I love this video. John Rahm and his thoughts on swinging the club have put a smile on my face. I have a short back swing which I’ve tried to change in the past because I see others with a full swing and get jealous, however sticking to my old swing still get my drives out to 240yd mark. I’m off 5 because I’m consistent and Johns words and thoughts have giving me confidence that I’m on the right track. Great work Piers and Andy!
Yes this is super awesome. Absolutely love meeting the pro's and the different thoughts that they bring to their game and the content. I think Jon Will def winner a major this year.
@@meandmygolf. World No 1, I think so. What percentage (out of 100 would you say after watching this video), that hitting the fairway makes on his game and the average golfer? I mean, it seems when I hit the fairway it's so so much easier for my 2nd/3rd to the green or at least close to it. Being consistent to the fairway could dramatically change a game yes?
jon is number 1 today!!! u guys were RIGHT !!! he is a nice guy , bombs it off the TEE , very nice putt and short game , attitude , clean game.! nice to watch! congrats to you guys and HIM. GO JON
Great idea! I think bringing a series to this channel was a great idea and will allow some different content that not many other golf channels can offer.
They posted this as a reply to someone else as the reason they had to take it down 'Hi Dakota. Sorry but we had to take it down due to something one of Rory's contracts that was conflicting. Gutted as it was a great video and Rory was a class act.'
I think Jon has a very compact and repeatable swing and his swing reminds me of DJ (wrist)and Tony (short swing) this is why he is so successful. He got is first win at Torrey Pines‘ South Course where he holed an incredible 60- footer on the last to seal his victory. Great video guys
Torrey Pines was his first win! :) This is a great video, it is so interesting to see and hear about how high-level pros such as Jon cope with challenges put on them that go against their natural swing and ball-flight inclinations. Cheers
Never mind i just seen a comment from Meandmygolf as a response to someone else as to why it got removed - 'Hi Dakota. Sorry but we had to take it down due to something one of Rory's contracts that was conflicting. Gutted as it was a great video and Rory was a class act.'
@@SiLoMixMaster bummer!!! it was so good!!!! For anyone interested, the things I mostly remember him talking about was his take away, with the club head starting straight back, and the club shaft getting to perpendicular to the ground before getting the the top...he mentioned ball position and some distances.
AWESOME series guys...THANK YOU! I enjoy watching Jon play...I think he has a very good chance to win a major this season if he stays in a good place emotionally...even keel for 4 rounds!
Many top pros bow the lead wrist these days. How exactly do they do it ? Do they start immediately during the take away or all at once near the top of the backswing? Do they do it with the lead hand only or is the right hand hinging to make it happen?
Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines was his first PGA win. Interesting segment guys. His swing is so effortless for that carry distance. Been working on slowing down the backswing to speed up the club and his stroke highlights that. Keep them coming.
Very articulate and insightful commentary. What I call an "abbreviated back swing" is making it more and more into my subconscious swing thoughts. It makes a lot of sense and it's great to hear a pro like Rahm confirm it's validity. Also just seems like a cool dude to play a round of golf with.
Great video Piers and Andy! Jon seems like such a nice guy and was very open about his swing and his swing thoughts. Taylormade does a great job with getting all their top guys in the media with content like this.
i slice my drive all the time with a normal grip and a tiger woods length swing but i recently tried Jon Rahm's swing with the bowed wrist and the short swing and i can now hit it further and stright. just want to ask u if i should stick with Jon Rahm's swing or try learn how to hit my drive with a normal swing. thanks guys love ur in depth vids (and shout out to jon u legend)
When he says he takes a step back to aim left does he been both feet or one?? Trying to get my head around how this makes him aim left of both feet move back.
Jon was really engaging with Pierce and Andy. It would have great of P & A to dive a little deeper into Jon's short back swing . How does he generate power with that swing...sequence, tempo, impact and etc. Thanks.
He’s the example they used in TPI level 1. Club foot in the back foot prevents the proper range of motion. So unless you plan to break his foot and rebuild it, you work with what he’s got. I love TPI.
Hey does anyone know where the video the me and my golf guys did which is part of the ultimate golfer series with Rory mcilroy explaining how he strikes his irons. It was on this channel a few days ago but has for some reason been removed??? Will piers and Andy publish it on there channel again??? Please help.
Torrey pines was the big fellas first win on the PGA Tour, guys superb job, yet again, watching you guys and getting an insight into all of these great players at Taylormade really does help me out with making the correct adjustments in my game, awesome stuff, keep up the good work 🏌️♂️
For your chance to WIN 3 dozen of Jon Rahm's golf balls leave your comment down below telling us what golf course was his first PGA Tour win at?
Torrey Pines Golf course, San Diego, California. That was where he won. Right?
Torrey Pines!
Torrey Pines
2017 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. I'd also add that while your content is great. Is the font accessible for everyone?
Torrey Pines Golf Course
From all the Jon Rahm videos I've seen, he seems like such a humble and chill guy. I'm rooting for him at the October Masters!
Hope you kept rooting 🤝
He’s actually a baby on the course.
The boys called it! Masters champion!
At 14:57s the guy predicted Jon Rahm to be World No. 1. Well, he is now with his win at Jack’s Memorial.
I always thought my shorter swing was a bad thing but seeing Jons swing gives me hope! 😂
excellent video guys, great to see john swiping some drivers
He sure can hit that driver

