Piece of advice from someone witg 3 degrees: don't strive to be ahead of others, just be ahead of yourself! There will always be that one kid who's game is stronger, so it could be easy to lose motivation. However, you can always keep yourself in check and make sure you aren't falling behind by doing your reading list beforehand and not letting you homework pile up. Good luck!
@@niyaistired For my bachelors, I enrolled into dual degree of history and sociology. During that I also took few classes in anthropology so I could get into that more easily afterwards. When I finished that, I enrolled into dual masters degree of anthropology and sociology with an extra few courses to get my teaching certificate...I'm just about to defend my 2 thesis and I'm officially done with that while I'm hopefully enrolling into phd next year! Honestly, it suited me better than having to do and learn only one thing for 5 years...this way, I learned so many different, yet connected things that make me uniquely qualified for specific subjects...and it's so much more fun! Even tho, lets be honest, your brain can sometimes feel fried and some things might be hard to learn because they are too similar....I almost emrolled in a paralel dual masters of museology and ethnology, but literally last minute decided not to since it would probably be just to much work and I would burnout so instead I just enrolled in some online classes to learn about that :)

That intro really just exposed my hobby of collecting nice notebooks for ‘academic purposes’. The tips are unique and not repeated! I really love when you upload your videos since your tips are helpful! Also, the recycle paper advice, I remember one of my teachers asking students to do that at the end of the year. I kind of like school but mostly because the stuff taught interests me so I research more on the subjects, unless it’s geometry.

I love how school turns your life into this thrilling mission- it's not just about the next exam, next test, but the end of the year finals and carrying that knowledge beyond. I'm in secondary school right now but I'm aiming for a medical route, so this developing this mindset did wonders for me back in the first year of secondary. As the new school year (in the US) approaches, I'm so excited to get back to the rigorous courses. Thank you faye for giving me all this wonderful advice and motivation!
You're so lucky that you know what to do! School is only a ticking timer if you don't know what you're interested in. I have the safety of not being forced to make a choice only for a set number of years. Pretty soon, I'll have to pull a career out of my ass and get thrown into the storm

ANOTHER TIP -- Make sure to review your class' required textbooks BEFORE the start of the semester and order it ahead of time. I always buy my books second-hand or rent them so its cheaper... butttt this time I made the mistake of waiting until classes started to order my book only to realize that I needed it that same day for an assignment. So i was kinda forced to buy it from the overprices bookstore (cri). So make sure to check what books you need early on if you want to get it for cheaper :)
Honestly watching your videos really makes me want to motivate myself to be more organized and more efficient when it comes to studying. I’ve found your channel during my struggle to study for AS level exam and has been a fan because it just kinda give me some hope and guidance on what to try to help my school life less miserable.
Ahh A Levels is so tough. Just push through these two years but make sure to get enough rest. Nothing is more important than your health: mental and physical
My mother also gave me the same advice. To read out the pages left and use them next year 😂😂😂 and it's actually a good step. I do this every year. Mom's really have same mind when it comes for saving and recycling 🤣🤣
@@Fayefilms I had been following the old bundles of sheets ever since I was in 3rd grade. I use practice mathematic sums or right answers or important notes and staple them in my textbook so they don't get lost. To me, it is basically a cheaper version of post-it! :-)

Usually I hate these types of videos cause the tips are like you said, "buy all this expensive stuff and stick to this really unhealthy study routine" but this was really helpful and mentioned some things I hadn't thought about, so thanks for that!!!
i got Dean's list award multiple times without 'aesthetic' notes/stationeries. in the end, what really matters is what's in your head, because that's what you bring to the exam hall. a simple black pen and simple notebook with underlining using same pen as highlighting. as long as i frequently revise the notes (and also focused while revising), I'm good to go.
1. Make an all in one calendar and on it you dhould write all deadlines of exams or test or assignments. Write down deadlines will be happening in the next month 2. Findout whay u need to do now to enter into a university or scholarship. And get deadlines 3. Make rough booklets for scrap paper or to do lists or blurting 4. Set a good LinkedIn profile

Just stay away from social media...if you want to become productive...and i don't know reason behind your mental stress...but try to not watch that reels and tiktoks... because when we see those types of things we start to compare ourselves with them...so just try to avoid social media as possible as you can. .. okay...hope you will get fine quickly ❤️
I think the best thing you can do for yourself is to embrace change. The scariest thing about college, high school, work, exams, and just growing up, is the uncertainty. Rather than being afraid of the obstacles we would undoubtedly face, turn that into excitement~ Be excited that you’re growing as a person. You’ll never grow if you’re always comfortable~ We’ll have to all go through hard times one day. So instead of being scared, be prepared~

Moms are super savers. I swear every mom knows the tip. Using the unused pages of a notebook is super efficient. I love using lose leafs of the unused pages to write. Am I the only one who loves to write on loose leafs than a book. It’s oddly satisfying for me.

There are times that I like school because I got to learn new things and be amazed! However, there are times that teachers give a ton of homework even if it's our break lol. Even if I am exhausted or despising the school works or even my teachers, I always try to turn it in a positive way like from "I'm so exhausted doing my school works", it would be "Finally I'm done or I'm making progress and I am so proud of myself!"

Hi Faye ~ to answer your question, yes I love school in general, you get in touch with people, learn and grow in many senses. But with the current status of value in my country, sadly it's very discouraging and overwhelming especially since grades have gone out of hand with people getting charity notes, so some fields are corrupted. Hopefully the situation gets better before my bachelor exam next year.....

