Ah, the Ocean map. I remember when it was used in low tiers. I spent one entire game in my Wyoming (IIRC) chasing after the enemy team. I never got within range before we won.
So what are strengths of bismarck? For me, german BBs are very bad and massively powercrept. They are supposed to be tanky and good at close range with good secondaries. In reality, ussr tanks much better and has better armor against AP. German BBs take massive AP dmg even though they are mostly citadel proof. New spanish BB line does secondaries better. They have bad guns and bad gun angles which means they need to show a lot of broadside to use all firepower. The only things that are good on german BBs are citadel proof armor, HE resistance and maybe hydro. Pretty bad imho.
@@simplyastery well i did the research. I came up with the success rate of just 5% in early stages of war. Later war as new technologies stepped in like radar it was increased to 15%. But when they hit they hit hard. I wouldnt want to be on deck while HE shells explode near.
@@Roeper437 in the case of Bismarck: the main gun conning tower was hit by a 14 inch projectile - which basically caused splintering on the inside which cut everyone inside to pieces. So in the case of WoWS : at beginning performance of guns should be fairly even and so gun directing. HIts in the superstructure (which includes plotting/conning etc) should cause worsening gun sighting performance. Mechanics which the game doesn't have.
@@TheStefanskoglund1 if it was a mechanic, it would remove come back potential as you would be more and more useless. Realistic? Maybe. Fun? I dont think so. It's arcade game, if you want such a realism, should you calculate balistics by yourself? CV would dominate even more.
The dispersion of Bismarck was atrocious.

Its how I have felt playing Duncan, only once in the last 20 games I didn't see any Tier X/* ships.
