- In no particular order, here are some funny scenes from the Golden Era of The Simpsons. From Moe being interrogated about the shooting of Mr. Burns to Homer's desire to claim disability, I thought these scenes were zany and absurd.
Scene 1 - "Bart after Dark" - Season 8, Episode 5
Scene 2 - "The Cartridge Family" - Season 9, Episode 5
Scene 3 - "Who Shot Mr. Burns, Pt 2" - Season 7, Episode 1
Scene 4 - "Bart of Darkness" - Season 6, Episode 1
Scene 5 - "Mom and Pop Art"- Season 10, Episode 19
Scene 6 - "Mountain of Madness" - Season 8, Episode 12
Scene 7 - "Homer and Apu" - Season 5, Episode 13
Scene 8 - "Home Sweet Homediddly Dum Doodily" - Season 7, Episode 3

"5 DAYS? But I'm mad now!" I died. 😄
The funny thing is that that's exactly the purpose of the waiting period he's complaining about lol
@@WhiteSlift hahahahah
@@WhiteSlift That was my point.
And luckily no one else did
Quoting that line in an actual gun shop will get you a request to leave. Don't ask how I know.
“Le Grill? What the hell is that?!!!” Might be my favorite Simpson line ever!
Marge:” is Homer finished yet?”
Homer:(Screaming)
Bart:” Oh yeah, he’s finished.”
Actually in French its Grille
Even though it might not even be the french word "Grille" it could just be the name of the product
Busty St Claire or Chesty Le Rou!
Mine too😂😭
I like the fact there are wheels in a fully static grill
"I'd kill you If I had my gun"
"Yeaaa well you don't"
😂😂😂
The delivery on that line is so good.
Only at Bloodbath and Beyond! Such a great visual gag.
Whoa careful there, Annie Oakley
Loudener… 😅
“You have selected…regecide!” 😂 I mean, there is more brilliance in each of these scenes than in entire seasons of the show after the “golden years.”
There is some sort of unexpected gold to have an American police call state regicide in a country without royalty
"If you know the name of the king or queen being murdered press one!"
Man I tried a later season episode and it wasn’t that bad. Early simpsons was just fire
I'm going to say with admiration that 1:53 showed a parodied episode of Rear Window, which I loved watching. If you think the telescope or broken leg gave it away, you are the winner!
I love the episode where Moe keeps on lying to the lie detector about his evening plans
Who shot mr burns
Lies again? Major Master Mad Funny
Me to
It's genius
I like when Homer goes to register for Mayor, and the clerk tells him "Ok, but this is the line where you register as a sex offender" Moe walks in and says "Ahhh there's always a line!"
"I don't want to live anymore!!!" tries to eat Qwik E Mart hot dog 😂😂😂
"NO APU IT'S NOT WORTH IT!"
I miss apu in the systems
@@jonathanmontejano3002 Never forgotten.
@@jonathanmontejano3002 oh yeah they removed Apu for zero reasons
@@noobgun12 cause it wad racist to the indu i mean i understand believe me but then..why is that dude with the bee costume there? He could be considered a racist stereotype for hispanics and no one has complained or has even a mention of him beeing removed
The pricing gun gag is fantastic.
5 days but I want it now🤣🤣🤣
NO APU IT'S NOT WORTH IT!
Apu trying to poison himself by eating a hotdog 😂😂😂😂😂
"Why is life so hard? Why must I fail at every attempt at masonry?"
Why is a wristwatch on that block of wood? Homer wasn't even wearing one.
What's more, why does a brick BBQ fixed in concrete need wheels.
@@jq747 Sooo..your saying you don't have a mobile concrete BBQ pit like the rest of us?
Anyone notice his shoe was in there as well?
"The wood block's connected to my, wristwatch"
Actually, I think Dr. Nick sang "The arm bone's connected to the, something. The something's connected to the, red thing. The red thing's connected to my wristwatch"
