Love this.....be careful.... I bought dark chocolate from Aldi .... Look where it says "contains".... Bc some do contain milk 😊💜 Im dicing my dates up and mixing with some peanuts with my creamy peanut butter and dark chocolate chips and jaut freezing them. Mic and scoop first.💜
Haha I lived off of Snicker bars in college too! And I was slow to learn the lesson that it was not a healthy plan...now I don't ever eat then we'll except the frozen kind on occasion. This is much better..ty!
I’ve never been a big sweets lover but for some reason when a co-worker “forced” mini Snickers on me😂 I became obsessed. This is such a needed AND healthier option and so 🙏🏽 💯!
We do a simple version of this in my culture as a gift during special occasions. They basically stuff the date with any type of nut, usually it’s cashew, almond or pistachios… no other ingredients. On another note - once you cut out processed sugars from your diet, you stop craving sugary foods, so eating ONE of these would be enough for you if you don’t eat refined sugars otherwise, ie. maple syrup, sugarcane, brown sugar, fructose, agave, and even honey. I’ve been off these sugars for about 6 months and the other day went to someone’s house and I had a 1/4 of this dessert she made with regular white sugar, and it was enough. I didn’t crave it, I didn’t want more, I just wanted tea or something to wash away the taste. Natural fruit sugars are okay, but not in copious amounts everyday. If I eat super sweet fruits, it’ll only be in the mornings. It gives you energy and your body metabolizes the sugar in fruit a LOT differently than those other processed sugars. Key is to have fibre with your sugar to help slow the “sugar rush” and to slow the insulin spike.
Thanks for this …. Fyi …alot of my videos are for the masses…to help people transition to a plant based lifestyle. My personal diet mainly consists of Fasting and eating mainly whole fruits and vegetables. So I really don’t crave sugar…but for those that need to start somewhere I’m here to offer recipes for them. 30 years ago when I started I wish I had this information that I now share 🙏🏽😘
First, thank you for sharing your home with us. Second, I just finished watching your videos on meal preparation, and I confess I hate to cook, but your easy step by step, and the results I am ready to get into the kitchen. Third, your tips about the additives that are in food, also make me.want to do my own cooking from scratch. Again thank you. OH! Also your bubble personality!
Hello Michelle, I just wanted to comment on this sweet treat! It is delicious!! I fixed six and eating two a day!!😂 I will have to fix more than six now that I know how good they are! I going to try the cookies next!! Thank you so much for this! It cures my sweet tooth!! You don't taste the dates and the almond butter taste like real caramel!! OMG!!!!
Yessss!! I miss eating those Ferrero rocher and i was craving them the other..so thank you for this little treat..i think i will add either crushed walnuts or macadamia nuts 😊
Wow thanks for the tip on the date pits. I just purchased dates for the first time. I was going to do a cake recipe but this is so much easier! I love coffee, my guilty pleasure. I have to try the pits. Fingers crossed.
Love your personality! I will be making these. I’m try to stay away from processed sugar sweets. Snickers used to be my favorite candy bar. Glad you made the healthy option❤
Hi Michelle, thank you so much for this! I just made several and they were sooooo easy and delicious! The finished product looks like they are finicky and time consuming but they come together in minutes. I used the Medjool dates from Trader Joes, they are nice and big and so easy to pit AND they are affordable. I get my vegan dark chocolate from Olive Nation, they have several options which are reasonably priced and ship quickly if anyone is looking for a good vegan dark chocolate chips for baking. Thanks Again!
@@myvegankitchenlife just to let u know the link to the recipe just goes back to a YT no big deal but the ratio of chocolate to coconut oil might be impt to ppl making bigger batches like me who are taking this to a potluck
I'm gonna really have to try that Date Coffee you mentioned in the early in the vid. Because for me it's that 2nd cup of coffee in the morning that slightly gives me jitters. But I always feel I need that 2nd cup.😫😅
They make unsweetened choc you can use. Or choc sweetened with stevia vs refined, processed sugars. Also use a unsweetened nut/seed butter. Making the entire treat processed-sugar free.
This looks so good. Thank you for the sweet treats, because I'm craving for sweets but I don't want the guilt 😂

Are the chocolate sweetened or unsweetened? Just wanted to make sure in case it throws off the final outcome
They make unsweetened choc you can use. Or choc sweetened with stevia vs refined, processed sugars. Also use a unsweetened nut/seed butter. Making the entire treat processed-sugar free.
How long do you actually let them sit in freezer? I did an hour mine was hard to bite
I put it in the refrigerator not the freezer…1/2 hour is good 👍🏽
@myvegankitchenlife ok thanks they are good though trying to disguise the dates to give to my 7 yr old who's constipated
@@goddessoflove31 thats a great idea …my 7 year old grand baby loves them 💗
That's great I wish my child wasn't so picky
What percentage dark there is
60 -95 % which do you recommend ?
I use 72%👍🏽
Oh gosh, you made me laugh out loud when you referred a toothpick as a Qtip...lol
Ma'am, how do you expect me to eat just one?? 😜😂
😂😂😂😂
I've seen some dark chocolate that isn't vegan!
I know smh. You really have to read your ingredient list 👍🏽
Not all dark chocolate is vegan

🤔 This is a copy of a recipe 4 years ago on TY-where’s the caramel layer? P.S. Don’t need peanut butter-just peanuts. 🤔
But I like the ingredients in this recipe especially the peanut butter 🥴the combination is on point 👍🏽
