The Fox Sports coverage was nonstop concern trolling...thank goodness the final was broadcasted on Telemundo where the whole of the coverage centered on joyous celebration and even though my Spanish is not great I could hear people enjoy the game instead of worry about irrelevant stuff
It was a dreadful penalty by Steph Houghton. The coach Serina Weigman doesn’t rate her and she hadn’t been picked since 2019
I personally believe that Hope Solo is the best keeper we've ever had. Sure off the pitch stuff is not cool. But on the pitch, there's no question

At the end of every video, she would say “and that’s the tea” while drinking an actual cup of tea. Sophie Turner herself even said that she wasnt offended at Morgan’s celebration and that she knew what the reference was.

1.The Lionesses won the Euro 2022 and Finalissima 2023. Half of the players for this game didn't made a return for this year's World Cup, notably Steph Houghton, Ellen White, and Jill Scott. The last two got retired after Euro 2022's triumph.
2.USWNT fared disappointed in Olympics, losing to Sweden and Canada. They snatched a bronze medal after thrilling win vs the current World Cup host Australia.
3.England also defeated USWNT 2-1 on recent friendlies at Wembley, where the USWNT didn't fielded Alex Morgan.
4.Phil Neville and Jill Ellis both were raised in England. Later on, Neville got sacked this year with MLS and Lionel Messi's current club, Inter Miami, whose owners was Neville's compatriot in Class of '92 with Manchester United and England legend, David Beckham!
We've come a long way from that unfortunate evening, hopefully we can do it again down under!
5. The Lionesses get to the World Cup 2023 final against Spain. Meanwhile USWNT got knocked out by Sweden on penalties in the round of 16.

That was a colossal blunder. Should have been a certain goal.
When she has the ball at her feet that she get completely focused on scoring that she doesn’t bother to look up to see her options beefier making the bad shot a goal. She could have gone to with Heath or Morgan but her sole intent after she intercepted the ball was to score and nothing else. I not sure even notice Heath or Morgan when she intercepted the ball.

Saw this live and that penalty awarded was very iffy, could of awarded could of not.. still Morgan was elite. This is one of the best soccer games played that no one is talking about- also it’s like a bakery out there🎂🎂🎂
It was clear penalty - but you need to use Var to see it - she got clipped from behind and the moment she was trying to place her foot in to position to shoot - this is more significant foul that many of those that are being called these days - it was right decision imho. But it is hard to see.

I literally tapped pause every millisecond I could on this app. And there was zero contact. Becky did get caught on the wrong angle but her presence altered the shot wide. It’s a cruel but a beautiful game indeed ⚽️

I know, I keep replaying it and I don't see any contact, if there is it's very minimal, certainly not enough to garner a penalty kick much less a yellow. White is prone to flopping tho.
