You two have great enthusiasm for what you do and it is one of the reasons I watch your channel. Your reaction to the Tiger irons reminds me of when I got my first pair of Jimmy Choos. Just too damn beautiful to use. I haven't played blades or worn heels in years but can still appreciate these works of art. Look forward to your Tiger driver video.

What I love about blades is that you know when you hit them right. I had a Set of 2012 taylormade MB irons but got the P790s back in July last year because I wasn’t playing as much and wasn’t making solid enough contact anymore with any consistency. But now I’m playing more and practicing more and have learned to hit the 790s. Now I’m using the MBs as a sort of “training aid” to even further making solid contact with the ball. Not really caring about the distance because the lofts and technology in the clubs aren’t the same. But the sweet spot is considerably different on each.

Don’t expect any distance from them but good ball strikers can expect really tight dispersions especially from back to front. Just pray you stay away from the toe with your strikes though lol.

    Frozen rope! Swinging well Ian!
    Quick question.
What spins more on an iron relative to vertical strike. If impact occurs under the CG of an iron does it spin less or more? And what applies to a strike that’s above the CG.
It’s just cross field confused me on one of his videos about his 9i blade. He placed lead tape on the back of the club for it to increase spin and I was surprised with the location. I always thought vertical gearing would apply.
    Cheers

We love golf right , so I say if you have a job and can put it on credit card , you'll probably be able to catch up to it , plus you basically have 1 month interest free on a credit card

They are like Mizuno MP -14/29s. MP 14s are forgiving for a blade. I think Tiger handed TM an MP14 and said make me this.

Ian! Can I ask you about the feel? Do they feel like a Mizuno? I am really curious. Thanks

I wonder what lofts Adam Scott plays? I kinda see him playing those weaker lofts as well. ...but, I could be wrong.

I think tiger plays weaker than 35 degrees in loft on his 7? I’m sure I read they have made these standard but you can buy tiger lofts which is more like 36.5 in his 7

Stock is 35° but Tiger plays 36° according to TM: www.taylormadegolf.eu/P7TW-Irons/DW-AL447.html
Lofts seem to have stayed the same over the years: forums.golfwrx.com/discussion/588601/tiger-specs-screenshot

How'd they feel/sound? Didn't speak to workability or forgiveness? People keep noticing the mill grind but not speaking to its functionality, I still don't get why it's there. Curious to know how these blade type irons play vs the 760s or traditional high end blades like miura or pxg. Let us know...

Does the milled sole perform better through the turf than say a srixon sole?

I saw this for sale at around $2000 for the whole set. Contemplating buying it during this difficult times.
