Weight in the spare tire well works better then hanging anything off axle you want the weight behind the rear axle for it to work the best . Speaking from experience doing a ton of no prep in a 525rwhp hp no prep stick shift car
Yep. Trunk works
That baby looks awesome with the wheels
Let me give yall a heads up about adding weight … i worked in the shop at a Clark forklift dealer in knoxville Tn .. when the forks got worn so we couldnt safely use them on our rental forklifts and i got to cut one up n take home .. a piece near the elbow about the size of a normal mans hand weighs about 20 pounds .. its thick heavy because its dense and you can use it to add weight to your car and add more weight and take up less space … if you go to your local forklift dealer they may have some old forks they will sell you cheap for weight in your car .
Great video Brother! Andrew is doing some awesome work on his car! The Poop Coupe is coming along nicely too! 👊🏾👊🏾
Good shit buddy, you guys are knocking it out of the park need to see the 65 all done nobody😊
car is looking great welds look really nice very solid 👍
That car is gonna be Nastee, when all is said n done. You guys are killing it. 🤘😖🤘
Things are coming together for Andrew and the Poop Coupe, wishing the best of luck with this Alabama heat index, I live in Central Alabama
It’s definitely coming together on his car. The Poop Coupe is creeping on the come up too 😎✊
Too nice for the poop coupe, put in poppa T’s!
It’s definitely too nice for the Poop Coupe 🤣
Alot of tracks will not allow you to hang weights like that because of safety and falling off the car is a knock out great lioking foxbody great job on it
You are supposed to have the car resting on the suspension when welding them sub connectors. They are so flemsy that was risky
Yeah i thought so too. When I did them in a buddies car we build crates to put the car up on. But I’m sure tons of them get installed on lifts. And unsprung weight works better then sprung weight
The car was loaded from the front k member and the rear end. What matters is keeping the car from drooping so that when you weld everything up you don’t lock it into a drooping position. As far as the tall jack stands go.. yeah they aren’t the strongest thing but the lift was only a couple of inches off the car just in case something happened.
Don’t forget to weld in the bend reinforcement plates for the subframes MMS recommends that part
Sweet Thunder coupe! Awesome Awesome Awesome! You all doing an amazing job on this! Thanks for sharing so much fun! Maybe 5.0 Thunder?
Honestly I’m slightly surprised that the car didn’t already have subframe connectors in it.
It's about to get serious, Andrew your car is looking bad azz.
always loved andrews car , started to get serious now !!
I wish they would make a header panel for the four eyes
400 DOLLARS for a center console 🥴 Im good.
You mean a shell. Their prices suck. 200 for some blue rad hoses? Im good.
@@mistersecret88 For real. What golden inlaid silver spoon audience are they selling too? Last time I checked normal people cant fork over that kind of money for even half of the stuff they sell anymore. Becoming kinda ridiculous. 200 dollar door handles, 400 dollar console shell, 1000 dollar door cards...
@@Gear1993Headi thought they were nuts 1000 for door panels. I bought from them in the past but the prices are too high for my wallet.
Seems like an odd place for the weights. Normally you would put them in the trunk to help plant the suspension. Not saying it wont work. I'm interested to see how it does. I love the videos. Nice welds young man! Clean ass car you have there.
I spent 450 for a 86 console in perfect condition. They are getting hard to come by.
Man the poop coupe would be a badass raffle car I always wanted a notchback
Is there a video or anything on what the new engine is?
Sprung weight works way better for no prep or street stuff than hanging weight on or off of the axle!!!! Trust me you will be very grateful in the long run plus it's easier to adjust weight if needed
It’s not a matter of what is better.. they both work in conjunction with each other. Any weight you can apply to the tires is good for traction. Unsprung weight is there at all times even before the car has a chance to transfer sprung weight.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY100% correct
Did you weld the plate over the dimples in subframe?if you dont it can still bend
No kidding. Those consoles always break after they get so old.
Agreed 💯👌
DUDE Andrews car is just sick, can't wait to see more on the coupe man
Did you have to do anything to get those wheels and tires to clear on the rear? I'm looking for wheels right now. Didn't you say 15x10 with 6.5 bs?
What was the clank, when Andrew pulled in the driveway, then when he spun the tires, in the driveway?
By chance did you guys make the brackets for the weights or buy them?
Andrews car is looking great ...is he going to run at the track r wait till new motor is in? Brew2l u going with black in poope coupe?
Yes he will be running the car before the new engine. I think black may play a role in the color scheme…. 😎
@@BREW2LFOXBODY black ok .I have a couple pieces of black if needed..
Never seen someone weld subframe connectors on a scissor lift.
If you need anything specifically for the coupe let me know
Will do thanks!
Where do you get the weight brackets? Thanks for the videos!!
Andrew ordered them from someone online. Not sure who though.
What size front wheels and tires?
Waiting for them to make an arm rest 😒 can't find them anywhere
sub frame connecters are supposed to be welded with the car on the ground !!!!!!!!!
I have a bunch of parts, what you missing?
Never seen weights there. Im intrigued.
Big argument in the no prep world right now over unsprung weight Vs sprung weight.
I believe both together sprung and in sprung is the answer.

@@Neomustangs TRUST IN NEO ✊
Why does he have his turn downs angled to the side instead of pointing straight down
Resonance
So it doesnt blow dust on your car when driving on back roads.
Shouldn’t the weight be sprung for transfer? Either way very creative.
Correct for best weight transfer it should to be added sprung weight along with a 100% anti-squat value or more for this to work the most efficiently
Add 400 pounds, it will really hook
Why not put the weight in the spare tire well ?
Because that’s sprung weight
@Neomustangs Gotcha. Had no clue. Never seen it attacked to the axles like that.
What is the address to send in parts??
At the moment we don’t need anything. But email me at BREW2LVLOGS@gmail.com and I can send you the address
Wouldnt that be considered prep?
😮 $399

This video is fake. I didn’t see one person do the piece of welding slag dropped in my shoe dance 😂
Hanging weights from the rear end isn't going to help much.