to keep the time, duhh
Rubbing a sandwich on the wall, causing it to go invisible due to grease, and then a bird smacking into it is the greatest sequence I’ve ever seen
“Eat around the banana, Dad. It’s just empty vitamins!”
The gun store name is "Bloodbath & Beyond". Man, this show is great.
Well, it used to be.
Was
Don't forget "Sneed's Feed and Seed" (formerly Chucks)
"Smoke on The Water" can be seen from the docks in some scenes. Favorite of mine is "The Texas Cheesecake Depository"
@@NotthatbrandonThe joke is that "sneed", "feed" and "seed" are all words that rhyme, and thus, the former name of the store would have been "Chuck's Feed and Seed".
At least Abe was kind enough to show genuine concern for Bart working there...
More concern than he ever showed Homer at that age
@@fridchikn Homer at Bart's age was a mama's boy. He didn't get more bolder till Highschool. Flashbacks generally show Abe trying more after becoming a single father.
Yeah. But he asks his own grandson "Is your name Bart?", and it's not like Abe hadn't seen his grandson many of times before
@@IN-tm8mwThat's true, I've seen that too.
Also, how could Abe not recognize his own grandson, even for a few seconds? Asking him "Is your name Bart?"
@@alvexok5523 Grandpa recognized him almost immediately, that's why he walked out in the first place, he was just shocked and HAD to ask just to make sure he wasn't seeing things.
I love when Bart looks into the camera at 9:10
You do know there is no camera there right?
I never noticed that! That’s great! 🤣
“He’s just gonna keep going, isn’t he?”
@@justi139it’s a 4th wall break
@@justi139 you do know youre mentally inept right?
Ha ha - “I don’t have to be careful... I have a gun.”
That one line had me laughing out loud.
My favourite line delivery in the entire series is Moe's utterly defeated ".....Sears catalogue."
"WHY MUST I FAIL IN EVERY ATTEMPT AT MASONRY!?!?
This kills me every time XD
Yessir, that’s one mighty fine barbecue pit,
WHY DOESN’T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT?!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Ned.. have you thought about one of the other major religions? Eh, they’re pretty much the same.” 💀
"Bony old behind... bony old behind... bony old behind..."
"Why thank you, Simpson."
XDDDD
I think the snow setting and repeating phrase reminded me of another favorite moment, homer skiing with stupidsexyflanders. "Nothin' at all...nothin' at all..."
“Give me that weiner!!! No Apu, it’s not worth it!!” 😂😂😂🤣
"I don't want to live anymore!"
Cut the best bit from the bbq scene, is your father done? *screams* yeah hes done 😂😂😂
Pushy kids think they can tell me what to do in my house, classic homer line, lol 🤣😅😂
if your being murdered please stay on the phone🤣🤣🤣
Marge kicked me out
Guy thinks he’s so big cuz he’s gotta lotta guns
@@raven4k998 "You have chosen Regicide, if you know the name of the King or Queen being murdered ......".
The way apu says ‘I don’t want to live sir’ 🤣🤣🤣
Oh man, you left out the part with the grill where Homer charges like a damn Spartan with the umbrella and stabs it lol
Dont forget how he screams 😂😂
Yep he’s finished
7:32- “Assal horizontology” - I’ve used this line ever since I first saw this episode. Never fails to crack me up.
I love how defeated he is to finally admit "SEARS catalog.."
“I don’t deserve this kind of treatment!” 🚨
"I dont deserve this kind of shabby treatment!"
*Loud negative buzz*
Damn lol
Le grille, what the hell is that, classic 👍🤣🤣🤣
What the fuck is a Ristorante
Homer:” English instructions drying! Must use French side!”🤣🤣🤣🤣

