      Perfect video idea, I will definitely add it to my list. For now, I recommend using the specification first to see what you need to know. Open your textbook, make your notes and remove all the noise, only write down the essentials you need to understand the topic. Watch a video for further understanding.Then always TEST your understanding by doing topic-based questions to finish off. You've got this!

    • @SmileWithSola

      It sounds hard but whenever you find yourself doubting just think about something else e.g. what you’re going to do on holiday. Just remember that worrying doesn’t do you any good apart from ruining your day and no matter how much you worry - it won’t change your grade. Once you rationalise this in to head you’ll realise there’s no point in worrying and it’s best to move on so you can do good in the rest of your exams

    So..
    •Can i write the as levels in October, and then immediately write my a levels in march?? Or should there be a year gap? Please reply soon sis, I'm in a very hectic situation..

    • @SmileWithSola
      @SmileWithSola  Год назад

      You don't need to sit AS levels, they are not compulsory and they do not really make a difference in university applications. I recommend spending a year or two revising A Levels. It's a lot of content so 1 year may not be sufficient. Check out the specification and textbook and see whether you'd be able to learn and memorise all of the content in time. I would personally recommend using 2 years to ensure you have a lot of exam practice. Hope this helps

    Hey Sola!
    My school only lets me pick 3 gcse options , while in some others they let them take as much as they want.
    So when it comes to university applications , will they prefer a candidate with more gcses (and good grades) than me with less gcses and good grades?
    i know this is a lot but it would mean a lot to me if you reply
    Thanks a lot xxx

    • @SmileWithSola
      @SmileWithSola  Год назад

      My school was the same and only let me do 3 GCSEs options on top of the compulsory subjects and it was fine for me! The number of GCSEs don't matter in university applications, it's more about getting good grades in the subjects that you do. So in reality, doing less GCSEs and getting better grades in them is much better than doing many GCSEs and getting average / below average grades. Hope this helps you out! :)

      It’s normal to be upset when things don’t go well. But it’s important to remember that you mostly only recall the places where you lost marks / didn’t understand, and you often forget the places where you did well! Have faith in yourself that you will pass, and focus on the other exams so you can still do well 😊

  • @lina-oh4xo

    hello, I really need help!!
    if I get a minimum 6|6 in combined science (I don't have my GCSE results yet) then I will choose to do a level biology, but as of now I would like to prepare for the course
    I was thinking about completely revising the GCSE AQA specification all over again just so the new content doesn't come as a shock to me, but at the same time I'm not sure if it's worth it - do you recommend knowing the combined science biology GCSE specification in full detail before I start doing a level biology? or should I revise the triple science biology specification (since I don't know the extra content included in that one)? or none at all?
    thank you :)
    also, sorry this comment isn't related to the video!

    • @SmileWithSola
      @SmileWithSola  Год назад +2

      I think don't sweat it - everything is taught again in A level, just in more detail. Also, a lot of GCSE content is really basic compared to A level, so it's like learning new content! If you are in Year 11, enjoy your holiday, refresh and then start being serious once you start A level. Start to get ahead in terms of your notes, and use the lessons to review what you already learnt. Don't sweat the small stuff and take it easy :-)
