Over the weekend I attended the charity event in West Hartford, CT called Ferrari and Friends. Is there any better way to go to a Ferrari event?! We had the roof off the F50 and had to make it back to my friends garage before it started raining in the afternoon. Hearing the Tubi exhaust scream was incredible from inside the car and I thought it was shooting flames which my gopro footage shows it definitely did!

Mike Stewart sorry guys... Lfa, carrera gt F12, 599 laferrari fxxk murceilago with ipe exhaust arguably sound better. The best sounding car of all time is the Pagani Zonda Cinque.

Ahm guys, as glorious as the F50 is, the best engine/exhaust sound actually is from the 250 GTO and or the P4. Modern Hypercars are dull in comparison

Nah, that would just kill the soul of the car. That sound is beautiful, the car is beautiful, and that's all you need in my opinion.
Yeah I feel you but I'm one of those guys who think you can't have enough power...I know the people who make the cars wouldn't approve since they feel upgrading them is a form of defiling it
I totally agree. Only i feel that while most cars are manufactured, others are a step beyond that. They are crafted, made to be pure expressions of a company's personal love and passion for cars, or as many feel, art. Ferrari has gained their notoriety from building such cars. And the F50 is absolutely included. It is not simply a car, it is an artistic masterpiece that has just been created with a mechanical medium. So to me, interfering with such a car is comparable with painting over the "Mona Lisa". It just feels wrong...

I don't know why, but I never liked the Ferrari F50, it wasn't the best looking car Ferrari has ever made, the noise is great and all, but I'd much rather take an F40 any day of the week.
I still massively appricite it's engineering though, but that's as far as my admiration for it goes.

F40 is better
Well the McLaren F1 is better than your stupid F40 In every aspect possible. I laugh how they try to compare that Ferrari to a McLaren. And in my opinion any turboed Ferrari is not really a Ferrari. They're F1 Roots always started using a normally aspirated chunk of engine. Better response less need for complicated Plumbing and more reliability and that's hard to say from anything coming out of Ferrari
FirstOne the f40 is not better . Read evo car magazine road test on 288 gto f40 f50 and enzo . They were all road test back to back and every road tester said the f50 was the most under rated and most perfect car ferrari had ever made . Incidentally those same testers voted the f40 dead last . Its a really good article with some beautiful shots of all the cars
F50 looks and sounds better than the F40 IMO, its funny though for how much faster the f40 apparently was it only managed 1:29.6 at fiorano vs 1:27.0 for the f50.