Omg, this skit was genius.
@@christophermurphy1024 For real, I imagine the creators all hanging out in a squat pad with not a single piece of copper in the entire property, sitting in a circle smoking crystal meth out of the same pookie/meth pipe but each individual having there own lighter... y'know what I'm talking about blood?!?!!?
Growing up in the 90s being 10 years old and watching this show it was the goddamn best
9 scenes isn't enough to capture the entire golden era.
i wonder could chat gpt recreate the goodness of the golden simpsons era?
@@tedcrilly46 What's "chat gpt" ?
@@music-channel69 its a type of bicycle.
@@tedcrilly46 How would a bicycle be able to do that? I thought it was like some film group.
@@music-channel69 It's a pretty clever bicycle.
0:31 lol loudener
Personal favorite. I've used it a couple times and it always gets a double-take.
Apu was such a great character
That meme at the beginning makes so much more sense when you know where barts working at
Simpsons night in the 90s was the best night of the week. Often my friends from down the block came over for it and my dad would have the blank VHS tape ready to record every episode.
3:23 Poor Homer. I feel this pain and stress so much. The easiest and littlest tasks are always complicated and drawn out by sheer anguish. Always one step forward, three steps back. No amount of sheer concentration and attentiveness removes the chance of screw ups. Always on the arse end of the coincidence spectrum where nothing ever goes right.
Then you watch your friends do the EXACT same thing and everything just falls into their lap without lifting a finger.
hold still while I kick you in your boney old behind🤣🤣🤣
“Stupid Lisa” 😂😂😂 killed me. Always a favourite.
I wonder how often actual gunshop owners heard the "x days, but Im mad now" line over the years.
Probably not often.
The show hit it's stride when they realised the real star was Homer and not Bart
Bart was the star for the first few seasons then the producers thought they could make more stories from adult pov hence why they shifted to homer.
That's specifically when most agree it died

😂 Words to live by.
0:47 The Simpsons being funny yet disturbingly accurate.
not really, that was the most inaccurate scene in the whole video. 5-days? who waits 5 days to sell a gun in america, lol. the dude is mad now, sell it to him NOW......
@@AsifKhan-hf9zyThis is why you are a joke outside of America. How many daily shootings?

