One really important thing he missed was: When the mother opened the bin, her medication was lying on top but the capsules were open. That’s what the ‘dust’ cheese was (the last time), to drug the Changeling. That’s why when she woke up with her head buried, the Changeling was unconscious, otherwise she’d have no chance of surviving let alone saving her child!
In a way, it's a bittersweet ending. It's nice that she finally got her son back, but in exchange, she has to live in constant fear of those changelings
I come here, watch the first half of a video and decide if the film looks good, pause it if it does and watch said movie, then come back here and watch the rest of the video to see if i picked up the whole plot, watched so many good movies because of this channel 100%
A mother hears weird grunts coming from her son's room... Mother of a child: Oh crap my son might be a changeling Mother of a teenage boy: Let's pretend I didn't hear that
I think you missed that she had empty pill casings in the trash hinting that she drugged the parmesan. That is why he passed out after burying her head.
I really can't believe he missed this, or at least didn't comment that it was mighty convenient for the changing to have tuckered out before he could finish off the mom. All he took from the shot of the empty casings in the trash can was that "she stopped using her meds." Minor but weird oversight.
Totally off topic, but my eleven year old daughter has grown up hearing your voice but I’ve never let her actually watch the videos. You’ve been playing in the background of her childhood for, well, for most of her memorable life. Then, yesterday night, I went to turn off her TV when she had fallen asleep and your channel was playing. I asked her about it this morning and she said your voice reminds her of something and when I asked her what that something was she just said “something good” - so, just wanted to say thank you for being a part of our life, and my kids childhood, even if she never really knew who you were 🖤
Oh this is so cute and amazing!!! Foundflix gives everyone some good memories and she is lucky to have grown up listening to his intellectual commentaries
That's actually a much happier ending than I expected... I thought when she returned to the house. The changeling she locked in the basement would have escaped and actually put the real boy in It's place. Meaning she would of murdered her own son while taking the creature with her.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that. I'm so conditioned by horror movies frequently having bad endings that I kept waiting for the 'but...'
I think it’s more bittersweet. While yes she got her real son back, she now has to live in constant fear that he’ll be replaced again (as evidenced by the camera and the mirrors in her house)
Yeah but I thought it was her son she mistakenly killed because she still had doubts when she saw the blurry picture in the camera. Like also when they were in the car at the end of the movie the kid gave a really creepy smile and it was stupid of her to leave the boy outside when she knew there was a demon around who could take people looks.
gonna be honest, i thought we were gonna fine out that the mother was actually a changeling too, cuz of the scar opening up. she would turn the camera on herself and see the monster
She would know she is a changing though. If she was actually replaced the new her would go on living life as normal (like the kid changling tried) Her turning the camera to herself and being surprised by the result would make no logical sense. It would be a plot twist for the audience, but for her it would be known information.
That would be the worst plot twist ever... how would the monster be surprised that he took over a Sarah’s life...? And why would the monster even care if the kid is a changling and keep checking him out every now and then
Just finished and I thought maybe her evil twin had excaped. She could have freed the other changeling and locked the real boy in the basement before burning the house down. They could of had a shot of her reflection through the rear view mirror. I personally didn't like the ending.

That flashlight should have done more damage then in the underground, unless it was made of aluminum. Plot Twist: For centuries, the Fey have been pushing humans away from iron objects, by creating companies that produce items from non-iron elements. Ask yourself, when did we stop making cars out of steel, and started using aluminum and fiberglass? Did you cook on an iron pan at breakfast this morning, or was it Teflon? Are your kitchen knives steel, or ceramic? If you went camping, are the tent stakes made of plastic, because they certainly aren't iron, they would be too heavy to carry, right? You want to enjoy yourself while camping in the woods. You still have iron and steel pitons, but that's on a mountain, and the Fey don't live there, that is for the Dwarves.
My vote is for “The Killing of a Sacred Deer”. Chris Stuckman did a great in-depth breakdown a good while back of Enemy so that ground’s covered for me
I saw this movie over New Year’s Eve and thought it was neat and kept saying how an ending explained of this would be great. Had a bad day today and this really lifted my spirits beyond belief. Thanks man seriously.
she probably saw him doing weird shiz like for example eating the spider maybe he was climbing walls and stuff and it just showed the full changeling body and the husband most likely denied her because he was in denial for so long and wanted to refuse to believe that his wife was right about the son not being their own etc
She saw the monster. The movie establishes that the monster will show up in its monster form if viewed through a mirror or lense of a camera. Its why she's taking pictures at the end.
