i've been binging youtube simpsons clips, and this is WAY funnier than i remembered. i guess i got ruined by all the more recent stuff and forgot how great it used to be.
I have a theory that the biggest problem of simpson episodes post-seasons 9/10 is the pacing. It feels so unnatural. Zero pauses between lines of dialogue like there were in seasons 1-10. Watching Simpsons after this season is like standing in front of a joke assembly line. Like, yeah, sometimes the jokes are funny, but they're always delivered so poorly. You gotta lose yourself in the moment, man.