I used to dislike school so much from my 1st to 4th year in college (I'm in a 5 year BS Pharmacy program) because I wasn't interested in it at all and followed only what my parents advised, only for the program to be so unbearably difficult that I went through a lot of grueling psychological distress. Fast forward to the first semester '21-'22, for some reason I felt a burst of determination before it started and hyped myself up by buying cute stuff, a new keyboard, a study timer, and busied myself with watching study tips and videos on RUclips. I was so used to failing or barely passing my exams, I was shocked to find that actively putting in effort gave me results. It helped too that along came subjects that I actually was interested in (pharmacology and microbiology). I regret not putting in this much effort before, but it was different then for me. I'm late to everything but I'm still determined to finish strong and raise my GPA. I'm grateful for content creators like you who give practical, useful advice and motivate others. Thank you, Faye!
There are times I hate school, and love it. It counts on my classmates and teachers and how I work around it. If my teacher is not giving in energy to teach or not caring to take it easy on us just to start a new topic or lesson, I won't Bother to even listen. If my teacher takes time to wait and answer questions then I'm willing to learn. It also counts on teacher and there energy of teaching, not just students putting energy and time.

Hi Faye! I really like your videos. This one wasn't really directed towards me (I am a secondary student) but I took away a few important tips (the all-in-one calendar). I have implemented the rough notebook tactic before too. I only buy new notebooks for tuition, nothing else. As for the question at the end, I have mixed feelings. As an institution, I think school is irreplaceable. But for learning, I am not quite sure. This pandemic made me realise that I don't really learn much in classes. I learn much better in 1-1 sessions or by self-studying.

The fourth tip is really useful! My mom is an expert on saving school book issues. If you have more pages (like second term books that have many pages) to a book you can use for school. ANOTHER TIP -- Make sure to review your class' required textbooks BEFORE the start of the semester and order it ahead of time. I always buy my books second-hand or rent them so its cheaper... butttt this time I made the mistake of waiting until classes started to order my book only to realize that I needed it that same day for an assignment. So i was kinda forced to buy it from the overprices bookstore (cri).
So make sure to check what books you need early on if you want to get it for cheaper :)

@@Fayefilms I had been following the old bundles of sheets ever since I was in 3rd grade. I use practice mathematic sums or right answers or important notes and staple them in my textbook so they don't get lost. To me, it is basically a cheaper version of post-it! :-)

i got Dean's list award multiple times without 'aesthetic' notes/stationeries. in the end, what really matters is what's in your head, because that's what you bring to the exam hall. a simple black pen and simple notebook with underlining using same pen as highlighting. as long as i frequently revise the notes (and also focused while revising), I'm good to go.
1. Make an all in one calendar and on it you dhould write all deadlines of exams or test or assignments. Write down deadlines will be happening in the next month
2. Findout whay u need to do now to enter into a university or scholarship. And get deadlines
3. Make rough booklets for scrap paper or to do lists or blurting
4. Set a good LinkedIn profile

Just stay away from social media...if you want to become productive...and i don't know reason behind your mental stress...but try to not watch that reels and tiktoks... because when we see those types of things we start to compare ourselves with them...so just try to avoid social media as possible as you can. .. okay...hope you will get fine quickly ❤️

Moms are super savers. I swear every mom knows the tip. Using the unused pages of a notebook is super efficient. I love using lose leafs of the unused pages to write. Am I the only one who loves to write on loose leafs than a book. It’s oddly satisfying for me.

There are times that I like school because I got to learn new things and be amazed! However, there are times that teachers give a ton of homework even if it's our break lol. Even if I am exhausted or despising the school works or even my teachers, I always try to turn it in a positive way like from "I'm so exhausted doing my school works", it would be "Finally I'm done or I'm making progress and I am so proud of myself!"

I don't enjoy school because of the teachers and the students. Some of our teachers don't do their jobs correctly and it's just hell.

Hi Faye ~ to answer your question, yes I love school in general, you get in touch with people, learn and grow in many senses. But with the current status of value in my country, sadly it's very discouraging and overwhelming especially since grades have gone out of hand with people getting charity notes, so some fields are corrupted. Hopefully the situation gets better before my bachelor exam next year.....

I used to dislike school so much from my 1st to 4th year in college (I'm in a 5 year BS Pharmacy program) because I wasn't interested in it at all and followed only what my parents advised, only for the program to be so unbearably difficult that I went through a lot of grueling psychological distress. Fast forward to the first semester '21-'22, for some reason I felt a burst of determination before it started and hyped myself up by buying cute stuff, a new keyboard, a study timer, and busied myself with watching study tips and videos on RUclips. I was so used to failing or barely passing my exams, I was shocked to find that actively putting in effort gave me results. It helped too that along came subjects that I actually was interested in (pharmacology and microbiology). I regret not putting in this much effort before, but it was different then for me. I'm late to everything but I'm still determined to finish strong and raise my GPA. I'm grateful for content creators like you who give practical, useful advice and motivate others. Thank you, Faye!

There are times I hate school, and love it. It counts on my classmates and teachers and how I work around it. If my teacher is not giving in energy to teach or not caring to take it easy on us just to start a new topic or lesson, I won't Bother to even listen. If my teacher takes time to wait and answer questions then I'm willing to learn. It also counts on teacher and there energy of teaching, not just students putting energy and time.

Hi Faye! I really like your videos. This one wasn't really directed towards me (I am a secondary student) but I took away a few important tips (the all-in-one calendar). I have implemented the rough notebook tactic before too. I only buy new notebooks for tuition, nothing else.
As for the question at the end, I have mixed feelings. As an institution, I think school is irreplaceable. But for learning, I am not quite sure. This pandemic made me realise that I don't really learn much in classes. I learn much better in 1-1 sessions or by self-studying.

The fourth tip is really useful! My mom is an expert on saving school book issues. If you have more pages (like second term books that have many pages) to a book you can use for school. I used my previous year pages to write.