11:37 It’s also a tradition at Irish wakes to cover or take down the mirrors in the house the body is in. The superstition is to stop the spirit of the deceased being trapped in the mirrors. When the funeral is over; the mirrors are out back. Covering the face is part of the movie though
It's an old Southern tradition in the states too (back when wakes were held in homes with the body). It's not as common a practice these days, but there are still families that handle deaths traditionally. Undoubtedly, it's a tradition brought over from Europe and other countries. The negativity and fear of death and funerals and need to pawn it off on funeral homes and third parties is a pretty uniquely American thing. Thankfully, there are still some regions over here that haven't entirely bought into the scam.
Best thing about this movie is that the ending wasn't the changeling walking away into the world with the stolen identity. I absolutely hate the evil "doppelganger" trope in movies because 99.9% of them are always the same. There is always a climactic fight and it makes you think the good guy won and then *DUM DUM DUUUUUM* it was the doppelganger all along. Really glad they didn't go that way for once.
23:25 I dunno, Dude - I reckon after going through an experience like that, keeping plenty of mirrors around seems like a fairly reasonable thing to do...
I love love love this movie. The actress playing the mother gives her all with this, and the subtlety she gives with the performance is super powerful.
Because her bf or husband or whoever would get in the way and fight the monster and or it kills her partner soon after or early on, so maybe another actor would be useless to th like their excuse for staying away from her ex lol
I really enjoyed that movie! I was so happy that the mother was able to rescue her son from the fae. All the Irish stories dont end half as nice, usually the kid is lost forever and the mother goes crazy. Its nice to have a happy enough ending lol
Please explain Killing of a sacred deer..this one is so confusing..for enemy, there are many explanations available on youtube but no one really broke down the story or explained properly killing of sacred deer.. i really hope you choose this one..
I’m really loving that more horror movies are having more hopeful endings! I know she still has some psychological damage from the events but the fact that she AND her son made it out alive is really cool!
I mean, me though. Someone told me there was quicksand near where they were sitting, and I immediately stood on it. It wasn’t, but i have not great judgement as you can see.
One interesting thing about Changelings, is that the legend goes that the swap places with babies, not children. This monster likely ended up being born as an explanation for what was Autism, which many parents describe as “their child being taken”, due to sudden onset of symptoms around age 2.
I took the whole thing to be a commentary on mental illness given how much importance they place on how bad things became after she didn't take her medications. As someone with schizophrenia I know how paranoid you can become about your medicines and wondering if you should even be taking them, but you definitely should because things are 10x worse without them. I'm honestly not convinced there was a monster at all and the whole thing was a visual metaphor for the mental issues she was dealing with in the aftermath of her ex's assault on her.
I think Enemy is a fantastic film, but I understand its meanings and there’s a video on RUclips that explains it very well (I think it’s by Chris Stuckmann). The Killing of a Sacred Deer was fairly confusing to me. I’d love to see you try and unravel that ending a little. I’m convinced there wasn’t an actual explanation.
@@LatinaWednesday THATS IT! lol Thanks, I just remember him and his daughter moved into a new country house and she finds an indian ritual mound and it takes her over or replaces her
This is a very common story/ creepy pasta. It's more commonly known as a hole in the ground. It's a very common story about a child going missing in a hole in the ground in the woods and coming back or being found and being different. Then we find out they are a changeling. There's actually been quite a few movies based on this story and quite a few creepy pastas written on it. But it's a old old folk tale that's been around for a long time.
Killing of a sacred deer!!! Also could you do the movie “Braid” from 2019, also a movie called “Tabloid Vivant” who I think me and may like 50 other ppl have seen lol
I absolutely LOVE "Enemy" and a person can't wrong with Jake Gyllenhaal, but I feel that the movie has been so thoroughly already. I haven't heard or watched "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" (and the leads intrigue me), so that's my vote.
can I also just say that it's a saying where I'm from to refer to strangers like "You wouldn't know them from a hole in the ground!" Haven't watched the rest of the vid yet but sounds like it matches the themes
I just found your page , you are literally the only one I’ll listen to on here for movie ending videos now! Everyone else just sounds annoying to me now lol
Once again, I'd like to say I want the OPPOSITE of this movie's premisis. Instead of "looks like your kid but acts like a monster" have a movie about "looks like a monster but acts like your kid". Imagine a goblin like thing crying like a child, and the mom goes to comfort it. Imagine the mom reacting to everyone trying to kill her monster-child. So she kills them. Imagine a 5 year old who realizes adults are legit scared of him, so spooks them just for laughs. Imagine when something that looks like the original child shows up at the end of the movie.