Totally agree Neil. Jon is a great player and we think he will be a world no. 1 someday.

Loving Jon Rahm getting involved with the youtubers! This is the future of tv!
I love the logic behind this because it’s how I fixed my hook! Have to work to draw it but I never miss left now which makes me hit way more fairways
The big man won at Torrey Pines. Thanks for the content I’m learning so much.
Jon Rahm's first win was at one of my favorite courses; Torrey Pines in wonderful San Diego, California!!!
jon is number 1 today!!! u guys were RIGHT !!! he is a nice guy , bombs it off the TEE , very nice putt and short game , attitude , clean game.! nice to watch! congrats to you guys and HIM. GO JON
Torrey Pines; that was fun to watch! Loved the focus on shortening the swing - super interesting
Great idea! I think bringing a series to this channel was a great idea and will allow some different content that not many other golf channels can offer.
Glad you enjoyed it. We have some great weeks ahead of us!
Meandmygolf where is the video of Rory explaining how he hits irons? That video is gold. Please post the video again. Why was it removed???
John Rahm won Torrey Pines he’s such a beast , great new series going to hate the wait for the other parts !!!
Hey did they post a why I’m the ultimate iron player with Rory or am I just imagining it?
kierz79 yes I agree where is that video gone. Come on Andy and Piers where is it and why has it been removed????
They posted this as a reply to someone else as the reason they had to take it down
'Hi Dakota. Sorry but we had to take it down due to something one of Rory's contracts that was conflicting. Gutted as it was a great video and Rory was a class act.'
These are great videos guys . Its what we golfers want . I like hearing how these guys tick and what the feel and try to achieve . Keep them coming .

Great video guys
Torrey Pines - Farmer's Open! La Jolla - my home town woohoo! And Jon is my favorite player...thanks for being a class act Jon
307 carry after one "warm up" swing. Man.
Biggest John Rahm fan out there ....Torrey Pines...love these videos ...see you on the tour
Why was the Rory Iron video removed?
Craig Berry yes I agree where is that video gone. Come on Andy and Piers where is it and why has it been removed????
Nike had it take down. Violated a contract of some sorts
Its back
Dude smashes drives! Can learn so much from listening and watching him.
Torrey Pines was his first win! :) This is a great video, it is so interesting to see and hear about how high-level pros such as Jon cope with challenges put on them that go against their natural swing and ball-flight inclinations. Cheers
"its gonna be kinda rough" understatement of the century, love rahm!
where did the Rory McIlroy video go?
SeanShots yes I agree where is that video gone. Come on Andy and Piers where is it and why has it been removed????
I was just thinking the same thing! I watched the video when it was up and don't remember seeing anything that would warrant it being taken down
Never mind i just seen a comment from Meandmygolf as a response to someone else as to why it got removed -

What a bloody nice bloke. Hits it hard too... great to see and hear his thought processes.
Torrey Pines ....
Great video. A bit weird how andy’s talking about Jon like he’s not there though.
He plays golf just like me. Finally someone I can model my game around.
Need slow motion footage of the swing to get something out of this.
Good to watch, nice video! Jon's first PGA tour win was at Torrey Pines GC, USA.
I hope he wins a major this year, but he does not he will eventually and will be more than one.
We think he will win one Kyle.
Rahm will definitely win one if he can execute his short game. Maybe watch the Day videos for inspiration. heh
Torrey pines in San Diego! I played it once and aced the third hole on the south course, absolutely loved this video
Can't stand the guy. Acts like a whiny child on each and every miss.
Can't stand watching him either.
@@sonexayphannourat852 watch him against Brodie Smith golf he is actually alright
Great video, thanks. I play a backwards wrist hinge also, so it's very beneficial seeing and hearing how the best players make it work.
Honestly, how you could you actually 'unlike' this video. Jeez. Loved it, can't wait for the next 4 vids guys!
Glad you enjoyed it Mark.
Rham has it in his locker to win a major this year, quality player and top guy. Masters win.
AWESOME series guys...THANK YOU!
I enjoy watching Jon play...I think he has a very good chance to win a major this season if he stays in a good place emotionally...even keel for 4 rounds!
On any day any pro can win a major. If Mr. Rahm wins I’d be super excited. Gentleman!!!! Golf is so great!!! Great video thank you guys!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Scott.
Great video guys! Love Jon Rahm....my favourite golfer!!
His first win was at Torrey Pined and sunk an amazing eagle putt on the last hole!! 🏌️♂️⛳️

Iv followed you lads from the start and it’s great to see your hard work and endless videos have paid off.Keep up the great work 👍
Appreciate the comment and support Chris.

