My first time watching you. Not only i like subscribe to your channel but I am also going to share this formative content. I wish I found this earlier before the start of my school year ! Never to late to catch up. Thanks and blessings for the great job you are doing.
I just came across this. I’m 13 I’ve had decent grades I had b honors year in my seventh grade year, but I’m hoping to get a honor roll because I have been struggling a lot so I’m excited to watch this video. Thank you.
Just wanted to thank you so much for your videos. In year 10 I was absent for half of the year because I was in a tough place but I was strong enough to get back into school for my GCSEs. I watched loads of your videos and took your advice and I went from a 5 to 6 in maths and a 5 to a 9 in RS. Now I'm in sixth form and I'll be continuing to watch your vids :)))
I really needed this video. I am a student in year 11 and I am starting tuition Tommorow. When my dad showed my tutor my year 10 mock grades she said they are crap and I am probably going to fail some GCSEs. This video has helped me change my attitude to learning and hopefully do well in the real exam(can't do as good as you tho😅).
I just wanted to come onto here to thank you for sharing your tips, I watched your RE video 2 weeks before my RE GCSE and I came out with a 9 after being stuck on 6/7s on my mocks so just know that your videos are helping people.
Hey Sola, I love your videos, really helpful! Could you make a video on how to actually absorb information? I feel like I revise but I'm not soaking in any of the information
Thank you so much for this! Really going to help me out in the long run. Maybe a video about not succumbing to peer pressure and being able to separate yourself from crowds that won't help your future please.
Thank you going into yr11 extremely nervous but I'm determined and i guess that's a start as my school did english lit a year earlier i got a grade 9 in that so it makes me feel a bit more confident that if i can do that i can do the rest of my subjects too.
just went into y11, HEAVY on focusing on trying to understand what your teachers are saying rather than noting everything down, don’t be afraid to ask questions too
I'm a 17 year old Jamaican and I want to study dentistry as well. I'll be doing sixth form this year for 2 years to get my associates degree in chemistry and bio to attendthe UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY in jamaica. I feel like if I get an opportunity to study dentistry outside my country would be more efficient because of lesser opportunities in my country
Less notes??? You don’t even need flash cards, you can LOSE those flashcards. I just create a review sheet and number all the important points I need to know for my test. I make this review sheet based on NOTES that I’ve handwritten. Notes have purpose. Sure if you have time, draw concepts, make it pretty etc but you DO need hand written notes. It helps the information stick and you use your senses when you hand write notes. Apps are nice but if you’re a student on a budget, old-school handwritten notes>review notes>self quiz, etc beats apps 1000% and it’s super effective. I was an honor student doing this alone. I LOVE all your other tips though. You are on point. I will be showing it to my daughter and hope it inspires her to fight the quick reward gratification. Thank you for sharing your experience
Can you please do a video about how to get started on the gcse and a level curriculum early like in yr8 or yr9 please please please please please please please please!!!!!!!
hey, im at the start of Year 11 and my grades rn are mid just 5's and 4's. I'm willing to put in all my hard work and best to get the best grades possible. realistically I really struggle with all the subjects I do which are combined science higher, English lit and lang business, geography ,maths, and Spanish. I just need a bit of help and reassurance in making a timetable how do i distribute my time evenly to get the best results in my subjects. like tips in y11.I LOVE UR VIDEOS! I hope everyone works hard and gets amazing results!
Hey Sola! I want to thank you for such an amazing video! I’m definitely taking this all on board especially using flash cards more and trying Cramify! I just wanted to ask how you can work smarter and not necessarily harder? As a law student I can get lost with so much content and reading and trying to cover everything out of fear of missing something or not doing enough. Then there’s my notes which can be quite messy as well and I struggle to keep things organise and recall. I’m really trying to just be working more effectively but I’m feeling lost on how to learn/relearn the necessary academic skills because knowing me I’d try to do everything and anything at once😂😅.
Hi Sola, My school starts in literally 3 days, and I haven't done any studying. I am going into year 10. I was in the top set for science, but my teachers didn't teach us much and left halfway through the year. We were left with substitute teachers who were different every week, so I had to teach myself some stuff before the big exams. What should I do before year 10? Should I go through the science stuff?
I’m starting year 10 to but I would recommend make ur resources from the start of year 10 so I could be prepared for year 11 to and revise for ur mock exam and ur end of unit test and would recommend revising everyday for 1 hour at least so when u start year 11 u could be prepared and u won’t stress at all rlly
Effective revision iş important tho to revise science I would say Science: combined & triple Flashcards Blurting Specification Past paper before ur mock Physics make sure to memorise the equations and do some problem solving to by using the past papers to
Maths I’m not that great at but just do bunch of practice questions and just watch topics that u don’t understand Start revision early to be less stressful when u come to your GCSES
Honestly im going into sixth form now and I didn’t study much for year 10 I mainly prepared myself for year 11 and I still managed to get 8s and 9s for GCSEs so honestly don’t stress
Hey sola I hope ur doing well I was going to ask if u are going to give tutoring again because I rlly need some maths lessons for my year 10 tests since I wanna move up to higher before year 11 since I want to study dentistry to
with maths do the extra sparx stuff(if you use sparx, if not bbc is really good) you can also talk to your teacher and they should help you. Some schools do lunchtimes as well! Hope this helps! Year 10 isn't too bad your teachers will probably be quite chill.
I'm learning how to manage my work-life balance as I'm in my final year of university so I'm not sure yet, but if I do I'll post an update on instagram :) In terms of Maths advice, definitely watch my maths video as I show all the tips and tricks to get the best grades: ruclips.net/video/aJEkjuN9qJ4/видео.html
