The doctor has never been killed by the daleks although they are the most iconic villains I guess the 9th doctor died due to rose stopping the daleks but he has never been killed by a dalek (properly not counting the meta crisis regeneration)
10th was hit by a dalek beam and regenerated into himself. The face didn't change, but it was a regeneration.

@ItsPherBall well he is 6 foot 3, he probably cost the set designers a lot of money from having to build them higher to accommodate him
