and cuddly!!! 😊 Thank you Bonnie ❤️
My pleasure Missy!
I need to get my hands on some of this yarn. My 4 month old granddaughter would look adorable with a blanket like this!!! 🤩
Really any yarn in your stash can work for this. The multiple is 3 + 1 if you need to make it wider.
@@BonnieBayCrochet true, but I like the bits of color here and there. ☺️
Nice blanket. I like your yarn choice.
Yet another lovely pattern.
This is sooo BEAUTIFUL! Also, you explained it and showed the stitches very well. Thank you so much. This is BRILLIANT ❤! THANK YOU❤!

Thank you Maria!
Thanks for showing the beautiful yarn! You're such a great teacher Bonnie. Can we do a bigger blanket & if yes what the chains will be?
Thank you! Any multiple of 3+1 works for this design!
Thank you for this very detailed explanation video! If I want to make this bigger, can I double or triple the 64 starting chain?
Just add multiples of 3 to the starting chain.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Would this work with a #6 chunky?
Great question. It should work, but will be pretty chunky. Maybe try a small swatch and see what you think?
In row 2, I’m having a hard time identifying which stitches are the chain stitches that I should be working into.

What are the multiples?
The multiples are 3 + 1, and are mentioned in the video.
3 + 1
Can you please zoom in on the stitch and name the stitch used?
I don't like the wattle stitch. It is messy
I love the woven stitch
Then feel free to skip and look for something you do like! Life is too short to spend it doing something messy!
