Just took a solo trip up there recently, just a wonderful place to relax have a drink and meet cool people, and with the winter event totally worth it for me.
😂 Nope, Not allowed in! haha.....oops typo. (Not easy wearing all the hats around here!) Thanks for catching my mistake. Shucks, I guess 50-59 can get in for $24.99 too😉
will be there in Gatlinburg for our Honeymoon and this is one of our places to visit there. Thanks for doing this video to get a better understanding on what it's like and prices
Planning our first 6 person family trip to the Gatlinburg area this Christmas! Absolutely love this informative video! Keep up the great work! Any other tips you would recommend for a family with all teenage kids and a 3 y.o.? TIA!
I got a package special with Ripley's to the Aquarium, museum, and 3-D movie- *loved* all 3! ❤️Aquarium the most, & kid- friendly too... Everything's a bit pricey of course. - The putt-putt has a ticket good for a whole week - go each day to save money. One's indoors w black light if rainy.
When the lines are long as they were in your video how long does it take before you are on the chair lift . Also do you buy the tickets before you get in the line or does the line take you to the purchase window ? We are coming down in June and I will have 7 people with me .Thanks for the video .
Hi Robert, i would buy your tickets online and get Express Pass and reserve your time slot before you go then you can skip the longer line and get to Chondola a lot faster via the Express lane. That long lines is for people buying tickets on site the day of. Pay online first with reservation and skip most of that!
From what ive found there is no weight limit on Chonda or closed cabins. There is one for the ziplines however. Ive read reviews of 325lb 6ft tall man riding Chondola but not sure if they have a weight limit or not.
I'm glad you gave an extensive detailed video of this place. I have seen other videos from people that have never shown or even mentioned the coaster and zipline up there. Now here's my take on this place: I can't justify paying the amount of money that it costs just to go to the top of this place and walk around in and out of shops where they want MORE of your money. Then a couple of eateries up there, which wants, you guessed it, more of your money. Ok, so there is the treetop walkway through the trees, and the Bear something course that is mainly for kids, and then a garden and a tower. Whoopie! But what takes the cake for me is, you pay the cost to get up there, and then the two things that a lot of people would want to do, the coaster and zipline, you have to pay even MORE MONEY to do those! So I cannot justify, paying an admission fee just to go to the top and then walk around and go lah tee dah, hey honey, let's stand over here for a while and look at the mountains, then we can walk over there and look at the mountains. Oh honey let's go in the stores and spend more money! Oh and buy me a sandwich honey, I'm hungry. Honey did you bring enough money with you so I can ride this coaster and zipline which will cost us more for those two than the cost of both of our admissions just to get up here! We were in Gatlinburg about three years ago and I saw nothing worth spending money to go up there for. But I also feel the same way about the ridiculous over-priced skylift and sky bridge as well. I know this is not the type of comment that most people will give. But I am simply being honest about how I feel about this particular attraction. We have been in the aquarium several times. We have been to Dollywood at least three times. I just can't see how this place can charge what they do and you really get nothing or at least very little for it. I guess I am more of an "action-oriented" type vacationer, like going to theme parks and such. I am not saying everyone should feel as I do .I don't expect that. I just felt to share my opinion about this place, because by in large, most people always posts good comments and nothing negative about vacation spots. Sorry, but I am just being honest as how I feel about the place. Good day.
All valid points! Definitely not for some. We had a blast and was an awesome place to be, especially around autumn but you do have to pay to go up the mountain which seems like a dealbreaker for others. Thanks for your comment and sharing thoughts!
Oh yeah there is plenty of place you can get to without crossing the bridges. The only places you have to take the rope bridges are to get to any scenic areas that lie within or along the bridge areas itself😎
@@amystevens2209 There are several public parking lots and city parking garages nearby. All have handicapped parking available. Also if you require this, taken from their FAQ: While many parts of Anakeesta are wheelchair accessible like our Firefly Village shops, dining pavilion, and scenic viewing platforms, there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair or stroller such as our Vista Gardens (Wheelchair accessible ramp coming Spring 2021) or the Treetop Skywalk. However, our Gondola cabins are 32″ wide and 49″ deep to accommodate both wheelchairs and strollers for your ride to the summit.

@@QuestCapsule the sign inside said 1020 lbs. ( but that seems low for 6)
@@zolau7702 ok thank you for clarifying that. That does seem low for 6!
Is it worth buying express tickets? I am planning to visit on Thanksgiving weekend
Yes you can beat the long wait line for ticket booth!
So, you pay to shop and eat. Rides are additional

Is there a way to get there by car or walk?… for those just too afraid of the chairlift ??
Yes Johnny! The Ridge Ramblers will drive you to the top! A fun ride up too!
What if u are 51 to 59 in age?

So you have to pay just to get up there, and THEN pay for all the attractions and outrageous food prices? No thanks.
