Hey Graig WOW what a show and that dealer ASH has unbelievable high end cards he's great to deal with, met him at shows in NY and Las Vegas and bought a few cards from him like 1954 Aaron rookie so great content good to see amazing friends that i also know like Sammy Thunder & Orlando so keep these great video's coming NY Lou
Thank you so much for taking us to the show. What an incredible Ruth item at the end. I just wanted to let you know coincidentally that I picked up the T206 Lajoie portrait SGC 2.5 at the Chantilly show as that was what I was looking for with some money given to me by my wife for my birthday. Was saving it for the April pickups next month in the show and tell and will give you the price then. The ones you showed were really nice especially the 4.0. All of you looked super happy in that photo. Have a great time!
This was so cool to see, Graig. Thanks for taking the time to film this and put it together for those of us who aren’t able to make it out there. Looking forward to the next part! 👊😆
Hi Graig, Thanks for taking us on your adventure to Strongsville show. I was overwhelmed by the vast amount of vintage cards. Just great quality everywhere you turn. It’s certainly a privilege to be able to see these shows virtually from home 🏡! Have a wonderful time at the show. Best Wishes, Peter
Looks like a great show & that you’re having an awesome time. Really like the fact that you take time while filming the showcases as that allows us to see the cards & prices, if showing. Thanks for sharing with us.
Great videos and pickups Graig, that Warren Spahn is sweet! It was great getting a chance to talk with you at Strongsville. True class act! Your content has transformed my hobby approach and collecting strategy, thanks for all your contributions!
Wow Graig, you had me at the first case with all those tobacco cards. Then you finish up with that Babe Ruth photo. Looks like an amazing show. Have fun.
Great video Graig. It was great to meet you. The show was so cool, I had a blast. I agree Diamond Cardboard had a great selection, I bought 2 great cards from him, must have been before you filmed because I didn't see the ones I bought.
I always appreciate card show footing like yours. Nice and slow so I can see all the prices on the cards I can't afford. lol. Thanks for taking us along, can't wait to see the pick-ups.
Super glad it came out well. When I’m not able to make a show, I always wonder how the shows went. Makes me happy that this footage helped people get a better idea of what was there.
What great pickups Graig! That Rogers Hornsby is absolutely beautiful! I just got back from a trip to Cooperstown, NY! Walking through that Hall of Fame makes you want to collect vintage even more! Congrats on your great trip and nice additions to your collection! Thanks for sharing
Man, thanks for sharing this footage! Great stuff at practically every table...what a show! Loved the final conversation with Orlando and the mega dealer. His autos/items were unreal.
Good stuff. Thanks for taking us along. The first table was a bangger out the gate. Unbelievable amounts of vintage cards. Nice footage wtth low amounts of glare.
Awesome video, Graig. It looks like an amazing show. I heard you made some awesome pick-ups and maybe one that is on my list for the National. I can't wait to see what came home with you!
Awesome video, thank you for posting. It's just great to see all the videos from collectors and shows around the US, now. Shows are definitely where it's at, these days. eBay seems to just have become a dumping ground for messed up cards and shiny new stuff (which is fine) - but it's a million times better seeing all this in person.
OMG Graig. So much eye candy. I love that first dealer from Iowa. I think it was Orlando that did an episode on his table at the national. There is something about the way he arranges his cases that helps visually on camera.
Great footage! Thanks for slowly scanning the cases! I'm about 2 hours from there. Will have to go to a show. What are the dates for their next show? Thank you!
So cool! This is definitely not a crazy drive for me. I will be putting this on my calendar for next year! They didn’t drop the date yet, did they???? Thanks for sharing your adventure Graig!
Seeing you show all of those tables, with high-end 4 and 5 figure cards, I'm ''suffering'' from, 4 stages of grief, lol. But looks, like a really good show and its great you get to meet some of your fellow RUclipsr hobby friends there. Maybe you'll come down, to Chantilly, VA show one of these days.
All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE stuff at that show. Saw plenty of Yaz cards that could go a long way to completing my run. Also saw one of the dealers had the 1954 Bowman Ted Williams aka "the forbidden fruit" card. Ted's contract with Bowman had run out before the card was released, so early in the print run on the 1954 Bowman cards, the card was pulled and replaced by a different Jimmy Piersall at number 66. That photo of Ruth in a Red Sox uniform blew my mind!
Graig, first i would like to thank you for going slow over the showcases and showing the prices clearly! Second, thanks for sharing that Ruth story at the end!! Dave
So my thoughts on ungraded cards being sold by dealers is that something is wrong with card and or very low grade. Reason if it had a chance to grade high the dealer would get graded. So beware when something looks to good. Thanks for video!
See this kinda show seems better to me than the national. BUT this is coming from someone who hasn’t been to either haha. Great video i love show videos like this
You Tube is the only place I will see anything vintage. West coast Pac NW is not where it is. My old LCS sold vintage and he's been gone for 10 years. If I could see a creased 1970 common....... Nice recap. It's amazing the volume of quality.
Like going through a museum. Not sure I saw a single card I can afford in those showcases. If I were there, I would be looking for commons boxes to pull 1950s and 1960s Tigers and Lions and any cards I need for 1971 Topps. I love and respect the amount of ungraded cards (I never demean them by calling them raw).
I watched the video of all the guys recapping the show. Lots of awesome cards, but I was drooling over a nice 1971 Kaline in a $5 box (and a nice McCovey all-star). That’s my jam at card shows.
With the supply of these cards it would seem that the prices would begin to go down. Or are dealers ok with keeping large inventories and basically having museums of cards.
Even though its amazing to see all those cards together, it seemed that Payne was charging way too high. I'm willing to shell out some major bucks for a card I would want, but I would probably just look but not touch most of those. But then again, it doesn't cost anything to make offers. You never know.
I wouldn't display the self-restraint you show, Graig. You're holding the Lajoie card you're looking for, you like how it looks and the price is decent ,,, and you put it back. In hopes of a lower price elsewhere? I'm sure that dealer would haggle, especially if you know him. What about the credo if you see the card you want, go for it? On another note, it's hard to believe in scarcity when one sees the sheer volume of top-tier vintage cards on offer. Do you get that feeling?
I see 7 johnyy unitas rookie cards in a row.. damn.. thats in my favorite football vintage card… to see that many sitting all together in a small show again makes me think its not a special card...
I got to the end of this video.. It actually depressed me as a vintage and pre war collector…. tons of those cards there for sale at a small show… when I look I my collection I think its kinda rare.. it certainly IS NOT after this video…
Thanks to your preview video with Ash I reached out for his 1948 Leaf Dimaggio on his website the day before the show. He had two PSA 4s and I did not specify which one. By the time he got back to me after the show he had sold it at the show. There it is at 10:13.
Sorry to hear that. I know he was busy setting up, but I know he was trying to check in with people, too. There will be more. Don't give up, you'll get that beauty, soon!!
oh u just said you see rows of the same player card.. yeah I dont feel so great about that… if they are that available and its a card I own it makes my card feel less dessirable… ur thougths ?
To be truthful.. at such a small show and to see ALL those vintage cards makes vintage not feel so special… I think of my collection as unique but when I see tables and tables of a small show of great vintage cards I think my collection is dimenshed….
@@MidLifeCards I thought Philly was the top vintage show but looked like alot of really strong stuff there.. maybe this show is a contender to philly.. Philly is much bigger tho but prolly most all the same vendors mixed in with modern so does not look so much vintage i guess..
Sammy and Orlando are awesome guys. I had a blast spending time with them.
I would be all over that ungraded stuff. Beautiful cards.... thanks so much for the preview!
There were piles and piles of ungraded cards.
Unbelievable!! It’s a continuous museum of cards!! Thanks for sharing this amazing video!!
So glad you enjoyed it.
Vintage goodness in every bite...washed down with red bull. LOL Looks like you had fun.
Tiring, but so much fun!!

