There are 136 slots to fill in Series 2 Books and the mission is to find the 1950-D Key Date Jefferson Nickel to complete the Series 2 Album. This is part 164 of the series (Boxes 189 and 190 for Series 2) and I do plan on updating it from each nickel box I hunt from this point forward until the nickel coin collection is completed!

FYI - The Dansco Album does not have spots for some coins but we'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels (namely semi-key and key date nickels), Liberty V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and our eyes open for some valuable and rare Nickels!

Rob I hate to tell you this , and I kid you not, I found a 1950 D last week in $100 of customer returned rolls, that was the first one for me , and like you I am working on the Jefferson album just from coin roll hunting, I still need the 1943 D

Silver and Buffalo, at least it wasn't a skunk. Got to be a 50 D out & about needing a good home 🤞
My last two nickel box hunt I had 38 total finds the best ones were 2 V nickels a 1911 and a 1904, six buffalo nickels the dates were 1914, 1915, 1918 S, 1920 D and two 1925's, a 1942 S war nickel which I needed for my album and a 2002 proof. It was an awesome hunt
Even if you didn't find that 1950 D, this was a fun hunt.

Love watching you hunting all of the coins a couple of nice finds. I was wondering if you had a Buffalo nickel album that you are filling. That probably would take forever to find and fill than finding the 1950 D. Keep on Hunting, you will find that 50 D it wouldn't surprise me that you will find two in one box. Good hunting, Rob.

I average one a year in my part of Minnesota for Buffalo nickels, maybe more if I did box hunts. I find most of my coins while working as a cashier.
im currently waiting to hear back about a job here in PA called CoinWrap INC and would be responsible for fixing the coin wrapping machines that wraps all these coins!

I found a misprint done I think 2016 p or 2010 p but I'm sure it's. A weak strike or both double n weak stricken lol😢😂
I intentionally throw buff nickels and wheaties back into circulation for other people to find 👍. Having hoards of sub $0.25 coins isn’t interesting to me but might make someone else excited!

In the first box was the one roll short or the other one over?
I found a 1937 no mint today out of 60 bucks worth. Only about 8 finds nothing special the 37 was nice tho full date.
I found a 1941-p nickel with an "H" above the monticello that doesn't look hand drawn, it looks as dated as the coin. Anyone know what it might be?
His can i tell if its no date or worn off ?

I got 5 rolls of nickels this afternoon ...half dozen from the 60s ...a 42 d non silver ...a 43 p silver....nothing else ...dang no buffs no v...no 09s ..bummer
