Auto gun detect is pretty neat on this unit. The machine recognizes the spoolgun that you are attaching for simple set up. For example the Spoolmate 150 or Spoolmatic 15A!

Portable unit coming in at only 63 lbs plus it is compatible with the EZ-Latch cart which makes moving the machine around the shop easy. Also leaves the option open to remove if you need to take the machine to another location.

Hope your unit last more then a year without letting you down. Had the 215. Shorted out when using the spoolgun to weld aluminum.
Upgraded to the 220. Printed circuit board went out one year after using it. Fixed under warranty.
($1,700 repair)
1.5 years later, the connection for the tig torch started arcing yesterday. Now the lcd screen wont come on. Miller says no more warranty. Take it to a repair center. No troubleshooting, no way to fix it, nor any reason why it failed from technical support. As a self-employed welder, this blue box is how I feed my family and pay my bills. Both the 215 and 220 have let me down 3 times now. These machines are not made for longevity. Good luck with yours.

Yes for sure! Some people think it just is set at that but you can adjust up or down.
I threw down some pretty long welds on some 1/2 plates to 3/8 plate and welder never stopped, I love mine.
Not sure what spool gun would work best, I don't weld for a living I have received different advice ?
I'm a Miller service center and for the life of me I don't get why they didn't include AC tig in this
I can’t find a whole lot of reviews on the 235. Is it just because of the lack of AC tig ?
This machine is designed for a shop or home application to fit in where say a 252 would. Allowing a higher duty cycle and only 220 power. The ability to add a variety of Spoolguns is a good aluminum solution and it comes standard with the MDX-250 gun making it a bit more industrial than say a 215 or 220. The AC capability is great but it puts the machine out of the price range for many shops!

Agree with the dual voltage. We have 220 power here and love the 235!
So does the wire feed off of the bottom of the spool or off the top of the spool?
235 I just wish it had a pulse mig. because is size compact and not heavy. easy to carry

Miller is smart. They won’t offer an all in one machine. Most in one but not all.

Fronas can do it all and is a better rig.just saying though as a all in one.
I'm looking for one that I can take it out in the field hook up to 225 lincoln im running. I get in situations where I need mig instead of stick. I like suitcase's too. Mayb u can help me out what kind suitcase I should get.. thnx

which miller will do stick 6010 and 7018 with mig and tig ??
None of the Miller Multiprocess will do 6010 well. They will do 7018. ESAB units run 6010. A really reasonable STICK unit would be the Rogue or multiprocess check out the Rebels! Thanks for watching!

Is the liner rated for .045 or do you have to change it ?
You have to make sure you have that liner in but they come ready for .035
Would i be able to run this welder off of a generator that has a 220 volt plug?
Yes but you would need to have 12K watts at least
So it doesn’t like 6010, is there another rod that can be used with this machine that offers the penetration of the 6010
You can run 7018, and it will do 6010 just not well. Sorry! Only negative to this machine.

i just bought a bran-new miller 235 and it had parts missing off of it right out of the box, how you think i felt spending that much money and could not use it, i called miller about the problem and they acted like they really didn't give a damn, dont brag 2 me about how good a miller welder is or there service, its all made in china just like the ones you get from harbour freight...

What’s the largest flux cored wire this unit will take?
They offer the V-Knurled Drive rolls in (flux-cored or
difficult-to-feed wire) in the below sizes. Biggest would be the .052 which is 079608.

The 220 has AC. The 235 is only 220 powered and higher duty cycle but correct no AC TIG.

It’s not Worth the money you pay for it! I own it and my sons 211 keeps up with it and you can’t weld larger then 1/8 5000 series Aluminum wire!!!

Over priced for what the machine will do. Terrible mig gun design.
It is the MDX 250! We really like it compared to the previous Miller guns, a few little improvements. Which gun did you prefer? Did you try the new MDX?

Far nicer than the M-25 gun, and a hell of a machine
Have trouble getting done assembly off . Spatter binds up internal against diffuser. Try to keep it clean and it just gets a slug in there. Nice machine not happy with gun. Little overpriced

You can do thinner material. How thin did you want to weld and what type of application/material.