It's not horror material though. It's literally Frankenschtein's monster, and it would evoke more societal disputes of how we treat those, who doesn't look "normal", than actual fear. Cause its literally only a child, just an ugly one.
Enemy. But man, please: Donnie Darko. It's such a cool, probably the coolest, concept/story ever and to this day I still believe that it's underrated. The tangent universe, artifacts, and Seth Rogan wtf. I also believe that if you made a video on Donnie, it would be the best one about it
PLEASE PLEASE do one over “The Uninvited” in the future! -> (currently on Amazon Prime) just rewatched it and i’m even more blown away than i was the first time and i’d love to see your reactions/thoughts.
This! This is what upset me the most! Everything else seemed logical to me but when she went into the forest in the middle of the night I was like nope, girl is dumb.

We have that down in the Southwest, too
Best thing about this movie is that the ending wasn't the changeling walking away into the world with the stolen identity.
I'm going to age myself here, but the actress playing the mom puts me in the mind of this actress back in the day Christie McNickel.
Would love to see an ending explained of Killing of a Sacred Deer
Mans got deformed Walter Pfp
@@ethanpacheco994 aint nothing wrong with walter
The mom looked like if Angelina Jolie and the wife from The Shining had a baby
That is one f'ed up couple. The actress who plays the mom in this is really pretty, or at least I think so. :-)
Can’t wait for the sequel “Hole in the Wall”
or hole in the sky
J Hill or hole
The hills have holes
@@MatthiasDrinksH20 NOOOO that be sounding like a XXX version of hills have eyes, and we don't be needing nnnooonnnneeee of that
I saw hentai with the same title
i find it insane how amazing foundflix’s storytelling is.
I would also like to see ‘the killing of the sacred deer’.
Is it me or do all of the horror movie have the same title card entrance, you know, creepy violins, clocks ticking and a woman breathing.
jpwendigo not always the violins or breathing but yeah the clock is almost always there
Ooo, someone notify Jeremy. New sin for horror movies!
its because it works
Humming, children playing, story territory panning, cold day, driving on a rainy day, something like that...
I love love love this movie. The actress playing the mother gives her all with this, and the subtlety she gives with the performance is super powerful.
why in all horror movies, the mum is single: babadook, veronica, curse of la llorona, hole in the ground, I think ouija?
Because her bf or husband or whoever would get in the way and fight the monster and or it kills her partner soon after or early on, so maybe another actor would be useless to th like their excuse for staying away from her ex lol
Cause single motherhood is the real horror.
Changeling too. Only Brightburn has married couple. Dumb married couple, but whatever. LOL
They have a common horror theme, child support
Babadook genuinely made me a bit frighted to sleep in the dark for a while😂😂
I really enjoyed that movie! I was so happy that the mother was able to rescue her son from the fae. All the Irish stories dont end half as nice, usually the kid is lost forever and the mother goes crazy. Its nice to have a happy enough ending lol
Usually Norean IS the ending
He's looking more and more like a middle age dad every time I come back to his videos
As are we all
In a good way, though!!
First: I love your haircut. You look so dapper
And second: the killing of a sacred deer sounds super interesting
Please explain Killing of a sacred deer..this one is so confusing..for enemy, there are many explanations available on youtube but no one really broke down the story or explained properly killing of sacred deer.. i really hope you choose this one..
"Killing of a sacred deer" definitely. I think "Enemy" has thoroughly been reviewed already
I’m really loving that more horror movies are having more hopeful endings! I know she still has some psychological damage from the events but the fact that she AND her son made it out alive is really cool!
Ngl, whenever I wanna find a horror movie to watch, I just look for an interesting thumbnail of foundflix.
I have a sinking feeling that most of those children are changelings
That’s probably true
That could very well be why at first he wasn't very fond of Stuart, and after the changeling took Chris' form he was best of friends with Stuart.
Sinking feeling in a movie called “The Hole In The Ground”. Is a pun intended there, KoldBreeze 3100
Their singing was way too good. The little monsters.
I am Irish and I can confirm that "bonnet" means hood of the car
Where I'm from, it means the same thing.
Y’all got these creepy monsters too?