The Lajoie portrait is one of my favorite cards in the hobby.
This was so cool to see, Graig. Thanks for taking the time to film this and put it together for those of us who aren’t able to make it out there. Looking forward to the next part! 👊😆
I hope you're going to the national. I'd love to meet you in person.

This is your best video to date. Chalk full of valuable information. Thanks.

Awesome video and recap, it was so cool to meet you and hang with you all.
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Likewise, my friend. You're a great guy.
Awesomeness, it was great seeing you and spending time together. ❤
One of the highlights of my trip was spending time with you, Orlando. This community is so lucky to have you.

It was truly incredible.
I LOVE how you share the contact information of the dealers! Cool and classy. Much appreciated.
Anything I can do to help others in the hobby. We're all in this together.

I always appreciate card show footing like yours. Nice and slow so I can see all the prices on the cards I can't afford. lol. Thanks for taking us along, can't wait to see the pick-ups.
Appreciate those kind words. Thanks.
Craig, key notes.....Ryan and Mantle rookies are expensive but not rare. Patience is key at these shows. Good stuff, on my way for day 2.
Fair point.
Man, that stuff is insane! Living vicariously through you.
It was NUTS!!
Mouth dropping stuff everywhere. Cool vlog
It was amazing.
Wow!!! What an experience!
100%
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. Really fun to watch!
I'm so glad. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic look at the cases and cards! Thanks for sharing for those of us who couldn’t make it!

The HOF is something all kids should attend. When they do, they'll appreciate vintage cards.
Awesome stuff Graig! Having so much fun at the shoe hanging out with everyone. It was nice to get to meet you and everyone else.
You're a great guy. I look forward to hanging out for many years to come.

Orlando is the best. Hanging with him was so much fun.
Good stuff. Thanks for taking us along. The first table was a bangger out the gate. Unbelievable amounts of vintage cards. Nice footage wtth low amounts of glare.
I worked hard to avoid the glare. The lighting in the room was great.

Love Ash! What a fine gentleman!!!
He's a really good dude.
That ending was goosebump central. Looks like an amazing show. I'd be broke first day. Thanks for sharing.
It was so hard to not go broke.
Great stuff! I especially loved the 1953 Mantles and the raw vintage.
Thanks for your videos!!!
I'm glad you liked it. We had a blast.
Thanks Graig. Awesome video. Would like to get there sometime. So much stuff and great stuff. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
It's a must attend show in my opinion.
Love seeing vintage represented at big shows! 💪
It was amazing.
Fantastic footage, wow, blown away by the selection and quality of cards here….great stuff

OMG Graig. So much eye candy. I love that first dealer from Iowa. I think it was Orlando that did an episode on his table at the national. There is something about the way he arranges his cases that helps visually on camera.
I agree. He does a great job. I bought a lot from him.
I enjoyed your very personable and measured narration. Good stuff!!!
Thank you kindly!
Glad I got to say hi and meet you today at the show.

The big vintage one is once a year. They do other shows, but not nearly like this.
So cool! This is definitely not a crazy drive for me. I will be putting this on my calendar for next year! They didn’t drop the date yet, did they???? Thanks for sharing your adventure Graig!

Demand out weighs supply imo. 1952 Topps Mantle, is far from, a scarce card, but even low grade has plenty of value to most collectors.
I think it's just a high concentration of high end dealers with lots of inventory. Nationally, I think it's still rare.
Thank you for sharing! Take dead aim on the prices! - golf joke
I know taking dead aim. Harvey Penick is a legend.