Why thank you, Simpson, I HAVE been watching my figure 😆
3:17 "WHY DOESN'T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT!?"
Finally someone acknowledges that season 11 and 12 were also considered the golden Era of the simpsons
Agreed. Simpsons got stale around late 2000, 2001.
they’re better than anything else after but they’re not even comparable to the stuff from 3-8
@@deNNyTheWiseMAN1 for me the golden era goes all the way to season 19-20, then it REALLY gets bad
@@alexmeneghini3360 you can definitely divide into a few different levels. i think 1-8 is the original writers and has all the classics. 9-20ish has plenty of great episodes but the morality and "life lessons" aspect of the show started to fade. then beyond that its been downhill, especially the last 5+ years. its almost like watching family guy now, still not quite as brain-dead stupid as that, but almost.
@@4282Greg very good analysis, you're absolutely right
This is the best "best of" Simpson's compilation I've seen on the internet yet
“I see. And what are you charging for this free weekend?”
It's free
Ok and when is it?
This weekend
And how much does it cost?
Umm….it’s free
Pacing and muttering all night is under rated.
They didn’t show the rest of it in this one but I always loved the Hitchcock ep. where Bart drags a bunch of heavy things his cast gets attached to while trying to save his sister from Ned Flanders. It was simultaneously funny and super sweet.
Yeah. And also Ned fainting in the attic.
And then fainting again when finding out the Simpsons were never baptized, lol.
Ned-diddly-ed actually fainted twice when finding out Bart and Lisa were never baptized, once when first being told and then again after Maude uses smelling salts to bring Ned to, but then said "no, that ain't gonna do it, aaahhaooohhh"
You left off the charge at Le Grille with the sun umbrella & the greatest war cry ever!
The grill scene is the best from this video. The crowbar attack on the grill is too damn hilarious!
Not even close. The police rescue-phone for the win.
thats one of the worst clips dude.
I feel that way about my computer...
The scream is even better
WHY IS LIFE SO HARD! WHY MUST I FAIL IN EVERY ATTEMPT AT MASONRY - looooooooll
7:08 😂 the way he casually says yes to recommending a doctor after standing his ground taking no part of it
We truly were spoiled with these seasons of the The Simpsons. Every character, although a stereotype was perfectly realised. So many gags, clever and goofy timed with utter precision one after another. And usually a nice little message at the end. Ain't getting this quality of writing back anytime soon.
The bit with Apu talking to the 'smashed hat' only for the survelliance crew to wonder where Homer is and then seeing him on the camera buying that disgusting hotdog gave me a right belly laugh.
I've always wondered why his BBQ pit kit included wheels...
To give Homer more problems 🤣
they added extra pieces to confuse you
@@corberus3119 no it was to confuse Homer himself 😂
And a watch.
you just blew my mind 😂
Thank u poster!!!...all the favorites...
Sometimes I’ll think of “legend of the dog-faced woman” and laugh like it’s the first time 🤣🤣
So good
You can brush your teeth with milkshakes! Always loved the Muumuu Homer episode! 😂
All of the old episodes are gold
Bart making the 9-1-1 call is Pittsburgh now. You get an answering machine.
Lisa said it's 3am but the clock is only going onto 10, either lack of detail or the batteries need changed 😂
I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.
This morning, I was awakened at what I thought was in the middle of the night. But when I checked the time, it was only 8:00 PM.
Its possible the video is mirrored so not to get copyrighted
6:02 I love Bart's description of "Jesus" 🤣
6:28 That’s The Same Music When Marge Started Drinking Wine In Cypress Creek.
Thank you
He installed his watch to the grill. 😁 3:30
Awesome video
Good stuff!
"Mr. Simpson?" - "One hotdog please." will always get me, even when watching it for the billionth time 🤣🤣🤣
'Eat around the banana dad, it's just empty vitamins'
🤣🤣🤣
"Speed-cocker, I like the sound of that"!!!!! How did fox get away with this? 😆 😂 😅
The way wiggums sidekicks smile all the time Moe is squirming, like they're enjoying the pain XD
3:49 "Now this is just between me and you, Smashed Hat." - Apu
The Hotdog one is one of my favourites, the animation and all the stuff on it just cracks me up every time.
"But how much is this free weekend"
Is something is say absent mindedly 😂
When is this weekend? It’s this weekend.
Hilarious!
I can’t get enough! 😂
Can’t believe I missed this for so long. Using Falco’s Amadeus for Dr. Zaius was pure genius!
3:20 So relatable
The RV episode from series 1 cracks me up when H and B are in the woods trying to catch a rabbit. It's the noise Homer makes when the animals are attacking him Haha
"And what are you charging for this free weekend?"
LOL!
My favorite is always "I am so smart s.m.r.t I mean s.m.a.r.t "
Man I swear these were the best seasons 🤦🏾💪🏾
7:19 Dr. Hibbert kind of sounds like Skinner in that scene
Both voiced by Harry Shearer :)
“This is where I come to cry” - Milhouse
i love this show so much
I love it when the doctor says, "Hello Mr. Gibson". Cuz, you know, he's saying high to me.
2:59 Le Grill what the hell is that 🤣🤣🤣
So glad I grow up watching these seasons
For the grill scene, the part where he screams when charging towards the pile. That the best part.
Le grille? What the heck is that?!?

Not so fast! There’s a five day waiting period.
Five days? But I’m mad now!🤣🤣🤣

That moment where he's screaming about why he can't do anything good with masonry hits though
I’ve never been able to hold back the laughs when homer mutters all day.

2:40 Le grille
Some fantastic episodes and moments from Series 2 tho as well, Homers party, Mrs Glick, Burns for mayor etc
The rotary phone is gold, gold I tell you
Awww you left out the scream when Homer plunges an umbrella into the bbq pit.
Now he’s finished.
Wow, didn't expect Grampa Simpson to recognize his grandson so quickly + even his name a moment later.