Torrey Pines. It’s great too see and how he explains how he sets up and hits for the tee shot he needs to hit.
Great video guys really impressive to see John Rahm doing what he does best! First course he won on was Torrey Pines farmers insurance open 👍🏻
Thanks Andrew. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Wow, really good insight. I'm a big fan of Jon's short back swing. Very cool
First class guys and what a real down to earth guy John Rahm is. Looking forward to the next one.
Glad you enjoyed it Joe!
Great insight into a player with such natural ability. Class
Awesome video guys. Thanks so so much. Could you please tell me how high he tees it up on his normal shot...the second one on this video.
Great job! These series with the pros are awesome. btw Rahm's first PGA win was at Torrey Pines
Glad your enjoying them Zhamlett!

Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome player, great video. His first PGA Tour win was Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey pines.
Wish I had that swing
Very similar advice that Rory gave in one of your videos. Tee it high to get that positive attack angle and load into the right side.
Funny. I got shaft fitted today for an M5 and I was joking with the guy about trying to get my Rahm high fade. Mine didn't carry 307 though...
This Ultimate Golfer series...so good. Would give two likes if I could.
Jon was really engaging with Pierce and Andy. It would have great of P & A to dive a little deeper into Jon's short back swing . How does he generate power with that swing...sequence, tempo, impact and etc. Thanks.
He won the Farmers Insurance Open on the 18th green at Torrey Pines (South Course). Great eagle by Jon on that one.
Great video! Always interesting to hear how the tour pros get it done
He won at Torrey Pines for his first Pga tour victory in 2016 the. Farmers Insurance Open.
San Diego,California
Just watched the live stream you guys are the best!
Torrey pines was the course
Rahm won the Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines. Great video!
Torrey Pines!. Love your videos they're so educational. John Rahm has so much talent. Keep it going big man.
He’s the example they used in TPI level 1. Club foot in the back foot prevents the proper range of motion.

Jon Rahms first PGA win was at Torrey Pines Farmers Insurance Open! One of my favorite players to watch
Does a weaker left hand grip help with the bowed wrist at impact?
Great video guys! I am a big fan of your from India.
As for the answer Jon’s first win was at Torrey Pines.
Torrey pines off course..!
Always enjoys your show..!
Best..!!
Thank you Paul! plenty more to come!
Great to see Jon. Amazing insight from a pro. Keep up the great work!
Torrey Pines Golf Course. Great video. Rham is a great guy. He loves what he does and bt the way, he is like a golf encyclopaedia. Believe me!!!
super interesting to hear him talk about a shorter swing
Nice video, thanks guys !!
Really liked that. I would like to see more like that, very cool!
Torrey Pines. Another good one lads. Great to see a pro happy with a shorter back swing and making it work. Give us mortals hope😂

Short backswing... love it, thanks, PS Torrey Pines, 3 doz, please
Torrey Pines Golf course, San Diego, California. That was where he won. Right?
Torrey Pines. Made an awesome putt from the back of the 18th green to win.
I would love to see some of the older golfers come on with some tips. Would love to see some tips from Fred Couples. Great vids. Thank you
Jon Rahm won the Farmers Insurance open in 2017. This was his first tour win on the US PGA Tour. Jason Duncan.
His best tip on his first ball hit “ah let me hit a few warm up balls first”. If the pros need to warm up; us am’s sure do too
Awesome video! Torrey Pines was his first win. Hope to see many more for him.
These are great videos , picking the brains of some of the biggest names in golf 👌
Glads you enjoyed it Richard!
What a great guy! Loved this video

John Rahm first win at Torrey pines
The current pga event Farmers in 2017. I look for him to win the Masters this year.
DID YOU HAVE TO PULL RORYs part?
Torrey Pines. Great video. He's one of my favorites
Is it ok for ones stance to aim completely away from the target when driving ?
As long as you hit your target that is all that matters.
2017 Farmers Insurance Open Torrey Pines: I loved this video. I love the short back swing.
