yo what do i press to the next and previous frame
o_MaSaKi_o Click the timeline options icon (four horizontal lines) on the top-right corner of the timeline panel and then click on “enable timeline shortcut keys” and then you should be able to go to the next/previous frame by simply clicking on your left and right arrow keys. :)
@@ririchiyou thanks
@@ririchiyou Bro you saved an entire universe
artzoo It’s what homies do, mate
Doesn't quite work for me, the arrows do nothing even when enabled... I tried to edit it in the Shortcuts options, but you can't have arrows as a shortcut, just Ctrl+something, which is very annoying. Any ideas? :)
dude this upsets me because I've had Photoshop for years and never knew I could do this lol great video btw!

There are several factors in photoshop tutorials. One place I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Trevs photo blue print (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most incredible resource i've seen. Check out all the awesome information.
Live and learn normal its late :(
I've been so scared to animate because I didn't know how or what I would even make. This video helped me give it a try and I am so happy I did, thank you!
There are video layers?! 12 years of experience and I didn't know?! Revolutionary

Never knew how animation really worked, I had an idea I guess but man, I was way way off course! Your simple little animated explosion left me with such a smile ☺️ it was like seeing MAGIC. I felt such ecstacy seeing your whole process come to life. I don't know how to repay this feeling, truly.
i had Photoshop for several years but i never knew we could animate in there as well... THANK YOU very much!!! made the workflow much easier
Hi! I was one of the guys requesting more videos on you Instagram! Was so happy to see a new video on your Channel :) thanks really much! :)
Hello Master😁 im a fan and an aspiring animator here from Philippines. All of your videos was deeply appreciated specially for us who dont have a formal study in animatiom. I learned a lot. Thank you so much.
i've been looking for this type of video! most of the animation tutorial videos only use super cartoony circle heads, which is great and all, but i find it hard to translate that into more complex figures. really interesting to see and understand *how* you turn a more proper head !
Thank you for this amazing video; So clear and concise and what was needed for a beginner like me ; can not wait to apply what you have taught me and eager to watch your other vids...Sensations was...well...sensational! Thank you much for giving me a wonderful burst of inspiration! Looking forward to viewing more of your genius.
Best tutorial i've ever seen on the timeline basics in photoshop.

Thanks man, this tutorial is really the best for one that wants to start in animation. pls i'll request you make more like this, and on how to had colors in a painting way and other stuffs. Thanks a lot and Happy new year 2020
And I thought, Im a photoshop profesional. Awesome video man.
Ok, GREAT VIDEO!! But just one question, how can you add more frames between frames to slow down a movement or remove frames to speed up a movement?
In Layer, Video Layer - select insert blank frame. If you use that a lot make a hot key for it. Photoshop also has Video layers and Art layer. Art layer is more like individual frames and is easier to add/delete frames and animate of 2s, 3s, or 4s.
@@celestethoms Thanks thanks thanks
@@celestethoms when I do this all the frames after the new blank one disappear :/
@@samifilosa9348 Maybe the frames that were there were pushed away by the new layer you inserted. Everytime that happens I just shorten that new layer, and then I get to see the layers that I thought disappeared, but in reality they were again pushed off by the new inserted layer. It also depends on where you insert your new layer in the chosen video group.
Thank you for this, really helped me out.

You should try to recreate a shot from Avatar The Last Airbender to do some fluid simulation and what not
That sounds cool! Good idea!
this is actually one of the reason why I wanted to learn animation lol, Zuko's firebending is so cool!
I came here by accident, but thank you because it's a lot of good advice and thoughts about creating animations :)

👍👍👍👍👍😘. I need this.
THANK YOU
Great!
Wondering why never we were never taught this at school, this looks a thousand-times easier to use(although still hard lol) than 2D animation softwares we've used like Toonbom Harmony. Anyways, keep up the great work man, all your videos are superb, wish to have the same god-like animation skills as yours.
amazing ! thanks !
What exact photoshop are you using? I have Elements 9 but I don't seem to have the timeline option in mine. I know there's a way to do it, but I can't seem to find it in my version...
Great video Thanks
I’ve got a question. How do you make inbetween frames, if you need to make the animation smoother for instance?
I'm in the middle of the process by now. As my project was not well thought since the beginning, I'm facing some struggles down the line. Efficiency is always getting low, but the main reason is, I set the project quality to 300dpi. That's utter overkill for this kind of project.
I like your tutorial very much, but I'd like to know how the last one was painted. Do you need one frame?
Great video but question, how do I slow down my animation using the video timeline? and do I animate in twos?
Super useful tutorial 💙
free plugin for photoshop - Anim design is also super useful for frame by frame animation . 🤙
about frame counting and set up duration i need to learn more so that i can set things before the drawing. affter sketching i am having issues to match drawing with the duration. i mean my video is remaing blank , i dont know how to adjust the blank areas.
