I mean they hinted at dreams and nightmares so maybe that? Forced them to have continual nightmares until they believed it was reality. Or some form of sleep paralysis/hallucination to induce them into their cursed state.

I agree IF they can get the same actor. He managed to be intelligent, sexy, awkward, sensitive, and funny all at the same time. He does not get enough credit for what he brings to both movies.
My favorite ending explained are when you can tell that he hates the movie he just watched. The disdain is not subtle at all and it's freaking hilarious!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Going to the movies is kinda of a pain whether it's because of a lot of introverted people and schedules. Movie RUclips channels usually show lesser movies but they still make thing enjoyable.

If you watch the videos at 2× speed, then you can get through them in ~10 minutes instead of having to slog through 80 minutes of excruciating tedium to watch the movies.

Yeah but the abusive relationship added nothing to the plot. And when the husband is killed, it’s not as satisfying because… we all knew he was going to die so we don’t care nor is it as celebrated as it should. The husband doesn’t have much of a character to begin with, he’s just a plot point. He’s only there to make it apparent that the one twin is more evil, which worsens the story because the idea of the myth is that Bagul has to possess an innocent kid to do his bidding. Key word innocent. So when he can’t possess one kid, he goes to the other because hey, he seems more likely to kill. Even though that’s far too obvious and again goes against what the first movie established. If they wanted to make the husband abusive, that’s fine. But instead have it be where he was killed by one of the twins, and they are on the run from the law. You can still make it a note that he was abusive, but I believing that removing him from the story would have made it better. We’re not supposed to be focusing on the terrible marriage, we’re supposed to focus on the bagul guy and the kids and mom and the cop.

I still don't get the reason for the kids turning evil, just because they get descentizised to killing they suddenly wanna kill their family 🤔 How does that even work? And if watching the tapes turns them evil how did the first kid kill their family? Also if the kid failed how did bagul kill him and take him to his realm? Isn't that breaking the whole point of the rituals if he can just touch the kids and kill em? 🤔
Tbh I think it has something to do with the family. Remember in this movie Dylan told his mom about how she didnt do anything to stop their dad from hitting him. What if it’s the actually family that has something to do with it
Zak killed his father..so he made a sacrifice ..bagul took him despite that he failed to kill the other members of his family but at least he killed his father..a ritual with his dad as a victim was successful
sakis charis that’s not how he took the girl in the first movie. He took her like she was a princess. Picked her up and carried her off because she was successful in killing her entire family. He turned this boy into a skeleton and then took him into his dimension. I’m pretty sure that was a punishment.
Probably he ate them slowly in the netherrealm, the succesfull ones. But in Zach's case he ate him instantly.

I actually really liked sinister 2, i was really panicked when they were being chased in the house, and the familys murder films were really eerie and scary, it was definitely a good horror movie

Not that it could match the first but if there was a 3rd movie it should be from Baghoul's perspective. Kinda like how Halloween tended to be from Michael's perspective.
The "Christmas Day" snuff film intrigued me with the "happy family moment." The ghost kid's family is running down the stairs and opening presents but are doing all this without the ghost girl. I kept thinking, "Why didn't they notice or wait for the ghost kid to come with them to open presents?" Then when she brings them hot chocolate, the mother and father looked at her as if she just ruined their Christmas morning or like they didn't want her with them. Then as the ghost kid walks away, the mother smiles to the rest of her family as if saying "Now that she's gone, let's just try to enjoy our Christmas." With that one, it looked as if the family hated her even before Bagul turned her evil.
well I think all of the kids were not treated as well as they should have been and that's kind of the explanation of why they were cool murdering their entire familia's

Actually I think Trevor was first targeted by Boghul in the first Sinister movie, which would explain his sleep walking and night terrors returning (they said so in the first movie that before the move it been a long time since Trevor's last night terrors/sleep walking accident, in order to get Ashley to resent her brother as well as the rest of her family more. So I'm sure the relent of Dylan wanting part in Boghul's plan isn't really against Sinister, it just never was completely explain as part of the process in the first movie.

Been binge watching a lot of these horror film summaries. Now I really want a movie where someone just goes and messes up the supernatural for all the suffering they've caused.
I think one of the bigger problems is that, unlike the first film, they couldn't go through with how it should had ended. If the kind and sweet boy had been the killer in the end, it probably would had made some sense. What would had been very surprising would had been a twin brother's murder where Baguul takes both brothers in the end.