LEGO SonyStudios yes we do their called children
My vote is for "the killing of a sacred deer" as ive heard that its pretty weird.
This is an A24 film? Who doesn't love that company at this point, am I right?
Connor Frick is that good? I’ll check it out
@Connor Frick Yorgos is good. Don't discount Ari Aster and Robert Eggers. They're both on f'n fire.
The mother/actor in this film is so beautiful. Her accent had me in her first lines.
That’s a south Dublin accent
She looks like Scarlett Johansson a little
“Irish Santa comes along” - Foundflix
Stared Gazer 😂😂😂🙌🏼🙌🏼
He really called the surgeon from The Killing of a Sacred Deer “charismatic” when literally all the dialogue in that movie is uncomfortable
I would like to see The Killing of a Sacred Deer, look interesting.
^ you may like the ending movie is good tho
no a "bonnet" is the front hood. the "boot" is what u call the trunk (if u aren't from American continent).🤣
That’s it haha
fritzkrieg 23 they call it that most places
FoundFlix: lets dive into the hole in the ground

One interesting thing about Changelings, is that the legend goes that the swap places with babies, not children. This monster likely ended up being born as an explanation for what was Autism, which many parents describe as “their child being taken”, due to sudden onset of symptoms around age 2.
I took the whole thing to be a commentary on mental illness given how much importance they place on how bad things became after she didn't take her medications. As someone with schizophrenia I know how paranoid you can become about your medicines and wondering if you should even be taking them, but you definitely should because things are 10x worse without them. I'm honestly not convinced there was a monster at all and the whole thing was a visual metaphor for the mental issues she was dealing with in the aftermath of her ex's assault on her.
that's very interesting
I think Enemy is a fantastic film, but I understand its meanings and there’s a video on RUclips that explains it very well (I think it’s by Chris Stuckmann).
The Killing of a Sacred Deer was fairly confusing to me. I’d love to see you try and unravel that ending a little. I’m convinced there wasn’t an actual explanation.
Do you want to marry me?

This movie actually looked pretty good, the beginning seemed a little slow but the story was really good.
Oof i wanna see both but "The killing of a sacred deer" has a more interesting title
I swear Kevin Costner had a movie similar to this the 2000's something like "The Daughter"
I looked it up and it's called the new daughter.
Kristen Kalinowski braid is on amazon prime so I’m gonna watch it but tabloid vivant isn’t but looks very good
Braid had me feeling like I smoked some laced weed...
This guy is a movie explanation BOSS.
"No way, I'd never leave you you little weirdo." Never change.
I'd personally like to see "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" please sir FoundFlix
I absolutely LOVE "Enemy" and a person can't wrong with Jake Gyllenhaal, but I feel that the movie has been so thoroughly already. I haven't heard or watched "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" (and the leads intrigue me), so that's my vote.
can I also just say that it's a saying where I'm from to refer to strangers like "You wouldn't know them from a hole in the ground!" Haven't watched the rest of the vid yet but sounds like it matches the themes
I was 10/10 thinking he would see her face look like a changeling in the car’s mirrors or something on the way out.

killing the sacred deer oh yeah good haircut
So basically Gremlins but more violence. I dig it
I think I've seen a movie you've just describe. The Fair Hair Child.
You may read Kafka's "Die Verwandlung". I don't know the international title
It's not horror material though. It's literally Frankenschtein's monster, and it would evoke more societal disputes of how we treat those, who doesn't look "normal", than actual fear. Cause its literally only a child, just an ugly one.
Imagine
Enemy. But man, please: Donnie Darko. It's such a cool, probably the coolest, concept/story ever and to this day I still believe that it's underrated. The tangent universe, artifacts, and Seth Rogan wtf. I also believe that if you made a video on Donnie, it would be the best one about it
Check out TheologyEd on RUclips. He does a cool analysis of Donnie darko
PLEASE PLEASE do one over “The Uninvited” in the future! -> (currently on Amazon Prime)
just rewatched it and i’m even more blown away than i was the first time and i’d love to see your reactions/thoughts.
Have you seen A Tale of Two Sisters? It’s the South Korean film that The Uninvited was based on. It’s definitely the superior film.
why the hell would you go to the middle of the woods in the night, let alone ignoring a huge hole in the ground
This! This is what upset me the most! Everything else seemed logical to me but when she went into the forest in the middle of the night I was like nope, girl is dumb.
"The killing of a sacred deer", was pretty confusing to me, so yeah, I vote for it.
